Haven't sailed the Oceania Serena, but just finished an absolutely awesome trip on Oceania Vista. Stunning in beauty and service! The food was extraordinarily outstanding. Really looking forward to sailing with Oceania again.

It's not an all-inclusive cruise. You have to pay for excursions (except on expedition cruises).

I just booked at 12 night cruise around Thailand and Vietnam, starting Singapore to HK in November 2025. I got a Concierge room, classic drinks package, basic WiFi, $150 credit for £1600 per person (2 people). Seems a bit of a bargain this was through my agent who gets me fantastic deals. So I was wondering what this classic package gave me, it looks better than expected to be honest, beers, Monkey Shoulder and Kraken are all great. Thanks for the info. How do you upgrade online before you go if I wanted to do that? No option offered just full price drink packages?

Mixed feelings. I've always found The Restaurant and Colonnades sufficiently varied so won't be too disappointed if Solis is not up to scratch.

Hi, love you videos which my wife and myself find very informative. We are taking our first HAL cruise shortly and I'm planning on adding the "Have it All" package to our 28 day cruise before we embark the ship, however I've heard that it's better valuer to buy once on board. Not sure if this is completely accurate though and I'd be interested to hear if you have any thoughts on this For example to buy now in September 2024 it's £55 pp per day I believe once on board the cost is $65 pp per day (approx £49 given exchange rate variables). That's a reasonable saving and worth having if it's like for like but I'm not sure if this is completely accurate though and I'd be interested to hear what your thoughts are,

We're sailing with them Jan 25. Not looking forward to it because I'm a foodie and was attracted by their trademark "Finest cuisine at sea". They're part of the NCL group and we sailed NCL Jewel and the food was below average. It sounds like they are cost cutting across the board. Just paid too. Ho hum

Good to see your reviews on all your travels getting better as times go on! What would be really good as I normal watch TH-cam on my big TV if you could broadcast is 4K to truly enjoy the experience as it’s really lacking in picture quality, just a suggestion on my part:)

Brochure looks good so does the ship. Avg food? They are stingy on the booze, historically sailors got a ration of a gallon of beer a day FFS! Almost a dry cruise.

One thing I love about Regent, aside from the excellent cocktails, in the consistency. You can order the same drink at any bar or restaurant on the ship, lunch or dinner, and it will be the same high quality beverage. Never weak, not too boozy, just right!

We have our first Seabourn cruise coming up soon in the Med. Love your channel and have learned so much. I must say you both always look so fabulous at dinner - however, I'm beginning to feel that I'm gong to feel very underdressed at dinners. You seem to go all out for dress at dinner. While I don't mind wearing a jacket occasionally, I'm not a dinner jacket every night kind of guy. I must admit I'm feeling a bit anxious that I won't feel relaxed but stressed about dress code.

My husband and I were on the Explorer Alaska cruise 3weeks ago. We loved it 🇨🇦⛴️ we stayed in the Grand Suite and the best vacation ever! This was our first cruise. True Magic 🎉 we upgraded when offered via email. Well worth the upgrade if possible.

Great video, very informative....brought back loads of memories of summers on Greek Islands and it's only just outside Athens, who knew? Well you did.

One more question for you. Did you have dinner at the sushi venue? We love sushi and are hoping this venue is worth visiting.

Are they going cheapskate. Not a French wine in sight on the 'free list. Their Champagne is drinkable but nothing special. Neither are regular cruisers (Gold and upward) offered anything better, Veuve-Cliquot for example. I haven't seen drinks offered around the pool for at least 3 years; on my last cruise (admittedly half empty) the Sky bar was frequently unmanned.

Getting your camera work to slow down is a challenge. Keep working on it!

Loved your Vlog the humour the beautiful Ionian islands the ship never looks too crowded would love to try Seabourne but the prices are high for solo travellers thank you for Sharing enjoyed the journey you are both such wonderful hosts 😊 Keep up the good work

Hello Stuart and Christina! Like yourselves I am an avid traveler and have quite enjoyed many of your videos. So nice to see such positivity and joy. In the past year we have traveled on Regent to Alaska, Windstar to Tahiti, and Royal Caribbean in a grand suite NY to Caribbean. Your Seabourn video in the Greek Islands was quite relevant as we are departing next week for 2 weeks on the Encore (our first on Seabourn) Athens to Venice and are very excited. I have a very mundane question that I have had quite a bit of trouble getting answered by Seabourn and my extensive online research. That question is: when visiting a port, how long before sail away must one board the ship? Seems simple but I just cannot nail this detail down. I have some shore excursions which might make things a little tight depending on time of last call to board. So for example, if port time is 8 AM - 5 PM what time is final boarding for that 5 PM sail away? Any light you could shed on this would be most appreciated . Please continue posting your lovely videos and I hope we run in to you during future travels. Best, Greg

Dog with a bone……we have been on 4 Oceania cruises, going on our 5th next September….food has excellent. Service was great. All cruises on Regatta and Sirena. Next cruise on Mariana

Checking out this ship because its doing a round the world cruise January 2025. I'm deciding whether to do it or not as its calling at St Helena in the South Atlantic Ocean, an island on my bucket list. I'm a solo traveller and a little concerned with my single supplements.

