Bravo!!!! The collection of cars...the remarkable photography...the editorial content...Best 1/2 hour of time spent on youtube in forever!!! Thanks to you all!
You picked the right one. The Bentley to ride in, the Aston to be seen in, but the McClaren to drive. I still miss having a manual option, but it may be best to have both hands on the wheel at speed.
i might say, this one qualifies to be among the epic ride videos.. man the AM DB11 looks gorgeous.. The Bentley is the old war horse doing things the way it has to..the MC 570.. well , for all those who loves to be right behind the wheels. Thank you.
You can't beat Scotland for wonderful roads! Back in about September 1979 I drove my full restored 1969 Lotus Elan, with the company of my faithful Bearded Collie, from Broughty Ferry Dundee to Fort William to Inverness and home In a time that you probably wouldn't believe! Fortunately the nice gentlemen in blue were nowhere to be seen, and there was very little traffic to contend with. I think it was around 480 miles, a nice Sunday afternoon outing!
lapamful The F Type is a 911 competitor and starts at about $70,000. No one making enough money to buy these cars would consider cross shopping a plebeian F Type. Okay, the McLaren 570 GT is the technology champion. But...it certainly didn't score at all with a high-class date, despite her getting a thrill or two on the way to the yacht. Because of winter weather where I have lived, I always go for full-time all-wheel drive. Heavier weight and somewhat higher ground clearance is also a good thing for traction. The clearance really helps in parking spaces with curbs and on poor pavement. Beyond that, the photography, production values and script on this episode are OUTSTANDING! You British folk really get motor programming right.
Alot of us came here thinking it had the ex Top Gear crew and swiftly clicked off. I must be the only one left because reading the comments I had to see that cunt not close her door...Other than that these guys are just another 3 dudes trying to be the trio.
Super photography/video, lovely scenery, location and atmosphere, fantastic cars, agreed with the verdict. Only things I had problems with were some of the audio, which I had to replay a few times before I understood what was being said - Maqua Blacktop? Oh, a MacBook laptop - and although the chap singing the praises of the Bentley from behind the wheel had the clearest diction, I just couldn't get past his parka! And the snobby Riches were a bit off-putting too, and made me nostalgic for The Comic Strip Presents.
nazim shawon well it is the only supercar there. personally I would go db11 then 570gt, and finally continental GT w12. The 570gt is my favourite of the current McLaren line up though, that and the Lt spyder and mso. why am I saying this lol
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant - the new benchmark of automotive video journalism! This genre has been populated by the most attractive vehicles ruined by the inappropriateness of the driver journalist in any of a variety of categories not excluding haircut, hooligan driving style and some haptic disease causing relentless banging on the sheetmetal of a handcrafted 100k automobile. You obviously went over the top but you didn´t stop halfway: `Since we had a bank in our radar let´s make it the bank of England.` Well done!
Hi Peanuts2105, Thanks for your comment, it great to hear you like the production quality of our content. Auto Trader is a publicly traded company. We are not backed by DMG Media. We have a small in-house team ( working along side specific freelancers) who create all the editorial video content for this channel.
Even the comments in this video point to the Bentley being 'old', I still think it's the best I would want to arrive in. Or more importantly, drive myself in!! Of the ultra-luxury cars out there, I would want to DRIVE a Bentley Continental GT somewhere.
When I start watching this vid, I can't help mouthwatering heavily...and wonder why we frenchies do not have the begining of a trace of such road jewels in our productions. When intergalactic style, vee-twelves (when not even double-u-twelves) and stratospheric performance are the required minimum, you still have a kinda large choice made in UK . This has got to be the only reason I'd like to be an englishman (dirty frenchman's humour).
Great quality video, everything fabulous about this video. The Aston would be my choice among these three, the United Kingdom is such a beautiful country. Great job fellas and keep up the good work.
