I have had my cameo 3 for 2 years now...sitting in its box collecting dust as I felt too overwhelmed and didn’t even know where to begin. Today I got it out of the box and your video really helped me understand what everything was since I know ZERO about the machine. Thank you!

I can't decide if it's worth buying one for all the hassle there seems to be learning to use it - or just order stencils instead?!

If you are using the auto blade, the machine is going to make the adjustments automatically based on the material you're using, if you're using another blade you need to adjust them manually as I showed in the video with the deep cut blade.

One this about Silhoutte that I didn't like is that it has so many different sites or places you need to go to get info. Subscriptions to this and that... Looks like even the full manual is something you need to buy!! is that true or is there a place I can download the manual free? does it explain all the things you can do with the cameo 3 or just machine operation detail?

Hi, this is the now and older generation, Cameo4 is out, you can check my video about. When using vinyl you can cut 12"wide and up to 10' feet long. You can use your own images if they are compatible with Silhouette Studio. They are different set that you can buy. The box of Cameo doesn't come with material. Check my video about Cameo4.
Can you create sayings to put on the mugs. However, would you use the Cameo 3 to make the sayings?

So there's no way that I can make a custom silhouette on Adobe Illustrator and upload it to The Cameo Software? I can only use the files that they provide?
No, You can use illustrator to create your own projects, but you'll need to upgrade your software to the designer edition if you want to use SVG files.

Hi Kelly, I can only talk about Cricut and Cameo because I haven't used Curio. Both machines are great, in the end, it's all about preference. If you're a novice probably you'll like Cricut more, if you have experience using design programs, you'll like Cameo more. Hi, for paper, regular and medium cardstock, you can use the auto blade; for heavyweight cardstock, you should use the deep cut blade.
This seems much easier than the Brother Scan N Cut.

Hi, if you are cutting with a mat the max length will be 24". However if you are using a material that has a backing like vinyl you can cut a roll up to 10 feet long.

Can you import a file from another program ..for example..to make vinyl stickers? Is the cameo capable of producing large quantities? How often do you need to change the blades?
Hi, yes, you can import file from other programs. Check on Silhouette website the type of the file that they support. The life span of the blade depends on the amount of project you make. If you're planning to make a lot of decals protect I recommend investing in a roller feeder for Cameo 3.
Can this cameo 3 do screen Printings?
Thank you for the video. Do you have to use the adjustable blade in holder one or can you use other blades? Such as CB09? Also can embossing be done on Cameo 3 as you can with Curio?
Hi there, you can only use the autoblade in holder A, however you can use other blades in holder A, although I prefer using holder B for my other blades. Sadly, embossing cannot be done with Cameo3.
Curious in your opinion is cricket or silhouette better. They both have different models and its hard for me to know which one is better , what models ,...etc aren't they all able to cut and do the same things with mostly all the materials ?

Sabes que hace un par de semanas compre mi cameo 3 , y ahora es que me voy enterando que solo es un plotter de corte y no imprime 🙈Ahora bien, necesito comprarme una impresora y quiero saber si me puedes ayudar en cuál es la ideal para trabajar cosas como banners, toppers y todo lo que se usa en las mesas de candy bar, por ejemplo cartulinas gruesas y vinilo adhesivo. Hola, no se porque tu comentario fue marcado como spam, por eso recien lo vi. Lo de la impresora es muy complicado. Yo tengo la Epson Xp410 es malisima, no la recomiendo a nadie. A mi la que me gustan son la Bother, pero la de colores es mas costosa (toner). Otra alternativa es la de tinta, antes tenia la Canon y me parecia excelente.
