biggest difference from POE - respec is very inexpensive here, for both skills and devotions (aether crystals are all over the place - make some dynamite from them also, why not). also as you have shown, you can rotate camera - whoa! and lob grenades and some such from ridiculous height onto mobs below - that is cool subbed
I have a Purifier I started years ago and finished all the main level areas with him as my first character build. once I got to elite and Warden Kreig. I ran into your issue and it taking forever to kill him. That was on my own. I did the run-through originally with a group, so I had no idea how it would have done on its own to start off. Then I went back and looked at his deaths......Yikes.
@Paikis I didn't mean that to come across as sarcasm! 😀 I was honestly waiting eagerly to see what pistols you crafted. It was a major cliffhanger. Looking forward to the next episode, man. 👍
The above applies if you're starting as Inquisitor. For Demolitionist, I'd max Fire Strike, Vindictive Flame and probably Explosive Strike. Then go 1 point Flame Touched and 1 point Temper. Then get Shambler's Heart and Incendiary Casque.
The level 18 version of the Shambler's Heart gives bonus fire and percent OA to Flame Touched. Do you think it is worth backtracking to him to get it? Also a significant boost in elemental resistances by base, and might get some better affixes, now that it is a guaranteed drop. Also, do you think it might've been worth to toss on the ice damage proc augment onto a weapon, just to have something that isn't fire damage to swap to for the Emberguards and other highly fire resistant targets in A1? Seems counterintuitive since the ember gives bonus percent fire damage, but is that really all that much bonus for act one numbers? Just a random thought. Might have to try it out in my run and see if it works out better for me.
It's probably worth going back for it yes. With bosses dropping their MIs every time now you'd only have to kill him once to get one. Also, yes it's worth having a second damage type via component... but only slightly. Even with the chilled steel you're going to run out of energy before you kill the bigger things, but it should help at the very least.
I'm new to your channel and i unfortunately died at Krieg at around 5% on second phase :( One thing i noticed while fighting him at the end was that my dual pistol shot was SLOWING DOWN while mashing the button. I had a great cadence going but for some reason i would only shoot one bullet what feel like once a second.. there was definitely something going on there which caused my death... Any thoughts?
I've noticed that your gear shows different colours based on stat type, is that a part of the 1.2 update, or is it some kind of mod? And if it's a mod, which one?
my way of dealing with Rotting Emberguards is through Song of Fire and Ice... if you know what I mean 😂😂 tl;dr: I'm using both Chilled Steel and Searing Ember Component's skills to have easier time dealing with these highly resistant monsters
Yeah, that's not a bad idea. I ended up using the lightning nova as well, but it's still quite slow and burns your energy. Its an option though for sure.
Guidance for the Conflagration: Don't go there. If you're having issues with it, just skip it and come back later. I assure you however that the build should have no issues with the Conflagration. Rather, I would say the issue is that you're standing in aetherfire.
@@Paikis Let me clarify I was stuck at the Boss at the conflagration, and I did skip it at the time and have not yet been back. The build actually seems a bit better able to stay alive now than when it was in the 20s and 30s, I am level 44 now and still only have one pistol and no craftable pistols available still. To clarify about no guidance: This is my 1st play with GD, so you using abbreviations and statements that a veteran GD player would understand makes it less noob friendly. I had to constantly look up what you were talking about, and still have many questions with nowhere to find answers but here. This is my 1st play of GD so abbreviations were challenging for me. I still have no clue what you mean by: " At 37, you’ll need to use the vendor reset trick to get the recipe for the Hand Mortar from Benevald. Then again at 62, same trick, same merchant for the Shrapnel Pistol, which is the best targetable fire pistol all the way to 100". The only result I could find about vendor tricks was to get the vendor to refresh their inventory, I'm not sure what that would have to do with the build. I have not even encountered Benevald yet so that's that. I'm still trying this so hanging in there for now.
That's fair. The vendor trick I was talking about was indeed to reset their inventory. Benevald is a "hidden" merchant in the Blood Grove. You can reset his inventory to get the recipe to craft your pistols at level 37 and 62, thne you have to craft the pistols at a blacksmith. (Fire) Pistols aren't very well supported for levelling.
You realize you could have saved a ton of time if you just made a character with the name "BestWay" right from the start? Also, it's so weird seeing you skip all those aether crystals.

Welcome to the party!

Noooo. Cant believe you didn't do the crafting at the end! 😂 Enjoying the series though
You joke, but a lot of people have said they enjoy the crafting part :P
It's covered in the next episode. Kind of.
@Paikis I didn't mean that to come across as sarcasm! 😀 I was honestly waiting eagerly to see what pistols you crafted. It was a major cliffhanger. Looking forward to the next episode, man. 👍
If you want to level as a gunslinger, you must max out Bursting Round first.

Purifier Stress Testing...I like it. Next up, leveling with Panetti's
Panetti's Leveling Missile? Why do you hate me?

I answered my own question, he applies a 50% speed reduction... super anoying!

It's from the Rainbow Filter mod. You can find it on the Crate forums.
I can't get over the fact that you just casually shrugged off near-death situation in 50:19 as if nothing happened.
The only HP that counts is the last one. If you've got more than 1HP left, you're good to go!
honestly i'd say this is much better, dual pistols can wait
It'll be pistols from here on out and if it sucks then it sucks. It should be fine though, just those first few levels that are painful... I hope :)
@@Paikis that's not been the case forl me

This build gets stuck at the conflagration. Without any guidance on what to do this has been frustrating at the very least. Not a good build for noobs

But I didn't know which one was the Bestway! And yes, I will have to go farm some aether crystals.
