I hate nepotism! Brent Venables son was a 2 star recruit yet he's the starting linebacker for Clemson. The kid is god awful and probably couldn't start for Charleston southern.

He missed a wide open Mayer a LOT against BC as well. Thankfully he had other guys open, but yikes, Justin Fields doesn't miss wide open guys like that

Like TL w as s sick. I think it was a plot to get DJ playing time. Knowing they'd handle BC and knowing they'd face ND again or maybe not. Personally I don't know what more TL could have done that Uiagelelei didn't do. Maybe holding ball to long in 2OT but there was no play. ND left easy 15 points on the field Two RZ trips both ending in short FGs, then Book fumbles into EZ. Both teams healthy and the same ND team playing that way, hungry, it's another 50/50 leaning towards the team that makes less mistakes. No mistakes, perhaps they score on etienne fumble drive. But ND scores on Book Fumble no false start on the 1yd line or close, I really don't see a healthy Clemson snlmacking ND around, ND destroyed the trenches, Book stacked once.

ND did have to play uphill inspite of mistakes and it took 2 OTs to seal it. Not a Tigers fan but I hope irish fans aren't too deflated if Clemson beats ND down next time, like Alabama did M. T'eo in the NC.
