- I really want to do more memory keeping in 2019, and being able to print photos is something that was really important for me in doing that. I researched a lot before I finally decided that the Sprocket was the one I wanted to go with so I thought I'd give you my thoughts to help you if you were looking to buy one too!

You can turn off the reveal content in the app settings. Print quality actually improves a lot with that feature turned off, I've tested it out myself so if you really don't use or need that reveal mode, it's more beneficial to turn it off. Great review btw!

*Loving my **Bestt.Digital** portable Printer. Small enough to carry in my little bag and not at all heavy. Getting a lot of use out of it and having a great time printing on the go. Works for me.*

Me....I have a Fuji film but I want to be able to not have to have the cam on me all the time
I just got mine at target for $38 ! It comes out a lot more pink tone than I’d like but I think it’s super fun! I was contemplating Polaroid or this and I’m glad I got the sprocket

@@TheSabeach the HP Sprocket is better. Although the instax or Polaroid ones are super cute, sometimes they print out black. Also, the hp one has better quality photos and you don’t need the camera on you at all times. 🙂
Thanks for the review Ashleigh! I have the first edition Sprocket and I really like it. The photo quality is meh but the convenience of it and being able to print and stick photos into my journal easily make the printer a winner in my books.
Here's a tip for you: Don't throw away all of those blue papers that come with the ZINK papers. Keep at least one because you can also use Canon ZINK papers with the Sprocket. All you need to do is replace the Canon blue paper with the HP one and it works exactly the same. Canon ZINK papers are sometimes cheaper than HP's (I bought a stack of 50-packs from Aldi for $19 each). Have fun! - Christine (Closet Planner Addict)
What a fantastic tip.. thanks so much Christine! I just bought a new pack, but I'll keep the blue bits and keep an eye out for cheap papers!! :D I wish I could draw as well as you so I didn't have to use the photos.. they are so inspiring!
I don't really understand what the blue paper is for 😕 do you have to put it in if you print a few days in between or just once for 1 pack of photos? And why do you have to keep them when changing brand of photo papers?
@@jolienhellebuyck9840 It scans it, which helps the printer calibrate, like when you change inks in your desktop printer and it prints and scans a test sheet. Theoretically, you shouldn’t be able to use other brands’ paper because the calibration marks are different, so that’s where fudging it with your HP blue sheet comes in. Some people get slightly different results or print quality by using different paper with different printers, but always use the blue sheet that matches the printer brand.
$20 for the small ass papers is a ripoff

If you want to turn off the Reveal option, it is found under Sprocket, then App Settings. Toggle off the Enable Reveal option. I have mine on since I planned on using it for memory planning.
Aha! I've done it! I might need to play a bit more with that feature though!

Sometimes if you increase the contrast edit it actually makes the colors appear brighter. Try that in one and see if it helps. Definitely thanks for the review. I was on the fence because of rotten reviews but it’s in my cart now!

The review content is if you hold your phone over the photo it reads an invisible icon which then shows you the other photos taken on that date 😊 I loved your review and learnt a new trick or two lol I love my sprocket it was the best Christmas present 😍

Usually takes just over an hour for me.. never too long. Best thing of all is that you can use it while you charge it!

I bought a kodak mini printer and my pictures started coming out pink, so I bought a Sprocket. Same problem. Come back and do an update after using it for awhile. I think there are serious issues with the thermal paper and would love to find a fix. Once in awhile i get a good picture but most have the pinkish tint and some even have lines through them,
hey just finished watching. I can’t seem to print idk why, cuz whenever I press ‘print’ it goes into the section ‘app queue’ but never loads to the ‘printer queue’ please help meee
Hi. I'm so sorry it took me so long to answer. Try deleting and re-installing the app as it sounds like that is the problem.
Plum_Mashable this is happening to me and I got the app again it does everything right but it will not print on the app it says its printing but it’s not

I love my sprocket! It just allows for a lot more personalisation in my planner.
I love this because it’s like a instax mini that is perfect for travel and my dad got my sister this one 2 years ago on Christmas and she says she doesn’t know how to use it even though there’s literally instructions that say to download the app. My dad that same year got me a instax mini 9, and I still use it to this day
I love mini printers.. they are just awesome to have!
Hi There, mine is lasting 10 pictures before bettery died... How much can you PRINT pictures before the sprocket turn off please ?
I'll have to try that Grafix because I never print off that many at a time. I usually have to charge before I switch the papers though, so I would say I can only print 5-6 per charge.

