- Clemson dominated the 2020 ACC Football Championship Game to win their 6th straight title, 34-10 over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 322 yards and 2 touchdowns, and rushed for 90 yards and another touchdown in the win. Clemson running back Travis Etienne rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Amari Rodgers caught 8 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown for Clemson. The Tigers defense sacked Irish quarterback Ian Book 6 times. The Notre Dame offense was stymied, with the lone touchdown belonging to running back Chris Tyree on a 21-yard rush.

For first 13 minutes of game, Notre Dame actually looked the part.

As per standard, the real Clemson NFL franchise shows up when it counts. Every single year Clemson gives it's superstars a weekend off so some hapless ACC foe can actually give them a game. It's all smoke and mirrors as Dabo knows his Tigers will always get ticket to dance because ACC sucks. Clemson wins lackluster Natty this year because unlike them, Ohio State and Bama can't keep players around for 5 years. Having the referees as your neighbor also doesn't hurt as Dabo found that out last year against Ohio State.

Bearcats have experience, speed, swagger with playmakers everywhere and their QB is outstanding! I've seen all their games and they are the real deal! During most years, nobody from that Conference could hope to match up but this is one of those off years where a certain team gets the hot hand at the right time and right now, they are red hot! This is why I want an 8 team playoff. I'm a huge fan of Buckeye QB Justin Fields but his team overall, CANNOT line up with Clemson.

He'll be back home in Alabama when Saban retires. If he leaves a school with a schedule that guarantees ten wins a season, he is a very brave man. At Alabama the schedule wont always be so soft, as they found out when they caught LSU in an up cycle. Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Georgia are capable of What LSU did too. Swinney is not a coach, but he can pick assistants as good as anybody and the fact that they only have to show up for ten of their twelve games to win does not hurt either.

Bama had injuries to key players all over their defense in 2018, how did Clemson fair against a good but not championship caliber Notre Dame without multiple key players on defense this season they lost and gave up 40+ points. Playing without 4 or 5 defensive starters makes a big difference. When Clemson has met a healthy legit team in the playoffs they've not been successful lately. Bama 2017 24-6 L, LSU 2019 42-25 L, Ohio State 2020 49-28 L, the only win against a fairly healthy team was Ohio State in 2019 but I'm not sure they win that game without a JK Dobbins injury and some fortunate officiating that changed the momentum of that game.

Not just Trevor. The defense was the difference. The pass coverage was great. The d line played smarter and kept Ian Book corralled. It’s not just Trevor. DJ played well enough to win that last game.
I mean we love Trevor and there was some difference with his ability to run but we had 4-5 defensive starters out the last game including our Mike Linebacker who is a beast

ND and the media made a huge mistake by claiming that ND beat the Tigers in South Bend. They beat the second team, barely. They met the first team in Charlotte today...they definitely do not deserve a playoff spot, A&M is better. Ohio State doesn’t either but I relish the prospect of the Tigers playing the Buckeyes; 40 to 3

When your 170 LB 5'9 H-Back levels a linebacker yet your 330 LB #72 O-Tackle chips the defensive tackle to the inside and steps BEHIND the foot of his own guard, causing him to trip, all while getting beat on the outside anyhow by the defensive end. He caused a sack in two different ways.

Clemson proved to be a better team. Still ND.s defense in the second half was impressive. With their offense being controlled, they kept the game from really getting ugly. I don,t think Clemson will see a defense this good in the playoffs.

Clemson fan here. Clemson is a better team when healthy, though since there was more at stake for Clemson, I think they were more motivated this game. I'm not saying Notre Dame didn't try and of course they wouldn't admit such, but they knew they were likely to be in the CFP even with a loss. I believe they did play hard, though there's just another level when your season is on the line like it was with Clemson. If they wouldn't happen to meet a 3rd time for the Natty with all on the line, Clemson is still better, though maybe not 24 points better. IMO.

This game is so typical of Notre Dame's ethical fiber. The game is over by the start of the 4th-quarter... Clemson starts pulling their starters to give the backups an opportunity to play. Notre Dame keeps their starters in the game in a feeble effort to minimize their embarrassing loss. Notre Dame should have emptied their bench!!

I think the refs are ruining it in both leagues. BS call on targeting on Clemson and a block in the back by OSU on a kick off or punt. Hate to see these kids have to play 1/2 way. My Opinion is Clemson was the only team that would beat Alabama. After last night I sure hope that OSU isn’t a one trick pony like ND. 3 times ND had the ball driving and they came away with 3 points. Can’t beat a powerhouse like Clemson that way.
The CFSF choice boiled down to ND or Texas A&M in the playoff. I believe that ND was chosen because Texas A&M was beaten by Alabama 52-24, a 28 point difference while Alabama never played ND yet. Thus ND might be a better competitor to face Alabama. Also, Alabama isn't invincible. Look at last night's result where Bama almost lost to Florida but held on finally at 52-46. The reason ND lost last night was because of #20 on ND defense who was outwitted and was inept in defending against passes which led to 2 Clemson touchdowns. ND defense finally wised up and kept Clemson in check in the 2nd half. Clemson's defense was too good last night also, but then, unknown to many, the ND offensive line weren't all healthy coming into South Carolina.
I would have moved A& M to 3 and kept Ohio State at 4. That loss A&M suffered was early in the year. The ND loss was at the end. I do not believe a team that gets blown out like that deserves to be in the playoffs.

I'm a Notre Dame fan but.........we will never win another National Championship if we continue to only recruit 3 and 4 star players and try to develop them. We must go after the 5 star recruits who are ranked in the top 100. Brian Kelly is a good coach who settles on the 3 and 4 star players whom just can't compete with the elite talent of teams like Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama.

When editing videos for condensed games, don't show replays of almost every play; you can literally get every play in the game into a shorter video by cutting out the pointless repetition.
