Do not visit Ljubljana if you expect to pay for the use of toilets. Public toilets in Ljubljana are free and clean, including those under Triple Bridge and Butcher's Bridge. 🚾

So the bartenders don't like good beer from other countries, that is interesting, but same time could be 1 of the lowered % alcohol version that USA gets than it is understandable. But supporting local is a good thing, if can afford it as those beers do tend 2 be more expensive. The 10th. I love look of old streets, it always look diff from same street connected 2 it. Love old buldings, in some places the buildings bend forward, almost scary 2 look at it as it looks like it going 2 fall on you. Stay awesome and postive Little Squirrelie 🐿🐉.

I didn't like the bridges, the river, the parks, the pedestrianised centre, the castle, the funicular, dragons or the beer the first time I went. I didn't like it so much that I had to go twice more just to make sure I didn't like it as much as I remembered. In fact I was so busy not liking it I failed to get to Metelkova, which was one of the reasons I went. Unfortunately this means I will have to endure it again just to make sure I don't like that either. FML.
I'll never come back to Slovenia. During my 3rd, and last visit, me and my girlfriend were subjected to an attempted robbery by a group of migrants in a place called "Zvezda Park", in broad daylight, in full view of many members of the public (none of which even looked in our direction, let alone attempted to intervene). Later, when we reported the matter to the police, we were told by one of the police officers that a Slovenian couple were attacked by migrants in the train station and the girl was gang-r*ped. Slovenia likes to pretend it is a "safe" country, but so much has changed in the last 12 months.
Love to revisit your older vids, you would have done so well if you would have keep making vids like them, especially in the times we currently live in here in the US. Still love your work, I haven't watch in awhile and I currently watching some of your new vids
I lived in Slovenia for several years in the late 90s. I can tell you that this cute woman is fairly typical there. But it is very difficult to get them to date you. If you pursue, they run. If you have money, they will find out and find you, don't worry.

Yes. Most of tourist points have information in several languages, including English. And young people speak at least one foreign language, mostly English.
There was already a bridge there in Middle Ages, next to it, or on it there were butcher shops. So the original wooden bridge was named Butchers bridge.
As an Austrian I can attest to Slovenia being a pretty country, it's kind of similar to my home country but still different enough to be worth a visit and it is probably one of the few foreign countries I feel "home" in, despite the different languages, though many Slovenians are quite proficient in German I'd say.
Barbara, I have a question: in some countries nearby that were a former part of Yugoslavia many people from the older generations speak Russian as a second language. This was the case when I visited Serbia; Is this true in Slovenia as well?
In that part of Europe learning Russian was mandatory in schools in the '50 to '70, that's why. This includes countries from Macedonia or Bulgaria to Moldova and Ukraine.
Number 11…. If you like trash … don’t visit Ljubljana .. they keep the city so clean Number 12… if you don’t like talking about where you are from .. don’t visit … the shop keepers will ask you and want to know how you found out about Slovenia

Reason 9: used to drink zlatoroc pivo back in 1978 when I visited. What about pils dva sto - still exists, too? My Slovenian friend often ordered "petsto litrov belo vina, prosim".
We literally do! :) Only ever really spent a Friday evening there drinking a couple of times myself, though, as it's a bit far from my home and I have a few nice parks near my house.
