Yeah, this one feels too much like a paid ad and not honest recommendation to home gym owners. Also, too damn expensive for my blood. Most home gym people who fail to,achieve results just aren’t honest about their programming and diet. This app is simply a waste of money if you aren’t already motivated. If you are motivated then you don’t need an app to get you there. One common theme in the channel - less and less budget friendly as the site/channel increases in revenue. Losing the core audience
Also as a longtime viewer/follower Coop, I am DEFINITELY ready to believe you love this product. In fact I do. What makes this feel like a paid advertisement is the lack of details into everything (this should have been a deep dive 20 minute video at least imo) and a lack of constructive detailed critiques. The end result is a quick very-positive review for something that costs $150 a month, and your affiliate link suggests a conflict of interest. Thanks for your time Coop.
Happy for everyone's success here but man... these reviews really coming across as paid sponsorships at this point. I miss the actual garage gym era of GGR....going to have to dip into the archives to get some of that classic Coop inspiration.
Totally understand that on this video. Felt the same after watching it tbh. First, this isn't a paid sponsorship, we will always call it out if it is. Second, there are times where there are products that I honestly like so much that I have to REALLY look for negatives and then calling them out seems a bit purposeless because it's literally just for the sake of finding negatives. An example of this in the past is the Tonal Review Video from a couple years ago as well as the C2 SkiErg. Neither were sponsored videos. I'm a big fan of Future and really, the only thing that I don't like is the cost. But when you compare it to personal training, which is what it is, it's a much better value. So, totally understand your comment, am grateful for the feedback, and want to make sure we continue honest, in-depth reviews and only increase in all areas. Either way, while not sponsored per your confirmation, someone had specific Future-inspired talking points on hand to promote a product you genuinely love - which took away from the genuine love.
@Nate 100% agree. This is one of the first videos that felt like an infomercial that was just a high level demo/overview and not a review. They didn’t even go into detail on the training methodologies other than a few testimonials. Brandon Campbell’s reviews of JuggernautAI is way more informative and at a detail Coop normally does which is why this was disappointing. Where is the comparison to other training apps on the market? Where is an example walkthrough of one workout end to end? Where’s the review of how progressive overload and fatigue are managed? EVERY product and service has negative aspects even if they’re overshadowed by positives and the video would be a bit more palatable to just point those out even if you have to look hard for them. I highly respect Coop and the girls did a good job and added additional perspective so I’ll give a pass on this one, but if this becomes the new trend for reviews I’ll find somewhere else for detailed analysis.
Very happy we were able to get 3 videos this week...BUT, I am just not sure how many of your home gym owners want a monthly subscription to anything. It would make a for an interesting poll though.
@@bmstylee I saw your comment on Juggernaut, and yes, I can see that price point for some powerlifters, but $150 a month...for accountability? If you built a home gym, you already want to train and have cut out the biggest barrier which is going to a gym and the commute.
To be honest, $19.00 starting fee then $5.00 per day can add up. My wife and I were just talking about rampant inflation. More importantly, while our home gym cost a bit to set up, we no longer have to pay gym dues and deal with their price increases. The benefit of a home gym is NOT paying monthly fees. I think a good book, TH-cam training sites, magazines etc. can provide most people the training info they need if their self motivated. It seems like everything today is turning into a subscription based service...
I hope this isn't a new trend. One thing I could always count on from Coop is honest unbiased opinions. He always has negatives/etc. Even if he is a true believer, doesn't feel right coming from a sponsored video. I heard cost as a negative mentioned quickly compared to CrossFit memberships and coach fees (what?... we're in home gyms for a reason). Oh, and it took 6:55 to mention that it's not available on Android. In general, Coop did a much better job of sounding authentic vs. the others but I'm glad the others were in here to clarify that this is indeed sponsored.
