The requirements states 12 years equivalent to US standards but there is a second route using your work experience if it meets requirements.

Hello, I did high school (senior six) but I dint get good grades then later went for a Higher Education Certificate (One year), can I use this as my high school qualification ? ‘From Uganda’.
By higher education u mean the two years after high school
@@THEKARANJAS in Uganda we study Senior one to senior six that’s when you go to university.. but if you don’t have the two principal passes you can’t join university you should go back repeat s6 or go do a higher education certificate to act as your high school result so that you can join university..
It takes one year and after that’s when you join university if you’ve passed it.. Can I use this certificate ?

The deriavatives' visas are not among the 55000 but their visas are like the duplicate of the principal applicant that's why they cannot travel without the principal applicant.
My job is to tell you what is true , 55000 is all Dv visas available, including derivative. Whether u want the truth or rumors is up to you. Thanks though

I selected 'High School No Degree' during the initial application. Since the required qualification is Highschool Degree, Does it disqualify me?
No, they don't consider that during selection. It comes up on the interview time since if your work experience qualifies, then that is not a problem.

Hello my dear friends plz i want to ask a question if like u born in kanye back days like in 1974 and they never registered u how can u get burth certificate coz im not kenyan
You can go to huduma centers in Kenya and enquire since I believe u r kenyan by birth and you being older than 18 it will be a longer process.
But does it mean, if you apply from a country,that didn't have many applicants the chance of winning is low??

No that is possible when you explain about your financial limitations. Worse come to worse just let the principal applicant move first.

Hi,am new here...My son is turning 18 in December this year,can he fill on his own.
They don't say the minimum age as long by the time he is processing his visa he will not be a minor. So at the age he is he should be safe if he will have completed high school. He can try and also you can put him in yours as a dependent if he has not married yet.
My problem is that I don't have the person who will host me
Hosting is the last thing u want to worry abt first try ur luck soo many ppl are willing to host even strangers not to lose the chance.

Good day good people , you were talking about country category, that the chances of winning are less if there are less people applying , I'm in a country where very few people know about DV Lottery . like for dv 2024 I saw only 5 selectees from my country . what are the chances of winning if I'm from this country (Swaziland in Africa though )
So the thing is the more the people in your country play the higher the chances of getting the 7% cap per country, Country with many people playing also expect higher number of winners in that regional selection unlike the country with low players. Since the selection is done by Regional and not country. Hope this clears your question. Being in a low playing country doesn’t make it easier to win the only disadvantage is that low outcome will be expected depending on the input number of players.

It's advisable to prepare early but it's you can do it after being selected although if you don't get everything on time you risk visa denial.
I n wife we hv valid passport bt our two children don't hv, my question is lets say we are filling Ds260 is it a requirement for our children please advise...
At Ds 260 stage you need to have valid passport for all the members traveling with you. The form requires those details. Thanks

@@THEKARANJAS thanks and we truly appreciate all the info. I liked the explanation on how the selection is done on1/6 of each continent and how gaps are filled up with family members like parents. That was such a eye opener.
However im of the idea that in place of us sending our photos and you hv to scan all of them which is a tedious process why dont you send us one of your own showing the clarity needed then everyone can try and take a similar one.if that will be a more easy process

If I was in your situation I would fill the country where your kids are as an interview point so that we all go together at the same time.

No it doesn't the random selection is in regions/continents and they draw from the whole region.
So they say, for us without a highschool cert, we should forget about going to the Us?
No, we have done another video to explain more. Make sure you watch that one, and we have other ways that we will discuss in the coming days . Greencard lottery is not the only way.

So if you win and you were pregnant the second form offers a place to include the new born. When playing if you are pregnant you cannot count the unborn since you don’t have their details and photo yet. Thanks
