    When shifting up. I’ve heard you don’t have to use the clutch. Just the throttle. Is this true ?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I always like to suggest using the clutch when shifting up or down, and let off the throttle! This will really save your dirt bikes transmission!

    What is your bike? cool hat !

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I ride a 2014 Ktm 350-sxf! It is fuel injected, so I do not need to worry about the jetting when changing elevations. This helps tremendously when going from the high mountains in Colorado, to the vast low desert of Utah!
      The hat is all about keeping the sun off my ears, and face! The sun can be brutal up here at such a high elevation! I like to be able to show everyone how to keep themselves protected, when of on an adventure! Thank you for your support George!

    Is it possible to accidentally go into neutral instead of 2 gear from 1 gear?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that is a very common thing especially when trying to go through the gears quickly! Ways to avoid this is to not over rev the first gear before shifting into second gear! Also making sure to let the throttle off, use the clutch, and fully pull up on the gear shifter to put the bike all the way into the next gear!
      Let me know if this helps!

    Watched this video too hoping to hear about shifting down going from fast to slow into a turn but only talking about shifting up 😢

  • @telenews7988
    @telenews7988 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Could you get the camera any further? So we could REALLY see the shifter! Why is it such a big deal to show the peg, dude??? Video is for a beginner, right? Why do you assumes a beginner already knows everything? That wouldn't be a beginner, would it?

    • @gocowboys51411
      @gocowboys51411 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When I was a beginner all someone had to do was show me the shifter and tell me to push down or pull up... there's nothing you need to actually see lol. When you need to shift slide ur foot under the shifter and pull up until you feel it click. I think this guy already figures youve seen the shifter on your own bike. If you don't have a bike yet... get one first before you watch beginner videos. Whoever you get the bike from can show you the shifter.😅 I do have a problem with people not explaining shifting down to turn and only focusing on shifting up. That's my problem 😢
