One thing that helps me get over empty space inside is that if main things like chairs and beds are able to be used by the villager like they would be your own character outside HHP then it's fine
A little tip if anyone wants to recreate this with custom designs, if you use the glow in the dark stickers and change it to a window custom design, you can use your partition walls as your back wall and use a landscape wallpaper as your accent and then cover the accent wallpaper with the custom design window to make it not seem so weird looking. Then you can make a custom “windowsill” using a plant box or those low lying counter things (if you know what I’m on about I dunno what the item is called xD)
Yeah, I use the glow in the dark stickers for so much. All the villagers on my island have huge windows with various scenes, or balconies with railings or stained glass. One of the best items the community figured out how to use so creatively.
I've done very little with HHP, other than the initial 20(?) builds. I wish there was an incentive to do more. I love the beach party that KK does, I got my groove on. 😂

I love doing the interiors. I'm the opposite. I think the exterior can be a bit harder. But I think you did really well. It's simple and flows. Love the color you used. I would agree with the others to use glow-in-the-dark stickers to add windows/doors. Would have bought out your accent wall.

I think it would be largely advantageous if we had some sort of color wheel to dynamically change, the hue of the items we’re trying to customize.
