Damn, that match at about 1 hour in was INTENSE. Salty, but extraordinarily close.

Dang, what a tourney this was. Some matches were amazing and close, some were drawn out and obnoxious, some were downright hilarious and others..... *1:26:15* _Do I need to say it?_
But yeah, all in all one of the most tournaments to ever happen in the history of this game, truly *EPIC!*

I think Tractor Beams are less fun to watch than Point Defense. With some PD you may get a slow match but you can get the same thing with a couple slow turning Battleship Cannon builds that can't even hit each other. But with Tractors it just turns into a goofy drunk brawl with the only counters being distance or letting the AI pilot the ship. (more then 20 PD or dedicated PD ships are just lame though) But with Tractors there's essentially a piloting skill gap where either the players can handle it and are fine or they just hard flunk and all the skill goes out of the match. They also seem to be a hard counter to Ion Beams with their need to be focused and poor tracking.

I like how it makes the investment into a thrust, weight and counter tractors factor in. There's more going on than just offensive power and defensive power.

With correct Tractor Beam positioning an individual doesn't need much thrust and weight is pretty cheep, so at that point it could become a game of everyone equipping Tractor Beams just in case someone else uses them. Essentially becoming a mandatory part for all builds that are slow handling and front armored or focused firing.
If a part is so busted that the most tangible counter is for everyone to equip it then it's a bad part.
