    Looks like a long and epic trip, u definitely have big country to travel through in Canada. We like taking quiet back roads and going slow and easy. Not sure if your trip is done but ride safe, and watch out for the spandex road hogs, lol.

    Now that you are almost to the end. I’m going to start this series over and watch it from the beginning again.

    Hi Ritchie,
    I have just started watching your series.
    Funny enough, I am from the Feversham area and posted my 3 week trip to the East Coast on my TriumphTiger!
    I am also bald. Lol.
    Dave

    Nice to see I'm not the only motorcyclist who attracts half ton pickups. It's like I've got a giant magnet in my back fender, and they just can't escape it. Hope the rest of the trip goes well.

    I did this exact trip on my 2004 FZ6 this year. Was amazing.

    I am off to Nova Scotia from Winnipeg End of June/24. Doing it on a 411 cc Royal Enfield Himalayan. Just bought the bike last Oct. My first attempt at a long M..Bike trip. The longest I have done is a 200 km one way (400 in total). Solo trip.

    Hi! It'll be interesting to see what this part of Canada is like. At the moment it seems pretty straight, tree lined roads. We don't do many straight roads in Western Europe! 😉

      Once I get out east, roads become much more interesting!

    Bald & Biking, I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and noted your comment where you described the discovery of "twisting" the bike. As a number of people mentioned what you are experiencing is counter steering the motorcycle. You've probably been doing this all along subconsciously and then actively did it while going through some tighter switchbacks. In any case it is essential to riding and critical to evasive maneuvering or carrying any amount of speed into a corner. The attached video popped up in my feed so I thought I would take the time to share it with you out of interest. th-cam.com/video/vSZiKrtJ7Y0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mmdUpJZoDzeTodXP

      It's a little beyond simple counter-steering. It's kind of like two handed countersteering with use of legs and feet two. Basic countersteering is like "push steering" where you just push on the side you want to go. Twisting the bike is using your whole body and all four limbs to turn the bike. I have yet to see if this is a good technique on gravel bends.

      @@baldandbiking what did you think of the attached video from (Ryan) at FortNine ?

    • @baldandbiking
      @baldandbiking  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just finished watching the video. I completely disagree with every point Ryan made. No you cannot countersteer at any speed, yes you can use footpegs to steer, especially on dirt or gravel, and yes, leaning the bike does affect steering immensely. These are not "myths". I don't know why Ryan would say such things.@@gpslost2068
