    I got this for Christmas. And have watched 2 other videos on it from two other people. Both said to use expresso in it. If you buy your own coffee beans to grind, do it on the fine setting. I bought some from a local coffee shop today, and had them grind it very fine for this machine, today. That could be why it was having a hard time brewing. I am going to try mine out in a little bit.

      You have to do what's called dialing in. Trial and error til you find what works. Make sure you do 15 grams worth though for consistency and to prevent overfilling which will cause to under extract

    I have this machine and I do a heaping mound of espresso in the portafilter and tamp it. This makes it more than 3-4 full and it can be a little tough to put it on the machine but I’ve never had brewing issues with it that way. Hope this helps you get some more espresso for your shot!

      Measure 15 grams worth for consistency and prevent overfilling which will cause under extraction. Make sure it's level before tamping to reduce channeling. Want to get the very best out of it? Get a 51mm Bottomless Portafilter, get a wdt tool, and a quality 51mm Tamper. Don't forget to get a coffee scale too for exact grams. Dial in your coffee grind size, fill it into the 51mm bottomless Portafilter with 51mm dosing Ring on it. stir with wdt tool starting from the bottom working your way to the top, tap on flat counter surface, to level it and settle grounds to stay in Portafilter after you remove ring, then tamp with the quality 51mm tamp, slide into grouphead and brew. That's if you want to get the very best from this machine.

    So I noticed you used regular coffee. Using regular coffee roast is most likely what was causing the issues that you spoke about it not brewing properly. Espresso is grounded very fine and coffee is grounded thicker and that machine is made for espresso roast so that's probably why it wasn't brewing correctly before, just a heads up :)

    • @morganskitchen2415

      Every time you want a cup you would use new coffee.

  • @MadameSomnambule
    @MadameSomnambule ปีที่แล้ว

    I got mine for Christmas and it did a good job sucking up water to put in the cup when I primed it, but it refuses to suck up milk. The milk goes partway up the rubber tube but then goes down again and all that comes out is water and steam. It’s brand new so idk what’s going on

    • @morganskitchen2415
      @morganskitchen2415  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's too bad. It should work just fine with no issues. If you can't figure out what's going on and if the manual doesn't help I'd see about returning it. I'm sure you could get another one or a different model.

      Apparently, from what I've read espresso is made very warm (not hot) because heating it too much would affect the flavor profile. This is not good for people who like their coffee very hot.

    I am disappointed with my purchase. The espresso is lukewarm. I tested it with a digital thermometer and the highest temperature was 114F. (half what is supposed to be a good espresso : 200F) it gets cold quickly and for this reason I am returning my machine.

    Why would you use Folgers Coffee in an Espresso machine? You are supposed to use Espresso ground for a home machine. It’s a finer ground. You might as well just be using a regular coffee machine if you’re not going to use espresso.
