Very good review! I also liked that you did the rehiit live for us. How high does the heart rate goes within those 2 times 20s? Do you have time to sweat? Do you feel you have exercise hours later? 1 day later? Thx
It's going to vary a lot from person to person. My heart rate gets up to about 140 (about 70% of my max). I sweat in that time but not all our reviewers do. I definitely feel like I have exercised hours later.
@BestTreadmillReviews that's crazy that's just going to 70% of max heart rate for such a short time can elicit any adaptation. Did you measure your vo2max before abd after using the bike? Or you only tried it once? Thx again
@@soulnight1606 I tested the CAROL bike consistently for a few months, but I was also running 60 miles per week to train for a marathon. I can't say how much my VO2 max would have improved from the bike alone unfortunately. I think my heart rate would have been much higher, too, if I wasn't doing all the extra training .
I like how quiet the bike is. Thanks for the video! Question: I too use a Garmin watch. Can the workout done on the Carol be downloaded into my Garmin Connect app so that I have accurate data that integrates with all my other Garmin data?
Via Zwift, I had to download a ".fit" file and import that into Garmin then I was able to get that "good data" into Garmin Connect. It was a little bit of a pain but not having that data impacts metrics data in Garmin that helps me to see a clear picture on my health and training readiness. Thanks for the reply!
That could work. The freewheel safety clutch on the Carol Bike makes it a lot easier to start and stop heavier resistance abruptly. Other exercise bikes would just require you to hit the brake if they don't allow freewheeling.
Thanks for the review! I just built my Carol bike today and I'm setting up the seat height for my first ride. You mentioned not to pedal with the bike off. Do you mean w/ the bike unplugged from the wall or when there is no program being run from the monitor?
Carol recommends only pedaling the bike when it is in a program. This ensures that the magnets are in the proper position away from the flywheel so the braking mechanism will not be harmed.
@@BestTreadmillReviews Thank you! They s/ really put that in their instructions somewhere. It’s natural to try pedaling to check for proper seat height before running a program. They need to do better.

It doesn't seem like it. I've only been able to connect my Garmin as a heart rate monitor.

@@RobertHopkinsArt oh nice!
I wish peloton would introduce some kind of module that makes their bikes do this. The bikes with auto resistance could do it
