Wonderful video and I so enjoy how Stuart is so enthralled with the menu and the food. I totally agree with him, the choices and quality of the food is second to none at sea.
Stuart and Christina, you add to the elegance of this beautiful ship and your editing is so concise! Love to see the enjoyment you obtain as you pass along such delightful commentary. The Compass Rose menu never disappoints and the Pacific Rim can be seen as your favorite. Carry on as we enjoy your professionalism. Stuart to enjoy that laundry service and Christina the addition you add to the ambiance. Best wishes from Marla and Gene☘️
hi, excellent overview! First we saw your video of the Explora (we cruising next year for 2 weeks with Explora 2 in the Mediterranean) and for december 2026 we booked.... a ten days cruise starting in Miami called 'treasures of Belize' with Regent Grandeur! We looking forward to both!
OMG Another fantastic video! The entire video had a smile on my face just listening to Stewart talking about the food. I was just laughing remembering Stewart talking about the "Finest cuisine at sea" from Oceania and that video vs this. I want to go on RSS so bad. Looking at 2026 or for sure 2027 for our 25th wedding anniversary. Cheers!
Another excellent review. I love your relaxed but informative style. A pleasure to watch & makes me look forward with longing to our Grandeur experience but sadly not until 2026……….but Seabourn & QM2 to NYC before that. Looking forward to the second instalment
What a great report and what a fantastic cruise - thank you for sharing. The ship is incredible. Apologies if I missed it during your video, but sharing the cost would be helpful - not only to understand what a cruise costs but also the premium over more 'standard' cruise lines.
We have just watched your Grandeur video - very jealous! We were on Splendor in August and we loved it so much that we have booked to go on it again next April.
This ship looks absolutely gorgeous , and that Compass Rose restaurant is off the scale !! Wow 😳 Our next cruise is on Silver Nova , these Regent ships however look a real tempting proposition. Look forward to the next video instalment. Excellent Stuart and Christina. 😍⛴️
Another great cruise video you and Stuart have done from the Regent Grandeur! Awesome review as usual. My wife and I were on the Grandeur in Feb 2024. Was so awesome, as is the Splendor and Explorer. We are back on the Explorer (for the 2nd time) in late May 2025 for 14 nights in Alaska! Can’t wait! Christina YOU are definitely the “Lady Grandeur” of the Seas for sure! We just returned from 2 weeks on the Silversea “Silver Ray”. I can provide you a review if you would like. The ship is beautiful, but with a lot of “vacant” space all around. And, the food quality was not up to par in my opinion as it used to be when owned by the Italian family, prior to Royal Caribbean acquiring Silversea. Definitely food quality was not near Regent variety and quality. Again thanks for another great quality video and review!
Thanks Charles you are so charming and always full of wonderful praise ❤️ Interesting about the Silver Ray, we are definitely going to get onboard and do a vlog on it soon. Regent is hard to beat! Thanks again, really appreciate your wonderful feedback ❤️❤️ C x
The food looks amazing! You're only a couple of days in at this point though and you're having to forgo a soufflé in favour of a sorbet as you're so full. Worried for you both...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Enjoyed your review on the Grandeur! We sailed on the Splendor this past March, true five star experience, just got off the Mariner a few weeks back (old ship with old infrastructure will be totally updated in November 2025) still enjoyed as food and service consistently very good and look forward to the Explorer in March 2025 to Asia. Your comments on Canada's liquor distribution on board cruise ships while docked in a Canadian port peaked my interest. Being a proud Canadian I was not aware this to be true so I investigated and guess what....? I know our liquor laws are somewhat "Draconian" but this is ridiculous! Only one bar on each deck on the ship at anytime can be open while the ship is in port? So the answer maybe to dock twelve nautical miles out to sea and open them all up and go nuts! No kidding twelve nautical miles is the regulation. Look forward to sailing the Grandeur, thank you for your excellent thorough review!
Love Regent, still our number 1!! Maybe we need to lobby the Canadian government to get the law changed, it could put people off going!! 😂👏🏼 Thanks for watching 🙏🏼😊
I enjoy your videos and your presentation style! I would love to see your thoughts with a comparison from Seabourn, Silversea and Regent. (especially the food!) I have seen videos with you enjoying Seabourn and Regent, but a direct comparison of all three (unless I missed it?) would be great! We won't be on our first cruise on the Silversea Silver Nova until 2026.
