    Thank you for doing this. I'm a beginner dirt bike rider and have very limited skills. I checked out your website and Spring of '23 I will be taking your online courses. Two videos in on TH-cam and all the questions I had regarding shifting and corner were answered clearly and very easily understood.

    What gears should we be in when turning in corners ?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Hat really depends on the corner! If it’s a slow corner you may shift all the way to first or second, and if it’s a sweeping corner you can hold more momentum and probably be in 3rd gear! Does that help?

    I’m thinking of buying a 50cc dirt bike for myself on my 12th birthday. I’m 5,1 37kg or 70-80 pounds. Or should I opp for something bigger like a 65cc or 85cc

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If it’s your first dirt bike, a 110 would also be a great bike to start on. No clutch, just three gears, and they sit a little higher than the 50cc
      It just depends on what style of riding you want to get into! If you are wanting to race, then a 65cc or 85cc would be better for that!

    Just got a yz125 learning how to ride 2 stroke also when downshift i do the same and use the clutch? And when coming to a stop do i put it back in 1st or n in order for my bike not to stall or turn off?

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So when downshifting I like to always suggest using the clutch, and letting the throttle off! Then when coming to a stop, put it in neutral so I can let the clutch out without the dirtbike stalling! Hope this helps!

    any recommendations on what budget dirt bike i can get (also im 6’3 so what size dirt bike should i get that i will fit on)

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats a tough question, for your size I would suggest a 250 four stroke if you want a bike that your rider ability can grow into. They are great bikes to learn on, and as you improve your rider level these bikes will have enough power to grow into.
      Normally you can find an older model around $2000- $3000, but look for people who maybe bought a bike and never really rode it. Maybe they rode it a few times, and never really found a love for the sport. People like this will let dirt bikes go for cheaper just to get space back in their garage.
      Facebook is a great place to find dirt bikes like this!
      Hope this helps!

      I meen tbh my buddy spent like 3k on a ssr 190 and he's 6'3 and it fits him well it depends on your price if you have 5k plus get a 250 but if your under that basically and bike bigger than a 150 should fit you

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can normally find a 250 a little cheaper on facebook from somebody who already got a new dirt bike, or just decided they never rode it enough to keep it! I would suggest a 250 over a 150 just because they have more suspension, and bigger tires making it safe to ride and even learn on!

  • @zeketrippin5870
    @zeketrippin5870 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So what gear should I be in riding on a road or on straight dirt roads(I ride a kx125 2 stroke)

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That depends on how fast you are going! The higher gears will have less torque, and a longer gear range to be able to spend more time in the gear without over revving the motor!
      I would say 3rd gear or higher!

    so when you go to secound gear do you push up two time or oune

    • @RadAdventureDude
      @RadAdventureDude  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Only once from first to second! If your dirt bike has a clutch neutral will normally be located in between these gears by only a half click on the gear shifter!
      So just one full click up on the gear shifter from first to second gear!