Have one and love it lends a whole new way of keepsake memories in a journal 😘 10 year old granddaughter journals with one of these in a wonderful way with her kk.k journal /planner from Xmas so clever and just a few words next to pick says it all 😀
You can also use any of the other brand picks that are the same size just load the blue paper in the bottom to reformat the diff brands
It's just such a simple way to get those precious memories off your phone!

The review content shows a virtual queue of the printing process when I think when you hover your phone above the sprocket . and I might be wrong about the reveal content thing but I’m guessing that’s what it is :))))
There are a lot of features you wouldn’t expect like you can print a photo from a video and when you scan that photo with the app, you can see the video on your phone . If your friends have the app and you give them the printed photo they can see the video or virtual effects too! this just comes from watching a couple sprocket reviews, they are rlly informative , hope this helps ash

As far as I am aware, yes. Just be careful of the sprocket plus as that uses different paper. Hope that helps!
HP updates you out of your device you are using. I have one the pics are okay but I got a new phone and the new OS doesn’t support it, and my old devices that can’t be updated won’t support it now either so I have a paperweight!
Oh no! What phone do you have? Could you not use from an older device?
Plum_Mashable Hot iPhone 11 from a 6 but if you update the didn’t make anything backwards compatible. Never trust HP lol my cousin works there haha

It uses crystals instead of ink in the photos paper and when it is heated the crystals change colour

vicki jen its called zink.(zero ink). It has technology which uses heat to print colors onto the paper

Hi Zhara. I think there is a shortage on them at the moment just due to COVID, but you should be able to grab them from most electronic stores, or amazon. Just search for Sprocket 200. All the best x

You don't need ink because it's already inside the paper :)
Thanks David for answering. As he said, the ink is inside the paper so no need to buy it. You do need to replace the papers when you've used them all though, and they are reasonably priced at about $12 for 20 prints.
Omg! I have a pen pal from a different state and we often send eachother photos of our adventures, but they are so expensive to print at kmart and big w and I often find them too big, so I'm actually really wanting to get one of these now, thanks!
Keep an eye out at electrical stores.. they come on sale reasonably often!

Hi, just wondering if you can shed some light on an issue I’m having. I can turn it on, I can print, but once I’ve printed my first photo I can’t print another.. it goes into an ‘app queue’ and never prints. I actually reset it and was able to print again, but the same issue, only did one. Do you have to wait a bit in between prints?
I've never had that issue TheTherase. Try resetting your Sprocket, I always find that if nothing else works that's my fail safe. Its under the lid. I hope that helps.. let me know if you have no luck!

How has this worked out for you? I purchased one of the earlier versions of the sprocket. It worked well in the beginning but started to print all the images with lines, contemplating whether to give it another try with this version.
I like it, but not love it. It just depends a lot on what you want to use it for. If you can accept the not quite perfect prints you'll be fine.

Hello, are you still enjoying the product? I had the sprocket 2-in-1 camera and it went bad after maybe 400 prints total. Tried calling support and they told me it's beyond repair. I bought this because I need the prints for my business and I was hoping the extra price would last longer.
Hi skilletgirl. I am still enjoying it, but I don't think I'm using it as much as you are. If you are using it for a business would it be easier to print on a normal size printer and cut them down? My sprocket prints really red
Try playing with the settings in the app before you print it. Turn the warmth down and that might help less red. Good luck!
I can’t connect mine to my phone! I have the exact one you have and it takes me to the 3 steps to connect it and it says to choose an accessory and there’s nothing to choose from. I have it turned on and connected to Bluetooth on my phone.. idk what to do

Kailee Files hey! I fixed it! I realized I selected the wrong printer.. I selected sprocket when it’s really sprocket 200! after that it connected! :) make sure you select the right printer! hope that helps

I just have a question, can i bought a Non-sticky paper sheet and use it with this printer? If I don’t want to have that sticky-back paper and i want it to be harder.. is it possible? And if it is, may you please give me a shop/store that can help me to buy a slight harder, non sticking paper (Matte slightly hard paper) that can actually print on this HP printer? Hi there. I don't think so because the paper actually includes the ink transfer. I think the best thing to do would to be just not take off the release paper on the back.. then it stays not sticky. Hope that helps - and sorry my reply took so long!

go on the app and start connecting it to your printer then it will ask you to picks a color . sorry if this doesn’t help
Hey Nicole. There could be something wrong with your papers. I've had a dud lot before. I'd suggest grabbing another pack and trying them.