Future app has been changing my life. Don’t listen to the naysayers and sign up if you don’t have a box of gym you go to consistently. Ive been recovering from a very lazy lifestyle during the pandemic and I’m just getting to the point where I’m more consistent than pre-pandemic. $200 is expensive but this is about your life
Unbiased honest reviews are one thing that we LOVE from you coop. But this feels like forced paid advertising, I dont doubt for a second that you highly rate the app, but 150 a month man?
For personal programming I can see the merit in the price. But my gym investment was suppose to pay it self off by not paying a membership. I can see me doing it for 1 month to get a program done
What happened to the details? How do you track weights and sets? Do the coaches have their training style listed or do you tell them you want block, linear, conjugate, etc? Is it hard to change exercise mid workout?
Every screenshot i've seen of Future is stuff like "15 burpees" or "20 plank rows" or some other none-sense. Its incredibly telling that the intake form you fill out asks your goals and its only stuff like "get toned." It displays a lot of emphasis on burning calories and getting hot and sweaty. At $150 and what i've seen i'm incredibly skeptical you'd receive any sort of intelligent strength programming via this app.
@@xregularxjohnx Haven't tried it yet but looking forward to giving it a shot (they give you a free month so nothing to lose). When you sign up they have you fill out an equipment list and barbels, plates, dumb bells and other gym equipment are listed. They claim to build the workout based on the equipment you have access to. You also do a facetime call with your trainer to setup your goals and so they can get a idea of your experience level before starting. My only concern is the trainer isn't there when you are working out to correct form issues. You can send a video but then have to wait on a response. Trainers they have do seem to be qualified as well. Hoping it is as good as Coop says because it was his video that made me check it out.
I think this is the point in time when Coop has jumped the shark, I started following him because I wanted to become “membership free”, and build a kick ass gym I my garage. Now he’s pushing a product that has $150 a month subscription fee??? Nope, sorry Coop.
Honestly anyone who really spent the money to have home gym, knows what they need and this garbage is definitely not one of them. None of Coop's recent video interests me and i would rather watch Brandon basement I'm only interested in stuff that is useful in a home gym setting.

@@stenmin1234 ur right. I should have worded it better, I just meant that the dislike button feels so useless it’s like it’s not there anymore. The creator normally knows how a vid will do before putting it out and now there is no real reason to dislike IMO.
I'm sorry but this just felt like a straight ad, and then the only small bad things you had to say were said by people that had never been on the channel before. If you're going to do an ad, or a paid sponsorship video that's not actually a review, you should be more clear about it. Also for the price, why wouldn't you go to a gym and get a real personal trainer instead of some dude or chick that might glance at your shitty form video to give a minute of advice? You didn't even give it much of a review for what the user actually sees on the screen.
Yeah this does come off as an ad for your friends highly expensive app. I doubt you or the girls involved actually paid that over the course of the 300 workouts. I get expanding and growing, but there’s a line you guys have to be careful not to cross that will make it look like you’re getting a kickback.
This is nonsense ... all you need is progressive resistance, basic exercises, a barbell and a few plates ... there are thousands of free routines online ... save your money
Liking the improvements that you are making with the reviews.. including other opinions from your staff is great! You lost me at .. only being IPhone compatible and $150 a month. I'm an Android user. I personally like the challenge of developing my own routine. That might come from my time in the US Army.. where I spent 22 years of my life
GGR: The hardest pill to swallow is price. It's $150-- Me: Oh, $150 a year! That's really affordable! GGR: -a month. Me: ...Oof, that is rough. I mean, for basically a personal trainer, it's still affordable. But in the context of Garage Gym Reviews, it doesn't make sense to post this video. The audience is filled with people who are trying to save money through self-sufficiency. Just my opinion. App looks cool, though.
That's kinda how I feel too. But I also get it from a business perspective. How many barbell reviews can you really do and still grow? The content can get stale pretty fast. Or incredibly time consuming/expensive to do if you want something like "What's the best home gym lat pull down?!?" because you have to keep comparing new stuff back to the old stuff. I can see how that becomes pretty difficult.
Feels too much like a paid ad, then I go on the site just to see what the sign up process looks like and they ask what gender i am, then they provide like 10 options. HARD PASS.
