Hi Paikis, I really really appreciate you. I’m trying to get back into Grim Dawn after a multi-year hiatus, having informative, entertaining, and slow paced videos like this are just so incredible for beginners like myself.
I just recently figured out how to use the "Drop Item" keybind. It drops the item that's held on your mouse cursor. You can use it to drop items from your inventory without having to drag them all the way outside the inventory window.
I kind of want to see you use the Nemesis Warrants to have nemesis spawns much earlier during your playthrough. I enjoy the jump scare of a nemesis spawn when I'm not prepared and I just think that would be very fun to watch. But you play how you like to and that's part of why I enjoy watching.
i think you have an amazing voice, i have been following your contents and not gonna lie your commentating is hand down the best i have seen, i do hope u keep making content for this game and any other games, tnx, any chance you start streaming on twitch? i would definitely follow

A quick google search found a potential solution in turning anti-aliasing off. I have no idea if that works, but I also don't notice flickering, so maybe I'm used to it?
I love your character build Playlists and have learned a lot watching them. Just wondering if you had to choose one class/build as your favorite, which is it, and do you have a Playlist for it. Best doesn't mean the absolutely most powerful (unless it does) :)
Favourite is the Trickster I made that converts Primal Strike to cold. I have a video on it but it's just a build guide and not a series. Favourite character that has a series is probably the Aether pet ritualist or the forcewave deathknight.
When u put scavenger plating on your belt u get exactly 15 armor. They changed it in patch earlier that armor component on belt don't applies to other armor pieces?
DPS stat on the character screen is a guide, but it's not 100% accurate. For caster weapons it's usually going to come down to which weapon combo gives you the most bonuses.
I actually have no idea if 1,000 DPS is good or horrible. The issue has never been DPS with those skills though... it's AoE. I don't want to have to hit things 1 at a time. That's the thing that makes Forcewave, Primal Strike, BWC etc really good levelling skills; the ability to kill many small things at once and still do OK damage on single target with 1 skill.

Nah. My boss left, and the reward for being good at your job is now you get to do other people's job. Just finished up my 13th 12+ hours day, 7 of which were doing 2 people's jobs. I'm buggered, but I got it done and now I get a weekend. Also money, tax man is going to love me.

as an AAR enjoyer I have to ask how do you feel about the MI changes? I really feel like leveling with Arcanist just became much much easier and the skill might be very strong again, what are your thoughts? also I'm happy to see EoR build coming around
What MI change in particular? The +1% ADCtH on Pulsing Shard, or was there something else? AAR has been ervy strong for ages, so buffs to it will make it better IMO.
Tbh ever since 1.2 dropped AAR felt lackluster to me. There is a Codex that converts Lightning to Aether (now at 100% rate instead of 30%) and Scepter that converts Fire to Lightning at 100%. And I feel like both items just made a massive improvements for the skill
Fair enough, I didn't really play it a whole bunch prior to 1.2. I've also only done Chaos conversion, never actually done a different colour, not even the green version. I probably should do it at some point. It certainly has a lot of options.
It works the same at short range as it does at long and close range lets the enemies bunch up more, so the splash hits more of them. It's not really a big issue.
Have to disagree that judgment is bad, especially as an early levelling skill. Being able to yank all the trash mobs off their feet and damage them at the same time and pull them into you, is really fast and effective. It's especially good if you are running an aura that the trash gets dragged into. Also great if you have a high damage spell with AoE that can nuke all the enemies who are pulled into you.
None of Oathkeeper's skills are bad. The mastery is very good in general. It's just a crap starting mastery. You can take your second mastery at level 10 (28 points), so if I have to sink 5 levels (more than half, 15 points) worth of skill points into a mastery bar to take the "early levelling skill", then it's a bad early levelling skill because there are skills that are just as good or better that are available with 1 point in the mastery bar of my second class. Skill respecs are easy and cheap at low levels. I try to play the build as it's going to end up when I'm recording, but this would have been *much* better levelling with Primal Strike until 30 or so. I did recently level a Primal Striker though, so didn't want to do it twice.
I wanted to do both perma-Devils and also EoR, so this seemed like a good option. Shieldbreaker is probably more powerful, but we'll see how this goes. Should be pretty good.
@@Paikis Even 10% less damage than minmaxed Shieldbreaker is more than enough for everything, I even doubt that the difference is that big. I mainly wanted to be an Archon because Cyclone set is tailored to Archon.

This build is one near and dear to my heart as one I have started about 10 times but never managed to get to the end build for.
I had a few builds like that too. They've all been completed now though. Just make a youtube channel and you'll find it easier to finish things 😉

It looks like the flickering is only on light sources in the town. I don't get it from other sources. Weird.

The displayed armour amount is an average over all your slots. If you add 15 7 times and then divide by 7 pieces, it increases by 15.
Why is there no staves In the game ?

And ur dps on the character info screen is that somthing to go off of.. and is 2 handers usually better for spells damage then a wand n off hand ?

Played a lightning EoR Templar and got it to 240k dps on the counter. Not bad.

Regarding leveling, maxing Fervor and Safeguard should get you about 1000 DPS by level 10. Same with Savagery and Brute Force.
