NBA Hangtime Triple dunk and win by 100?

- JKatz ("joker", creepy Clown) and I ("Frankencow", green alien) with another strong effort. We start the game off in style with the difficult triple drunk. After a slow second quarter, we pick up the pace. Can we win by 100 again?
No cheat codes used. We press the joystick down and then make a circle, which does two things: Big head, and displays shot% after a shot is released. Neither has any effect on game play.
Goaltending is not used. In the event of an accidental goaltending, we don't use it to our advantage. Why? Because winning by 100 would not be difficult at all if we just goaltended opponents shots out of the air while on fire, or if we used goaltending to get on fire or team fire.
Tournament switch is on. Difficulty is on max (10 bars). Clock is on default (5 bars). - เกม

The most unrealistic thing about this game is that Mourning made a 3 pointer.

How in the high-flying holy hell did Midway manage to make a cheating 4 man dunk fest so much damn fun is years beyond me.
I remember getting this and never putting NBA Jam back in the system again.
I got the NBA JAM arcade 1up cabinet and all I play is Hang Time.

Or beating my own player by having someone load up my custom player and get beaten by me while we both used the character. Counted as a win and a loss simultaneously. I ruined my own record by beating myself. 😣🤣
Played this game A TON of times and it never got old, but in all the times I played this game I NEVER got team fire
With a CPU teammate it can be a bit tricky, but it's pretty easy when you have another human player on your team. The CPU likes to "raise up" alot at the beginning of quarters but then stop and only do it sporadically. Then you have to rely on being able to raise up before your teammate either scores or gets stripped/pushed (plus hope he actually passes the ball to you.)
Haha.. yo this was totally my childhood.. for some reason didn't buy this game for the longest time we had to rent it like every single weekend but we did it religiously. haha. Whatever.....I was always scottie pippen... haha good times man

I remember this game. Literally the worst basketball game in history with cheap AI.
Try playing the arcade version in MAME. It's a billion times harder than N64.
It really is harder. I've had perfectly clear shots brick for no good reason on the arcade. Sometimes I think that version's CPU Assistance can tilt towards the computer's team even if you're not ahead. After a 10-point win with the 76ers over the Heat, the next game vs. the Cavaliers was tough- I still won, but only by a single point. There it seemed like my shot accuracy was nerfed a bit, & it was definitely harder to steal. Was there a Cleveland fan on Midway's team? Just wondering. Anyway, after that I had a 13-point blowout over the Pistons.
Yeah, the AI is incredibly unfair, but you can still slaughter it if you know what you’re doing. Nonetheless, I still love this more than any other sports game
