I think a Clone Wars style animated series would be great for Indy so you don’t need to worry about age ‘cause you can bounce around the timeline AND adapt the expanded adventures in some way shape or form
I hope you saw that Rob MacGregor’s unpublished novel “Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings” (which was meant to tie into the video game from 2009) has been released online “unofficially” as an e-book. The PDF is out there! I’m just glad he managed to share his last (so far) Indy novel with us after it sat on a shelf collecting dust for 14 years!
Is there any accessible way to read or listen to these books? Audible only has Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but I’m very interested in reading the others. I’ve heard they now go for fairly high prices these days
The Interior World was an acid trip. I did not like this entry in the series. Sky Pirates also not as good as the rest. The Secret of the Sphinx, I really liked!
Yes. I don't know why it gets so much hate. I really liked it. Indy with the help of a young wicca witch has to stop a mastermind that is trying to take over the world...Indy has Merlin's sword.. gold coins from the days of Christ....whole bunch of stuff is in this novel...fun!
Yes i have a few Indy 'choose your on adventures' by RL stine.. Also own a few young indiana jones books...but this video was just the novels...I do have flip through videos of the further adventures of Indiana Jones by marvel comics that came out in the 80s ..
A lot of these books are pretty pricey nowadays but I’m happy to say I’m expanding my Indy book collection slowly but surely! Almost done with Dance of the Giants and am really enjoying it! I’ve also been reading the Fate of Atlantis and Marvel comics, you mentioned possibly talking about the comics in the future and I for one would be very interested in hearing you take on the ones you’ve read!
Wanna start making my own content taking an extensive look into the Indiana Jones timeline, a daunting task for sure but a fun one. I noticed that the Indy expanded universe doesn’t get talked about as much as the Star Wars universe. In some ways I get it but I also gotta respect the people who do have content on it because it’s really underrated stuff and I feel like I’m getting to know an already well known character even deeper.
The novels ended in 1934...Temple of Doom was in 1935 and Raiders was in 1936... my guess was Indy and Marion were together 10 years before 1936 because of her line “I've learned to hate you in the last 10 years.” ... so that would make it 1926... and that would be the novel Indiana Jones and the Seven Veils...so we need to email Rob MacGregor and ask him. because he has Indy with Deirdre Campbell 😬 Maybe Deirdre is why Indy left Marion! LOL
George Lucas didn't allow it, as he wanted to explore these characters in the Youn Indiana Jones Chronicles show, leading all the way up till Temple of Doom, but since the show got cancelled, he also never got to show it.
thanks!😀 no i have not found the german releases... I wished maybe Disney would have reprinted them for us USA fans...i have no idea what Disney is doing... i wish they would release more Indy stuff. This new movie has No comics, no novels...heck maybe just reprint the old novels for everyone... thanks again for watching!
@thetin-candalorian3319 I think Disney just ignores it now. There was a rumor they were going to do what they did with star wars... but now, since the new movie underperformed... Disney didn't even do a dial of destiny novelization... or even a comic book... so Disney does not care about Indiana Jones 🤨
@@JamieEvansBooks yeah I figured they wouldn’t care. But I use that as an excuse to say that these are all still canon. Really sad that Dial underperformed
@@JamieEvansBooks I’ll keep it in mind cause I happen to have army of the dead and I’ll admit it’s a crime thay by now as a 20 year old finally watched this this year with my mom to get ready for the new one and I do love reading though have a bunch of books to read and discovering this video I was gonna see if I can get some off of thrift books and didn’t think of this till now and here I am asking but thank you for the feedback🫡😎😁

This is a nice layout and list. I have and read the McCoy novels, but a lot of the McGregor ones are tough to find now.
The Young Indy books take place between the kid Indy episodes and the teen Indy episodes.
