Great informative video, Bill. From your description, it sounds like doing contract. Work would probably be more up my alley than actually having a regular job!

Helpful overview of the pros and cons of contract work. Glad you highlighted the fact that it's not uncommon (especially in the current job market) for people to be unemployed for 6 or even 12 months. A contract role can definitely help someone secure a paycheck and get their foot in the door for a potential full-time position. Thanks Bill for helping people think critically about whether a contract role is right for them.

Yes, 6 to 12 month unemployment periods is not the stigma it once was. Especially for professionals making higher salaries. Thank you for validating this.

I've been doin contract work in IT and Tech, Since 2020!! It has it's pros and cons but it's better than being unemployed and getting shitty state unemployment benefits! Full-time, permanent would be ideal but contracting can be great if you know how to grind and hustle, and get many contracts without having to be unemployed for weeks or months, at a time! The longest I go without work is 2 or 3 months, since I've been contracting! Before this, I had 20+ years of experience in different areas and industries! I've been in IT/Tech for over 8 years, btw!

As you say, it definitely has it's pros and cons and sounds like more "pros" for you. I imagine the various contract jobs are also keeping your skills current which can be priceless. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I very much appreciate it.