Thanks for the comments! ❤️ It’s a video we’ve been planning for a while so I’m sure it will be released soon! Just need to get on Silversea now so we can make the comparison..
You produced a gorgeous video of a magnificent ship. What I kept asking myself was: given Seabourn’s understated elegance next to this stunning beauty, what makes you still sail Seabourn?
@@cruiseforever1281 We love Regent and we love Seabourn too, but they are different. Regent wins on dining, Seabourn wins on events and a more laid back vibe, oh and of course the caviar!😂 Both have great service. Love Regent for included excursions in excursion heavy destinations eg Japan/Canada, Seabourn is wonderful cruising Greece and the Mediterranean in summer. Love them both equally for different reasons ❤️❤️🥂
@@theposhtravelblog I love how different people are. One of the things I don’t like about Regent is the prepaid excursions. I don’t like going on group tours so take private ones. Therefore, on region I’m paying for something I’m not interested in. And then I have found that Seabourn does a fantastic job of booking my private tours and getting me fabulous people. Just watched Tips for Travelers review of ships. If you haven’t already watched it you might find it interesting.
Stuart and Christina, what a beautiful insight into the elegance of cruising with Regent on the Grandeur. Mike and I enjoyed your review of ” The Autumn Joy” cruise in Canada and amazing US east coast ports. We were blessed to see you create this well crafted travel presentation. Can’t wait for part 2.

Hi. I follow your blog occasionally. It seems that recently you have enjoyed your cruises on Regent, but after Japan, you still ranked Seaborn higher due to their cabin comfort. I know that on the Grandeur you are on a slightly lower category cabin. I am currently currently on splendor in a concierge suite which has at least all of the comfort that a Seaborn cruise had for us, but much better inclusions. Incredible tours, no having to buy a spa package, and more selection of restaurants. Do you still hold by your Seaborn being highest rated after your second regent cruise? Thank you, from a future planner.
Hi Brenda, thanks for your message and for watching. Regent is number one for us, and superior to Seabourn, especially the dining options. We are currently on Crystal Serenity, and are really enjoying it, it’s a really lovely cruise and very elegant. Video to follow soon.. ❤️
Excellent video. You both always look so well put together. Looking forward to doing the Mexican Riviera on the Grandeur over New Years. Since you have traveled on so many different cruise lines, do you find a close comparison in the ultra-luxury experience on any other lines?
@@susan3831 Hi Susan, thanks so much, glad you liked it! Just working on part 2 so that will be out in the next couple of days. We sailed on the Grandeur last March and signed up for our tours prior to sailing. Please clarify that this is an option. I am not sure why you didn't sign up early?? In your SB Encore report you used the term '6 Star cruising. I did suggest to you that Encore didn't warrant this type of accolade as it was 4 star at best. I've just returned after 6 weeks on Encore. Your response was that it was a 6 star product so we'll agree to disagree. Given you rate Encore as 6 star cruising, can you give your star rating on Regent so a comparison can be drawn. Thanks
Hi Keith, agree with you on some of your points about Seabourn, but it is advertised and classed as a 6* product and they do serve caviar and champagne plus all the cabins are suites. However Regent is a cut above and is also classed as 6*, so we must have a 6*+ and a 6*!!
@@theposhtravelblog I don't see how SB that was 6 star in the past, is still classified with so many stars given the reduction in services. 6 weeks on Encore. Afternoon tea now 3 times a week and not every day. No galley market visit, Seabourn Sq now closing at 6pm, 'Keller' ribs in the Collonade, once in 6 weeks, no fresh bread served at restaurant, incredibly low value included wines with Mateus Rose back. Gastronomic event on last night never happened, Replaced with a crew salute only. But if the definition of 6 star revolves around the inclusion of champagne and caviar then sure. Seeing the recent Grand Voyage promotion, 28 days Barcelona to Cape Town for £5k on Sojourn suggests that the downward spiral will continue as this price is not sustainable to support a premium product.