I can't believe you said "Yeah SOME of that is due to diet but it's largely due honestly because of Future". Body Comp is MOSTLY diet, period. I don't want to belittle training, it's the second most important factor and without it nobody can achieve any goal. I understand that this is a commercial, but you are responsible for what you say, many people will follow blindly everything you say and they will pay for a program that maybe they can't afford because of your "review".
I had the exact same thought when I heard him say that. There is genuinely more scientific evidence supporting the idea that diet has a greater impact on body comp than exercise, even if exercise produces it's own benefits. I get that if his body composition changed after using Future for 6 months without a change in his diet then that's a good result and was probably what he was specifically referring to. But that one line is incredibly misleading to the average consumer who might think that this App is the answer they're looking for. To me it's grounds to delete the video... Or at least for posting a follow up.
@@givewai You don't even need scientific data for that. Just a simple comparison of what it takes to burn 600 calories vs the ease of eating another slice of your supremely loaded pizza.
I think the infomercial vibes everyone is getting is because of the way everything was shot and edited together. That being said, I'm in the market for a similar app and the information provided in this video did help me make a decision to not pursue this one, not even just because of the price, but because of the iPhone only app. Thanks for the video Coop!
@@mbuck69 Compatibility mostly. I personally don't think the $150 is a bad deal for online personal training, there are much more expensive options out there. For myself I don't find I need help with accountability, but would love someone to craft my routine for me for a change, so with that in mind I'm more interested in less expensive options like Juggurnaut AI.
Look man, bodybuilding mindset is very different from strength workouts. It's just 3-4 sets of 8-12reps with slow tempo, good pump and you are good to go, nothing is complicated, neither you need an app, coach or anything.

Reading some of the comments, I see a similar theme that I've seen on other channels I subscribe to: there's an element who think they're entitled to content that caters exclusively to them. The reason I have a home gym has nothing to do with saving money. Sure, it's still a benefit, but it was never one of my top concerns (it's also worth considering that in some cases home gyms can be more expensive than traditional gym memberships). Having said that, I think this app costs more than it's worth for most people, but some might find it helpful. The motivation that comes with training in a group environment with attention from trainers is arguably the primary benefit of working out in a gym. This app gives people a way to capture some of that from home, even if there might be better apps out there. Legitimate criticisms aside, some of GGR's subscribers need to cope with the fact that every single video won't cater exclusively to their needs.
i think more ppl are complaining that it feels like a paid advertisement. Coop even acknowledged it in the comments. Yeah the price is an issue for some, but him being good friends with the trainer & promo code all ring biased review. Especially when there's kickbacks to every sign up
@@averagedonnie7858 - people also think they’re entitled to free content at the expense of others. It costs money to put out this kind of content on a regular basis. I don’t care if Coop makes money this way, as long as he’s honest about it. It’s possible for someone to truly believe in a product while also money making promoting it. The question is whether you think Coop genuinely likes this app.
Yikes, $150 / month is a non starter for me. Not that I had the option being an android user. I agree with the other comments, this felt way too much like a sponsored piece, I really hope this isn't the future direction of one of my favourite channels
Sounds like your paid sponsorship is cheapening the value of your channel giving you impetus to sell. I do think that people who are just starting up do need a trainer to make sure that their form is good, but someone such as you doesn't need a trainer at this point. If you have one at this stage, that is fine, but that is way more than the average guy needs. I had a trainer to help me do squats and deadlifts and lower body exercises, and he was great. But I don't need someone to hold my hand and don't need someone to make changes in my work out any fricking hour of the day. This kind of service is better for serious athletes not garage gym enthusiasts such as myself. Downvoted.
