A point about the PD balance changes: Investing in PD is essentially wasted money in the majority of matchups. So it should absolutely counter missiles. Otherwise what's the point, if the one matchup where PD is supposed to be great it ends up being just ok? That's the problem with single use case weapons like PD. If you want to balance PD, maybe it would be better to introduce more uses to it, so that you can approach more than one aspect of the weapon when making balance changes.
It can shoot down missiles, emps, nukes, physical projectiles, deck guns, and rail gun shots. As well as being able to be used as a minor offensive weapon when needed. I can’t think of a way to give it more utility or use without entirely overhauling how it works.
@@ekothesilent9456 Its offensive capabilities are so small that they literally don't exist in any competitive play - maybe not even in casual play. And they don't do crap to nukes - certainly not ones that are already flying at you and often not even ones that get ejected while within PD range. So I don't think those points are worth mentioning. Yes, they do shoot at projectiles other than missiles too, but if you hurt their ability to do that, then they become completely useless. So that's not a good balancing aspect to tinker with. Plus, you can already basically disable enemy PD by ramming them, thus giving PD too little time to shoot down projectiles.

@@somedudeok1451 you’re arguments aren’t great and you don’t suggest any other uses, utilities or features. . 🤷♂️
@@ekothesilent9456 Just because I don't have all the solutions myself doesn't mean I can't see that certain solutions are not good.
Couldn't participate this time but it's a pleasure to see you host these tournaments as always! Congratulations to the top 3 and well played to all!
Plaus with the fast rails was cool. Very good multi ship piloting
These are superbly enjoyable please keep them coming. I'll have to concider participating at some point.
That chaingun ship lol
so, just found this. Is anyone still doing tournaments?

@@SarisWinterwispwould love to see more tournaments from this channel…
Do players have to bring their own ships or can we use others. Building is hard 😢
You could probably ask one of the pro builders to give you a design.
what is the reasoning behind playing with fog of war enabled?
It makes sensors a design factor in your ship and allows ships that make that investment the ability to out-maneuver/plan before the opposing ship.