Hi I just bought my sprocket, it's the exactsame one in the video. I was just wondering how long it took to charge when you first opened it. Iv been charging it for a few hours now and the charging light is still blinking red...
Hmmm.. Mine didn't come charged but it only took an hour or so. Can you use it while it's plugged in? Just to try and get it going? You should be able to see the power levels in the app too so try and connect them to get the info. Let me know if you need more help x :)

For some reason mine are printing out blank, I know you probably won’t reply but I don’t know why this is happening and I can’t find an answer haha :,)
Hi Bananafana. Sorry for the delay here. Try re-setting the sprocket by putting a pin in the small reset button on the back under the cover and try printing again. Sometimes a hard re-set is helpful. Hope that helps!

It is the 2nd edition, and I'm still loving it. I really want to have a go at using it more.. need to get over the thought that I am wasting the photos. lol

What photo editor are you using just the sproket one?
Mostly yes.I do a bit of tweaking in an app called Snapseed. Its free and can do so much!
My sprocket is just not turning on..no matter how hard I press that button
Try resetting it. Depending on what model sprocket you have, it can be found either on the back or under the cover. Let us know how you go!
I had the same problem, I couldn't even get it to charge. I got it for my birthday but I had to send it back.

At around 1 minute in, you said you would show us how to replace the ink. I thought these things don’t use ink.. did you mean to say change the paper?

Hey Fatty Patty, try charging the sprocket up to 100% first. I had some issues with that at the beginning.
Hey I just got one have you found any way to fix the color I love it but just the colors come out weird sometimes 😩
I use the Sprocket app to try and adjust the colours before I print. Give a few different settings a go (brightness, contrast and saturation are in the app) and see if that helps. If you need to take it to another level, try an app called Snapseed
i have a question and i'd really appreciate if you asnwer. Are they getting dark as time passes or the colors stay as they are from the first time they got printed? Thanks in advance

Very similar to a cardboard, yes. Nice and sturdy. The backing is removable too so it can be a sticker!

I'm pretty sure it will work with any smart phone Marilyn. There is definitely an Android app too. Hope that helps!

Try re-setting it. There is a small button on the back that you might need a paperclip to push, but its there.
Does the printer print normal pictures or (stickers)
Hello. It only prints on a sticker, but you can choose not to take the release paper off and just use it as a normal print if you like. I hope that helps :)
Does it print it like you print the photos at the store or as paper?
It prints smaller than normal ones from the shops, but comes on sticky paper, so so easy to put into your planner

Try re-setting it.. there is a button on the inside of the cover.
Should I remove the blue paper?
The blue paper should spit itself out at the start. Hope that helps x

Pearl Roxas yes the print quality of my photo improved after I turned it off, I guess because the printer doesn’t have to add the extra stuff to make it do the reveal

Absolutely! I use it to add photos to projects.. mainly memorydex cards, but can use them in my planner too!
I’ve had mine for a year now and it won’t charge any tips??
Try re-setting it.. there's a tiny hole in the back that you just might need a pin or paperclip to push in.. but that might help.
Is it only for the iPhone? Or android as well?

You can. Try an app called PicStitch!
Does the print disappear after some days?!
I've never had a problem with that. I have some prints that I printed over 2 years ago that still look awesome! I think if you keep them out of direct sunlight, you'll be fine.

The photo color quality sucks, but it suits my needs just fine. I'm going to use it for journaling. I don't mind the quality for what I'm using it for.

Has any body found cheaper paper to buy for this, I’m already out of the paper they give u but don’t wanna spend 12 dollars for 10 pieces so if you know of any let me know!
The paper can be a bit exxy.. if you can buy in bulk you do better. The best I've found is at JB HI Fi.. you get 50 papers for $39. Still 78c a print, but not as bad as $12 for 10!

Full size is 3 inches x 2 inches - or 7.6cm x 5cm. Hope that helps!
How often do we have to refill it
You get 10 pictures in a pack, so it would depend how much you printed. You can get packs of 50 though for less than $30.
where does the ink come from?x
The ink is built into the blank photos and processes in the printer. It's a modern take on a polaroid.

so wierd, i couldnt turn my pink sprocket on .... yelpp
Try attaching it to power and then turning it on. I have found sometimes it needs almost a re-set even though the battery is full!

Zink means Zero Ink, stop saying changing the ink :P you're changing the paper.