The fact you attribute body comp to a workout program and barely acknowledge diet tells me you are just a shill for this... Not interested in watching the rest and will not trust you related to this
I just wanted to echo Coop’s review of this app. I’ve been a member since August 2020 and it’s helped me so much in areas that other apps like Fitbod have fallen short. The connection with the coach is really the selling point and my coach (shoutout to Ross!) is amazing. I reach out to him all the time for form critiques or workout adjustments. Super motivating to have a coach in your corner. Again, this is not for everyone. If you’re already motivated and experienced, you may not get the same value, but for me, the results are worth every bit I’ve paid.
Not a fan of online training, did it myself for 18 months and it requires a certain mindset and skillset. Things like accountability and motivation aren’t an issue for me, but knowing how hard to push is extremely difficult to determine and you don’t know where technical breakdown is happening without someone being there. My coach had 18 years of experience (almost unique in the industry) with national champions and world record holders on his books. And if you don’t want someone pumping basic cookie cutter programs then you need someone like that. But it was still challenging.
This is clearly an paid Ad. not a review. This is the kind of videos which destroy an credibility and in name of money and dishonest profit. At least in previous years we had the dislike button, so people can know which videos are not to be trusted. Disappointing.
I'll chalk this video up at growing pains with the new team/studio but man did I hate it. I think having the garage gym was what made things authentic. This feels like corporate paid extended commercial
Sorry Coop but this sounds like a paid advertisement. So basically you're paying $150 for someone to write programming and be a rep counter.. Juggernaut AI is a better option. Plus it's 1/5 the cost and doesn't require an Apple product.
I love Future! I think more people in the comments need to acknowledge the value of having a professional coach, especially one who typically trains athletes at an elite level, and what the impact that has on your training. It will definitely help you reach your goals a lot faster, which is worth the money for many. I have been training with them for about a month and a half-ish and I have gained a considerable amount of mass with just a few simple pieces of equipment using their programming (Bowflex 552 dumbbells, kettlebell and resistance bands). At the end of the day, the light push/motivation that your Future coach will give you is no substitute for your own passion and drive when it comes to your training. My current coach is also a strength and conditioning coach for professional athletes (MLB, NFL, NBA, etc.), so the knowledge and programming is incredibly high-quality and pretty worth the $150 price tag.
Sounds like you work for them. No one here has said anything negative regarding the trainers. The complaints have been about the overall feel of the video mixed in with the promo code
@@averagedonnie7858 I am just giving my take. I don't work for them. I've actually used the service unlike others on here, and I think it's great. I'm entitled to my opinion and to express my voice. Shame on you for trying to belittle my comment.
My gym membership's $33/month. If I spend another $117/month on my home gym, I could really beef it up in the next year. Or, I could get this app and find a coach who doesn't know to tell me to get my elbow up on DB kickbacks. Tough decision.
It's sad that your channel and others are so heavily influenced by Rogue, Rep Fitness, etc. People aren't dumb, we can spot paid content even if it's not explicitly indicated. There are so many makers of garage gym equipment that never gets reviewed: Elitefts, Wal-Mart brand bumper plates, Weider, etc. I wonder why?
It's not that they're directly sponsored to make a positive review, however they get these affiliate links which gives them a certain percentage of every purchased by someone who clicked on the link. I doubt they'd give those out to someone who's a "hater"
@@averagedonnie7858 I actually still recommend some of their stuff (racks and ssb) but they just have shady business practices and also release a lot of things without proper testing.

How can you say it's not sponsored even-though you have affiliate link to it. I know former videos were more subtle in advertising. But this is damn ridiculous. Unsusbscribing if another one like this comes out.
Hey Coop, I like your video reviews, but I think you need to bulk up a little because you don't look like you work out. Nothing personal, just a suggestion
Think this really missed the mark for the home gym community, $150 a month is reasonable for athletes and competitors, not joe shmoe’s trying to get a good workout in their garage.
Future is $149/mo (the price of a monthly membership for a boutique studio). What is the hourly rate for your wife’s trainer? Personal training sessions with a live trainer can go between $100-$150 per hour.
I’m curious, with the changes and the new team, are the people still involved who have been there for the ride? I didn’t see Sam in team photo. What about the people who have always moved the equipment and filmed? Why aren’t they included in the team photos? Are they all still around?