REMEMBER! This is a review of one of Oceania's small fleet of ships which may not measure up to the larger, more upscale, newer and larger Oceania ships. I hear these people mention "lovely"; "beautiful", etc...several times. This is really more of a "foodie" review. I have heard comments about the Grand Dining Room food as not as tasty as the specialty restaurants serve.I'd like to hear what they'd say about one of the newer, larger Oceania ships (Vista, Allure) or Marina or Riviera. That might be a fairer comparison to other lines they mentioned.

Literally just returned from Seabourn cruise. We had the worst embarkation welcome ever, found a pair of man's underpants on the floor of our suite, average food, average staff, but, the nicest passengers we've ever met on a cruise. The highlights we have unfortunately don't involve Seabourn.

I went on Oceania for the first time on the Oceania Regatta PH1 Cabin no less.. first and last time on Oceania.. we were on the Regatta Australia to French Polynesia in Feb/March 2023.. i was so looking forward to the food as you say.. oh so disappointed .. the food was NOT consistent at all.. the customer service is non existent.. seriously.. not going to go thru our experience with Customer Service because theirs nothing to go thru.. it’s literally non existent.. 9 months after the cruise we get email from travel agent.. Oceania offered a 500.00 future cruise credit.. are you serious.. the cruise was not cheap .. I just can’t be bothered to accept the 500.00 what would that cover at their prices.. 1/4 of a day for one.. to get food that you can’t even eat and force you to go hunt for edible food? Seriously so many better options out there.. do yourself a favor.. spend a couple bucks more and go for Seaborn or save a fair bit and book a Celebrity Retreat class Cabin.. Its food far surpasses Ocean in every sense.. Luminae food is what a claim for Best Food At Sea should be associated with not Oceania in any way.

Congratulations on 10k! I am proud to be an early adopter. It would be nice to see the menus held up to the camera for 3 seconds. Those (like me) who are interested in reading the entire menu, can pause at that point to read it entirely.

Hi. Do you think the title is correct in terms of 6 * Luxury? I have sailed SB a few times like yourself but have not sailed the other 'premium' lines and therefore cannot draw a comparison. My observation is therefore only my experience with SB. Over the past 3 years, there appears to have been a significant cost-cutting exercise across the brand. Whilst the crew are always brilliant and a core reason we repeat sail with them, there appears to be significant staff cuts that leave them working incredibly long shifts. You must have experienced the same server in breakfast in the Collonade that becomes a server in the restaurant in the evening and then a drinks server in the Grand Salon. You go to The Club for a nightcap and there they are! How they keep their wonderful service attitude I don't know. However and this is no criticism of them, it can lead to slow service. There physically aren't enough staff when the ship is sailing at, or near passenger capacity and the ships are busy. You mentioned in this report rejecting the wine at dinner. You made a good point that you can ask for other options. However, the included wine options are becoming more inferior with every restock. The rose wine on the Encore has been replaced with Mateus Rose which retails for £5 ($7) in Tesco a UK supermarket. I suspect the other included wines will be in the same price bracket. Is this the wine of a '6 star; cruise line? The upselling is becoming more regular. Special champagne events, malt and aged whisky tastings plus the retreat dinner that you experienced. Personally, I would not pay $250 for a meal I have already paid for. Hopefully, it won't be photographers next! Your experience in Solis does not match my own. However given your observation that apart from one main course, having experienced the new restaurant concept 4 times, it has not lived up to 6 star expectations. Given your extensive experience across SB and other lines therefore do you think that SB is still a 6 star product?

IMO, Seabourn has two big advantages over Oceania and Regent. (1) with all the special events, deck parties, etc, it is WAY more fun for us 70+ year-olds. (2) Seabourn ships have at least 3 public outdoor decks in front, including an open bow, and at least 3 public outdoor decks in the aft. On O and R, it’s hard to find any comfortable place outdoors, forward or aft.

Enjoyed watching… we just booked today on Splendor. Normally do Silversea and did Japan last year on the Muse…. You shoulda used the Osaka metro to get around. The “amazing Osaka” pass is, erm, amazing! The Osaka big wheel is free along with so much stuff. We booked 2 nights pre cruise. On boarding day, decided after breakfast to take the Shinkensen to Kyoto. Can’t wait to go back to Japan. Going to Shanghai in November so looking forward to that.