Nailed it again, another epic test & car review... I enjoy the video so much - the places, roads, your views about the cars, and the Hot Mom of course, which is way cooler than her frigid boring daughter - it's all there... Great Video, though the conclusion I still put my money on the DB11 it's an experience watching the video nevertheless... Great work guys, keep it up, I hope someday you'll make a video about the best GT car of the world, not just Britain...👍👍👍
I think the best is the DB11 because I personally think that it has the quintessential recipe for a GT car. Big engine in the front, rear wheel drive, beautiful yet elegant looks(nothing too flashy and look at me) and insanely fast for any road. The McLarren is the best technically but if you buy a mid engine supercar you aren't going to buy the soft GTish one but a hardcore, raw one.
What a fantastic video, who needs to drive on the continent to show off superb British Cars.... I agree with your choice and getting to your destination.... Well I have to experience that one for myself.... Fantastic.
if my only complaint about this vid was the lack to 'polish' to the Bentley driver's attire (what was that chavvy-esque parka all about? :) ) then it says a lot about the quality of it. Great production & very good reviewers all coming together so well. This vid had a really depth to it. Easily betters that TV stuff... . Good job!
LOVE THE ASTON MARTIN, ITS NAME, LOOK, AND THE GROWLING OF THE EXHAUST, WOOWWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW ! NEXT ONE IS THE BENTLEY CONTINENTAL. BRILLIANT LOOKING CAR. I ALWAYS STOP WHEN I SEE ONE ON THE ROAD. WOWOWOWOWWOW ! MCLAREN, ITS BEAUTIFUL, ITS A BEAST, NOT FOR MY AGE. NICE VIDEO. AWESOME.
Awesome. First time I have seen Auto Trader video. Very impressive. I have subscribed. As for the cars, can i have all three please/ (But at least one must be in British racing green.)
Wow what a great video. Amazing production quality and the vip part reminded me of top gear. I agree the 570gt is like no other gt when it comes to the drive and rightly deserved the win.
Beautiful cars, wonderful presentation, extremely knowledgeable dudes who knows more about those vehicles than I do. There seems to be something special about that McLaren though I’ve never driven one I will agree with the results. McLaren it is 😊
I would definitely get the Aston Martin. It's both worlds of sport ( McLaren 570S and luxury ( Bentley Continental GT ) so it all makes sense for my reason. I feel this car is the most beautiful car of all the other 2.
I'd go for none of them. I agree completely about the McLaren and the Bentley, but for me the DB11 isn't much of a looker. I prefer the look of the Vantage, Vanquish and DBS
IMO, if you're 50 plus and play a little golf in the weekends, you'll go for the Bentley. If you're 40 plus and play squash you'll probably go for the DB11, and if you're 40 plus and play anything actively early in the morning, probably the 570GT. I'm not in that market, I just put down my deposit on a Jaguar i-Pace to be delivered late in 2018. That speaks to what all these cars are missing; they're at the end of an era, not at the start of a new era.

I would have gone Bentley DB11 570S 1. Bentley is probably the ultimate GT tourer that can be used as a daily, 2. The Bentley would just eat up the miles so easy and effortlessly it would leave the other 2 eating its dust. It also has the luggage space for a proper GT. DB11 would handle the Miles but its luggage space is borderline useful, limiting what one can take with you especially if there is 2 of you. 570s is a good sports car/daily driver BUT as a GT tourer its let down by the lack of luggage space. These cars are all aimed at different age of drivers too, 570S is aimed at the mid 20's to mid 30's DB11 is aimed at the early 30's to early 40's Bentley is aimed at the late 30's to early/mid 60's, which will also put them into competition with some RR models, rather then just Aston Martin & McLaren.
Superb production, for me I would have to go with the Bentley...I dont like the plastic on the new Astons and would not consider the McLaren to be a true GT car

Were is Jaguar, Auto Trader? How could you leave them out of this British competetion!?!?!

Jaguar has no cars in this segment

Jaguar are more of a pure sports car as in the F-type. It is not a luxury GT car. The McLaren is out of place in this as well.
