Why would a family opt to reside in expensive states and/or cities in USA? California is extremely expensive particularly the housing market- rentals and/or sales. So are Washington, New York city and so on. It's pertinent to conduct thorough research prior to making such great decisions. Parents ought to have also researched the education status for the children's sake and the ramifications.
Sometimes you have options back home. If you don't you will just have to 'wear a thick skin' and make it happen. We simply have next to none opportunities back home......

But now am good but my advice is if someone is doing well in Kenya don't come to Western just stay in Kenya since I av seen pple who av sold there property to come here and they ended up frustrated since here in France documents are everything. Without documents you will not be good and you can't settle.
I personally think everybody has a different journey. People doing good in kenya can loose everything in a blink of an eye.either because of robbery or sickness.the systems dont work.you have to bribe everybody from a gateman to the managers to get things done.what am trying to say is people relocate for different reason but most importantly to a system that works.struggles are there before settling it very ok you are from a different country but with patience and hardwork the situation will change with time.plz stop discouraging people who want to relocate because of your story.give people hope as you tell your stories. In kenya the only people who can survive are politicians, police, doctors and thats if they have their private clinics and people doing sheddy businesses. Otherwise a normal Kenyans with normal income are still frustrated by the system.si kwa ubaya lakini.dont discourage people because if the places you are are that bad you could be back in kenya.
There are so many opportunities. No need to stick to nursing. I have no idea why Kenyans stick to this one profession even when they don't like it and it's not even fulfilling for them. There's more to life than just surviving to pay bills.

@@essiewakago Essie Kenyans need to wake up before they get on the plane & as soon as they arrive to the USA there are very few friends/hosts. My host kicked me out after 1 months & I had my 4 yr old child with me but I still
made it with lots of sacrifices & hard work & fought my way up, so this thing of "host" Kenyans need to forget it, as the host is a regular Kenyan working probably 2 jobs to pay bills. As soon Kenyans land in the USA they need to quickly find any job that can pay a studio apt or find a roommate don't expect to be hosted, that's the reality my dear.
I know this family i remember saying goodbye in church in California Sacramento house of groly .

Yes there’s job opportunities here in America but no business opportunities
If you come for schools
It’s better to work hard and avoid taking loans
And everything will be fine
Saying there are no business opportunities here for Kenyans is not true.
America's life is damn expensive. It is not for the faint hearted. Most of the time you will be working for bills with nothing to save.
that's why we have something called investing. That's what the white man does. Most of you just lack INFORMATION and you're not go-getters.
46.000 to even 70.000 dollars for a year's course..🙆♀️🙆♀️🙆♀️ America is really Expensive..
Nice talk 💞. You kept us waiting at the beginning. The sound needs improvement. Pliz try to edit the video B4 uploading it 💞. You need to watch your own video later in order to evaluate it. The topic is very interesting 🌟
It was recorded live
Hosting issues is a big factor on how fast it will take to settle down. I had a bad host in Boston and they frustrated me. God brought strangers who taught me driving, took me to apply jobs, shopping etc.
2 years of frustations but God came through for me through strangers. My hosts were from Hell even though they pretended to be Christians
Can you help me, am almost relocating there siz
Resarch Research N Alooooooooooooot Of Research Needed Before Relocation.
It depends on your host otherwise America is all same
Some channels tell us education is cheap in America! Guess it depends whom you ask!
Its rather unfortunate they could not allow her sit KSCE yet they had admitted her to high school without KCPE results.
Schools just want students and most do not rightly advice students
I would want to go back to college but that will have to wait until we are fully settled in.... To avoid all this frustrations
..these frustrations.
Nice and informative interview. Thx Essie n Grace for sharing.
I think after sometimes..people retire and invest back home also.

I’m American and im planning on GOING to Kenya. The US is posion
ESSIE HI, Very informative interview,.I love your content cos you are so real.
Good interview there.

I did not mean to spend 30 minutes watching, but it was so interesting I watched until the end.

Sometimes you have options back home. If you don't you will just have to 'wear a thick skin' and make it happen. We simply have next to none opportunities back home......
Essie Wakago! Friendly Vlogging advice....and Audio advice when you are doing interviews. The microphone belongs to the person you are interviewing. You don't even need to be in the picture frame. The story belongs to the person you are interviewing. Get 2 microphones, 2 Cameras if it is absolutely important forr you to be seen and heard.
In short everywhere is expensive even here in Kenya. I read California in maps.
If you are doing "well" in kenya wacha kiherehere ya greencard. Let we hustlers go n hustle there
Honesty appreciated 💞
any one that tells me the usa is more difficult than kenya id say is just soft.if i ever get the chance to go to the usa id work my ass off to never have to come back to my current situation in kenya.i think america is just a level more competitive as an african i have accustomed to this id rather go to the usa and work for 20 yrs and come invest my savings here than just be comfortable here.
America is not for lazy people, your in America and unashindwa na maisha 🤣 hiyo ni kuwa malenge

Yeah, you cant seat for KCSE without KCPE certs
I xane from Tanzania where i was in college and i wantedto join form two in kenya and i was told that i would not be able to do my kcse until i got my kcse cert then i had to go back to primary
So, it wasn't bribe but the fact
This is funny..... I laughed before i even started watching 😅
2008 the economy in the USA was on a downfall too.
If you are making less than 100k a year then forget about California
Huyo alirudi home coz alikuwa anachagua maisha uko...for that I'm truly sorry you had to come back home since you weren't psychologically prepared to build your life from a scratch. But next time you get the chance my dear please be prepared to face the monster....nothing good has ever come in a easy way including getting the green card. Think again.
Many are doing it due to easy money not because they like it
You must seat kcpe or register a certain exqm before registering
For one to do an KCSE one has to do an equation test. This is what happens. I have reservations on her claim that they wanted a bribe. Not fair because our Kenyan education system is quite credible.
One needs a KCPE number to register for KCSE. So it's not easy.
@@Sophie4621 exactly. One can not omit a stage. This is for accountability of all of their qualifications.
Bribe no way.We have international schools here ,but if you didn't do kcpe, you can't do kcse .Kenya kujipenda na education system
You pay 3k. Do a simple exam on maths, science, kisw and Eng. The book kcse the following year No bribes anywhere
20 years down the line in America state of New Jersey ....New Jersey is among expensive state but after two years thing want smooth
Which states are cheap?
Midwest states are cheaper but the wages are also low to balance out.

Knec can be tricky without a kcpe index.
Quick story I came to France while my host was my aunty but within a few weeks my aunty kicked me out.
But now am good but my advice is if someone is doing well in Kenya don't come to Western just stay in Kenya since I av seen pple who av sold there property to come here and they ended up frustrated since here in France documents are everything. Without documents you will not be good and you can't settle.
Wow! You have a story to tell…. Inbox me please @Essiewakago Fb we talk….
Sad this person went back but I guess she did not have the right guidance
my big question is kwani hakuna kazi ingine wakenya hupata n why? are we not up to the task or what, must it be if its school its nursing phew
The American system doesn't recognize higher education outside America so u just have to start from a common place
There are so many opportunities. No need to stick to nursing. I have no idea why Kenyans stick to this one profession even when they don't like it and it's not even fulfilling for them. There's more to life than just surviving to pay bills.
@@JulzMuya Exactly. It is unfortunately a herd mentality and most of these people are doing what other Kenyans who came before are doing. Most people are unwilling to be independent thinkers, particularly Africans...for some reason. There, I said it lol