You know, I was wondering! I have always felt like some of that core group did so much if the work, and have been in so many videos moving equipment, assembling products, filming, and I can only assume editing the videos. I’d hate to see people who have invested so much time in the tough years, get lost in the shuffle without recognition now that GGR appears to be going “corporate”. Not sure if anyone noticed, but someone (I’m assuming one of the new employees) had commented that Sam was still around …until you made the comment that you had talked to him and he isn’t. That reply has since been deleted. I actually don’t even get the feeling anymore that the comments coming (and signed) Coop are actually written by Coop anymore. Maybe they are, but they sound too professional.
Unfortunately, Coop has gone corporate. Most TH-cam channels reach a certain level of success, and unfortunately they lose the original spirit that was the "secret sauce". GMM is another example. They reached a milestone and tried to turn their channel into a network, expanded the team, the team started appearing in more videos than Rhett and Link, didn't have the same vibe, etc. I'm not sure how I would manage that balance myself.
It's awesome when you've found a plan that that you can trust and that works for you. Upping the production qualities for sure. You have employees - who knew!? I thought you were some dude who had his buddy hold the camera for him. Lol Anyway it's cool, how many barbells can you review- right? Onward and upward.
What a garbage website Future has. You're first greeted with "Memberships are almost sold out. Pick your coach soon to secure your spot." lmao. Ok - so if I check back over time and the number of coaches hasn't increased or sign up isn't closed, I'll know your service is failing and that this is one of those clearly desperate advertising tactics. I'd say more but UPS just delivered Rogue Olympic 55s in perfect timing to erase the eye pain just suffered from Future. Edit: Now I'm pissed at Rogue. These plates arrived with severe defects that are not the result of their crappy shipping for once.
@@actionjackson9121 I'm aware, but I only purchased two 55s. I needed the thin profile for my storage location and I specifically went for these vs. calibrated because they're black. @@kapoioBCSmight be part of it. On the sheets it have sets and reps and didn't change all that much unless you changed the readiness measures. On the app if I have a really bad set it just deletes the remainder in that exercise. So, for example, if it's supposed to be 315x5x5 for squats and I just bomb the 3rd set and only get 3 for example it deleted the remainder. My body works best with more volume and the app has a bad habit of taking that away. The sheets didn't.
I'm curious what you think about the Volt Athletics app. Yes it has a subscription cost (but very reasonable) and it offers a broad range of training programs built around your available days of the week and equipment. It has an an AI/ML model under the hood that ensures you improve but don't burn out. Unlike Juggernaut it provides cardio programming as well and better all around fitness.
I saw a Future ad on tv and checked out their website. I then did some googling for reviews. I have never watched any of the reviews from this channel. I can say that I have it discount it in my determining if i will use Future. It really felt like a paid ad. All of the keywords that Future uses to describe their benefits and how they operate were covered multiple times in this review video. The fact that the owner of Future has become a friend, indicates a close relationship. There was too much here to believe this was a completely independent review. Garage Gym people - are you paying for your long term memberships? Are you receiving discounts for those memberships?
It's missing the details regarding the types of workouts and programming. It looks very basic. In addition Street Parking is $19/month and it gives you plenty of options for you to get fit, without the coach.
I totally agree. I’ve used Future for a few months now and it’s been great, the personal 1-on-1 with your coach is really amazing and definitely have gotten stronger with the programming. My only advice to give to them is that the workouts can only be in 5# increments. Having a 24# axle bar (which is kind of understandable since I presume not many people on Future are not using axle bars, lol) and having kg kettlebells always mess up my numbers.
For what it's worth, the overall coaching science from Future isn't the best I've seen. . . there are more intelligent custom coaching options out there in my professional opinion.

@@GarageGymReviews throwing the tomatoes back to the audience lmao
Very happy we were able to get 3 videos this week...BUT, I am just not sure how many of your home gym owners want a monthly subscription to anything. It would make a for an interesting poll though.
