    I bought a dw 708 . 12 inch saw about 15 years ago . Used but in ave condition . Cleaned it up and spent an hour calibrating it . It cuts abs spot on in both planes . Best £120 I’ve ever spent .

      My Dewalt mitre saw did very well over the years and I still have it now as a back up under the bench

      @@TomMagicWoodworking question, now that you had this saw for a few would you still recommend it? What are the Pros and Cons? Is this saw as accurate as they say?
      Thanks in advance.

      @@rickyperkins232 Yes I would still recommend it. Yes it is accurate the only con on the machine is the dust extraction it is not well designed in my opinion.

    Saludos, muchas gracias por la respuesta amigo Tom Williams, la verdad para mí es una ayuda el recibir cualquier información, por qué deseo adquirir una de esas máquinas pero que sea de 110_127vlts, en mi país no hay ese voltaje

    Wonderful video!! How do you feel about the saw now that you have had it quite a while? What do you think of the laser?

      Hi, I still love the saw great bit of kit apart from the dust extraction, not a good design. As for the lazer, it's hard to set up, and I never use it, to be honest. Anyway thanks for watching.

      Hello from England 🇬🇧 sorry it took me a day or so to get back to you. The Machine is 240volt over here and the price was £720 that would be about $842 American dollars I hope this helps👍

    Hey Tom, what do you think about the fences, does not be available to slide the and removing them instead really matters ?

    • @TomMagicWoodworking
      @TomMagicWoodworking  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi I have tried it both ways with and with out the fences and there is not much difference if any so no it does not really matter from what I have seen

    Hello Tom, maybe you can help me. It's about your Makita saw LS1219L. I would also like to buy this saw and need the measurement from the back to the front mounting hole. I need to know if the saw will fit on my workbench. Thank you in advance.

    • @TomMagicWoodworking
      @TomMagicWoodworking  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there the overall measurement from front to back is 590mm this is how much room you need for the saw to sit on minimum I hope this helps

    Just bought this and its missing the "grip" knob for the "turn base". It's part 21 in the manual. Can anyone send me dimensions of what it is so I can machine one, or tell me where to get a replacement in Canada? Thanks.
