It is a pleasure to have this space to introduce you to Joy Long. Joy is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), holistic psychotherapist and it’s her intention to create a liberating, healing space where people can learn how to find their authentic self, inner resources and step into their purpose.
Joy found her calling in this work during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The agony, grief and rage she felt as she witnessed the suffering of Black/Brown bodied people and “poor people” compelled her to pursue a path to facilitate trauma healing in others. The principles that guide Joys work as a holistic psychotherapist are love, liberation and joy. Joy is passionate about supporting individuals and communities in building the capacity to transform stress and trauma into infinite power and possibility.

Wow! This was so good! It’s so important for everyone to learn their attachment style from childhood trauma and just life in general! Whatever isn’t healed is passed on to other people ANDDD passed down to your children as well. I encourage all to do the work and start the healing process! Wonderful Job ! Keep moving forward! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🫶🏽
