    Fantastic! My problem was the white silicone seal thingy. I had it installed incorrectly for over a year! Your video showed how it is supposed to be installed. Thanks.

      mine eventually died, I got 3 years heavy use from it so not too bad,
      Bought a Gevi 20 bar, very good, more control over the milk steaming. I reviewed it.

    Ive cleaned every nooks and crannies of this assembly. Still no froth. I finally figured out that there is a big difference between regular milk and whipping milk, which ive been using for rich flavor. The latter is very thick, hence, wont froth. Good thing i got an almond milk laying around, which gave my cup a bubble bath.

    • @gerardjones7881
      @gerardjones7881  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I add water to regular milk, saves money and still makes decent froth with less tendency to overflow the cup.

    Did not work. The problem is hard water deposit in the water tank. Probably needs a lime remover

    Picked my unit up used for $25 and it was frothing fine until recently. I tried descaling it with vinegar and water but it’s still not working like before. I’m going to follow the instructions and see if it fixes the problem. I guess I can’t complain since I got it so cheap.

    My mum's Mr Coffee Cafe Barista was working well until 2 days ago...followed video cleaning all parts and then...used distilled vinegar to clean/run thru system. Coffee runs normally but now not only is no milk extracted from milk reservoir but water/vinegar found it way into the reservoir. Opened top and see very slow and small amount of water running thru hose to steamer. Do I need new diffuser or value? Thankyou

    I followed all these directions and unfortunately didn't improve. The issue seems to be the suction as the steam comes out the level of the milk inside the clear silicone tube that pulls it up into the frother bounces up and down but rarely if ever actually goes up into it. Gonna play around with the positioning of the silicone ring, maybe the previous owner placed it wrong

    • @gerardjones7881
      @gerardjones7881  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      its assembled wrong, you have a big air leak.
      Its usually the silicone cube oriented wrong.

      @@gerardjones7881 thank you for your instructions they’re amazing even I could do it :) I still have steam coming out of my wand but it will not draw out of the milk pitcher? Took it apart cleaned it soaked it all in vinegar (and ran vinegar through the machine steaming fine) everything you suggested but it does not draw out of the pitcher for milk but it will steam and steam and steam while cleaning and making latte espresso cappuccino ? Just won’t draw any liquid or water out of the milk pitcher and I put vinegar in the milk picture but it still doesn’t help? Please help any recommendations thank you

    Followed these instructions and found a bit of crud. I think I'm having a different issue though. I'm not getting any suction noise from the frother. Zero water or milk coming from it. Sometimes it starts to make the suction sound for a fraction of a second at the beginning of a cap/latte and then stops. Anyone else with the same problem? Any solutions?

    • @gerardjones7881
      @gerardjones7881  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      sounds like the valve that allows boiling water/steam into the milk container.
      if you probe it be sure to wear a rubber glove, steam burns are nasty. sounds like something is clogging it.

      @@gerardjones7881 thanks for the tip. It appears to open and close normally and I don't see any residue there. Have you ever looked inside the main appliance? Is there anything serviceable inside?

    • @gerardjones7881

      @@bee_finally_306 I would try to operate the valve under pressure, tricky due to the nature of steam being so damn hot.
      I've heard the heater can get toasted if you let it run out of water when making a cup, done that a few times but it keeps chugging.
      A new diffuser for the milk container sells for $12, might be worth swapping it out for a known good one.
      Can you get pressurized hot water from the coffee spout ?
      If yes , then theres nothing wrong with the heater element. Problem is on the milk side, valve or diffuser.
      I would only open the machine up after everything else is eliminated.

      @@gerardjones7881 Making espresso works fine - just not the milk portion. I tried opening the valve under pressure and nothing came out. Might consider opening it up if I can find the right screwdriver.

    • @bee_finally_306

      Fixed it! I'll leave a post in case it helps others. There are two tri-wing screws on the back of the machine (they are visible after removing the water reservoir). Remove the screws and you can carefully pry the top off. This gives you access to most of the internals. If you remove the screws on the bottom, you can remove the bottom as well, but that didn't reveal anything useful. Anyway - I took out the boiler (I assume that's what it is). Disassembled it and cleaned out the crud inside. The water exit for the milk frother is at the top of the boiler. I thoroughly cleaned the exit from the boiler and reassembled everything. Now it steams like a locomotive. I'm guessing more regular cleaning with vinegar would have prevented the crud buildup inside the boiler. Now I'm hopeful this machine will last a long time. Cheers.
