    Great video. The problem that everyone has with this machines

    That issue was part of my problem so thank you for showing me. The main issue I had was the back gasket. Not only is there a gasket on the front of the nob but also a bigger one at the back to seal it completely. Then my big issue was that in the frother pipe that’s in the lid of the reservoir there was a narrowing that an extra piece of plastic ,that was there since molding, that flapped shut every time it tried to suck it up. One I rubbed that off it’s worked like a charm.

      Still haven't been able to find the correct seal for it though.

      @@metalplasticelectronics354 Just knowing it's a seal is enough for me for now, I'll try a few and let you know if I find the magic one

    Thanks for posting this. I was immediately able to identify the problem and ordered the 8mm id 11 mm od o rings in nitrile. Nitrile can withstand temps well above boiling. I was not able to get 2 rings seated next to each other without one wanting to pop off when adding the milk reservoir so I tried just one. It worked great. For 5 dollars I got a bag of 50 o rings so even if they wear out over time, it will be plenty to keep the machine going for years.

      Let me know how they do; I'm still on the lookout for the correct seal.

      @@user-pd7il8xs4r yes, as mentioned in my original comment, nitrile can withstand temperature well above boiling.

    Mine is missing that silicone straw for the froth. So hard finding a replacement!

    Bought that exact Chefman a few months back. Looks like Chefman is now using two rubber band orings or something over the fitting.
    Unfortunately, sometimes the frother works and sometimes it doesn't. I'm thinking it has something to do with the air pressure, but yesterday, the frother wouldn't froth on the latte but it did on the other two functions.
    Today, the frother doesn't work at ALL 🤣😎

      Maybe it always did, I never saw what was the original seal. It's not a good shape for O-rings but they do work.

      So mine did the same thing I commented on a couple of other comments to show exactly what I did that fixed it perfectly. I also needed O-rings. I’m pretty sure.

      If I remember correctly it blinks when it's heating. You might check and see if the heating element or a thermal fuse going to the heating element is open.

    Hello, I just got one and when making a latte my coffee tastes and smells like plastic any ideas what it could be? Thank u in advance

      You might want to do some water-only runs through it. You could put a bit of white vinegar in the water to run through it. I've done that in the past to get the plastic taste out of gadgets.

      So far, the small O-rings have stayed in place. At least my brother hasn't said anything about them coming off. I'm not expecting to ever find the right gasket for it.

      The O-rings from Harbor Freight failed a couple of weeks ago. I ordered some silicone O-rings measuring 11 mm by 1.5 mm. But I've got to get the machine back to try them. I'm a little worried they are too soft. I may need to try and find some that are harder. I think very soft ones will want to roll off.

      It's weird because it clean well, and there's no water leaking

    • @metalplasticelectronics354
      @metalplasticelectronics354  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If no water was leaking when cleaning I don't think the seal is the problem. Water would leak all over the place in this one when cleaning. Is it producing steam?

      So mine did the same thing. The part that goes into the machine from the reservoir narrows in the lid and mine had a small piece of plastic left on from the factory mold that would flap shut closing off suction. You can get to it by removing the three screws in the lid and then taking it apart. They’re moving one more screw and then that part pops right off and if that’s the issue you’ll be able to see a small piece of plastic on top of the cone.

    i bought thi smachine and im just confused why it barely dispenses any froth? it says in the booklet that a double latte is like 10 oz or 14 oz or something...well, i filled up the milk reservoir, hit double latte, and it filled about half of my 12 oz cup up... so what gives? what am i doing wrong?

    • @stevenstuder705
      @stevenstuder705 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The o rings (the one on the tip and back of the machine tube)are a big issue if you fix this and there doesn’t seem to be suction it might be another issue. On mine I found a tiny piece of plastic that they left on from the factory that was on the tip of a piece that narrows in the lid of the frother. If you remove the three screws then take it apart then remove the last screw holding it all in the part that goes into the coffee maker comes off and that was where my problem was. That piece of plastic would cover that cone and would stop the suction.