Exactly. That's why i have the home gym in the first place
I'm cool for a subscription if it's reasonable on price. $150/mo for someone who is just probably changing a template isn't good value.
We need the dislike count button back PRECISELY for videos like this so we can see the GGR communities opinion on this
If you use a browser add-on you can still see it. There is about 1/4 dislikes
Most online personal training programs are $200 a month minimum. If want to have an actual conversation with your trainer that's extra.
We got garage gyms to give up memberships.

I don't come to watch Kate. I come to watch Coop. No disrespect to Kate.
Exactly. GGR videos are COOP
Yeah this does come off as an ad for your friends highly expensive app. I doubt you or the girls involved actually paid that over the course of the 300 workouts. I get expanding and growing, but there’s a line you guys have to be careful not to cross that will make it look like you’re getting a kickback.
Just like that PRX incline bench review
Oh no. Not another subscription based infomercial. I guess GGR got a big staff to pay now.
That's what I thought when I saw how many folks are on staff now, it's about to feel less genuine when the need for more revenue exists
This is nonsense ... all you need is progressive resistance, basic exercises, a barbell and a few plates ... there are thousands of free routines online ... save your money
You complain about tonal membership. This is a commercial.
Yeah this channel is losing it's roots.
Liking the improvements that you are making with the reviews.. including other opinions from your staff is great!
You lost me at .. only being IPhone compatible and $150 a month. I'm an Android user. I personally like the challenge of developing my own routine. That might come from my time in the US Army.. where I spent 22 years of my life
Anything that's iPhone only is trash
GGR: The hardest pill to swallow is price. It's $150--
Me: Oh, $150 a year!

@@NittoNba44 Probably 😂 did you see the ridiculous options they had
Uggghh. Thanks for saving me a trip to their site!
My biggest surprise from this video is that there are this many people working for Garage Gym Reviews

Hate that they took off dislikes. Everyone knows why they did too
I think the infomercial vibes everyone is getting is because of the way everything was shot and edited together. That being said, I'm in the market for a similar app and the information provided in this video did help me make a decision to not pursue this one, not even just because of the price, but because of the iPhone only app. Thanks for the video Coop!
Also with the abundant use of the word "accountability"
Me too, was it more the price or the compatibility that made your decision?
@@mbuck69 Compatibility mostly. I personally don't think the $150 is a bad deal for online personal training, there are much more expensive options out there. Yikes 150 per a month is literally more than what a pay for gym membership yearly.
$1800 a year...to steep for me! I could buy more equipment for the garage gym.
This felt more like an ad instead of a review.
Downvoted.
Agree 100%.
The fact you attribute body comp to a workout program and barely acknowledge diet tells me you are just a shill for this... Not interested in watching the rest and will not trust you related to this
Seems that's the way GGR is trending
This just felt very late night commercial when you can't sleep and the TV still on.
Looking great though Coop!
Everyone on y tube is trying to sell something…..
If u got to be motivated by service apps then working out isn't the lifestyle for them tbh. If u enjoy it u don't need motivation
I’ve been using the Fitbod app for almost a year now with great results at $60 per year it’s a great option aswell
Did we just get 3 videos in 4 days? Keep cranking it out!

I use Future and the app is amazing.
Coop we're all Android users here, show us some love man. We already lack the Apple Watch, we need options!
I’ve been doing it for 3 weeks now because of this recommendation. I think it’s great.
I'll chalk this video up at growing pains with the new team/studio but man did I hate it. I think having the garage gym was what made things authentic. This feels like corporate paid extended commercial
Wish the iPhone only information was presented in the first 2 minutes
Bring back the old garage.
An ad for a $150/month subscription? Am I on GGR still?

I’m curious, with the changes and the new team, are the people still involved who have been there for the ride? I didn’t see Sam in team photo. What about the people who have always moved the equipment and filmed? Why aren’t they included in the team photos? Are they all still around?
Sam actually just quit. I talked to him today. He's upset about the new way GGR is going
