The EBR2c reticle is great for precision shooting as it doesn't obscure the pin point center allowing you to really "drill down" into the target.
I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well. With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings. For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance. For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.
This is going on a Bergara b14 ridge and before it's even mounted, I'm impressed. We shall see how it goes!
You didn't mention the opening at the intersection of the cross hairs....a Huge factor for a perfecting your Point of Aim at full magnification.
Very true!
The Swampfox Patriot is an improved version of this Diamondback Tactical and cheaper too.
Yes. This.
The reticle. The numbers on the DB are directly next to the vertical line. Hate that when you gotta hold .2 and the number IS the reference point. With the SF, the numbers are on the end of the horizontal line.
Line up a perfect edge with a photo of the ebrc2. The dots don't line up right until you get to a half mil. Terrible for rimfire.
Is there a rotation marking on the post of the turrets so you know what rotation you are on ? Does the dial just spin around with out moving up and down ?
Great video nice and clear. How would this go on a 7mm Rem Mag?
Cheers
I think it would handle it ok but I’d spend a little more to get something that’s going to 100% hold zero
Have had the 6-24 version for a while now on a CZ 457 great scope for the money. Just fitted the new Vortex Venom to my Bergara B14R 22lr its a good scope as well.
Nice match with the Bergara. Yeah they are good value for money
Asif you’d put that on a 22
@@BenDover-oc7vlwhy wouldn’t they? That’s exactly why I’m here, reviewing this scope is for a 22. I don’t shoot in competitions but many people do and many of their 22 scopes are even nicer than my big game center fire rifle scopes.
@BenDover-oc7vl we got another Barska marketer.
I noticed your using the mdt rings are these better than the 3 screw votrex rings?
I have both types on different rifles and the MDT set are a little more expensive that the Vortex set and feel a bit better quality
does it have turret zero stop feature?
I want one to go on my Diamondback DB-10 in 6.5 creedmoor, just wish it had IR, I'll probably step up to a Viper. Thanks for your content.
Check out athlon helos 2-12. It has better glass locking turrets and IR. I have several athlon scopes and never been disappointed and prob the most scope for the money out there
Wondering if you are familiar and have an opinion on these on piece rings from vortex, for an AR 15
Vortex Optics Sport Cantilever Riflescope Mounts
how does it track?
No issues with mine!
3-9x40 vortex tactical is onsale on optics planet right now for $159
Good deal!
i just got the 6x24x50 for my weatherby vangaurd meat eater in 300 WM...
Good combo!
@@precisionrifle1 thanks
The cross hairs are very difficult to see. Any suggestions??
It’s not really going to get easier, if it’s difficult to see you may need an illuminated reticle if you are shooting in low light
did you adjust your focus on the eye of the scope? not sure your experience, but a lot of newer people don't know to do that...it focuses the reticle to your eye...do it against a white surface, blink and see if its clear right away, if not, adjust and repeat...you want to adjust it to be clear to a freshly opened eye vs letting your eye strain to focus it in...hope that helps.
Crosshair illuminator that attached to the eyepiece not sure if anyone still sells them.
Focus it
Did it come with a sunshade
They come with a sunshade.
Mine did
23 oz is not light by any means. My Vortex diamondback 4-12x40 is only 14.5 oz; now that's light (different class of scope, I know).
Nice review, I recently got the 4-16 version for a great deal ($323 after tax). I’m trying to get into some precision shooting on a budget so it seemed like a good option. Do you recommend a particular brand of scope mount that offers a similar value in terms of price to quality? Thx in advance!
I have used a huge range of different scope rings and found that the quality of the rings should depend on the caliber you are shooting. If you are using a .22 the rings won’t be under a lot of stress. If you are using a larger caliber such as .308 your rings are going to get a workout. I have also used Vortex rings and found them to be a good middle ground
@@precisionrifle1 that’s a good point, had not really thought of it that way. 6.5 creed or is what I’m intending to use it on if that brings anything in particular to mind. I’ll take a look at vortex mounts. I’ve liked my Aero precision ultralight mount, but probably doesn’t take much abuse all in all.
I got this 4-16x44 FFP on my Ruger SFAR 16' semi-auto in 308Win. Haven't shot it yet.
I love mine
Nice review 👌
Spread those rings out further.
I use to love vortex but I’ve switched to athlon. Biggest bang for the buck
dang $400
Swampfox Patriot is the same Chinese scope with improvements and cheaper.
Get a torch!
Might help with shooting at night!
Paid for by vortex....
Could I put this on my Tikka 300 WinMag?
I had it on a 308 no problems but for .300WM I would probly get something a little more solid
