Yes. My opinion is that the playing is thoughtful, very smooth and soft. It is a pleasure to listen to.
The final bars are absolutely thunderous in the finale. Everyone is in perfect time, yet playing SO fast. I love it so much

Superlativa versión!!! Un genio interpretando a otro. C. Kleiber demostró que se puede ofrecer un Mozart fresco, colorido, lleno de gracia y sin renunciar a la enorme expresividad y musicalidad que esconden los pentagramas mozartianos. Toda una bofetada en la cara a ciertas versiones historicistas que pecan de asperezas innecesarias y que aunque técnicamente son perfectas muestran un gran distanciamiento expresivo, por ejemplo Hogwood. Al mismo tiempo otra bofetada en la cara hacia aquellas versiones opulentas llenas de excesos románticos, carentes de frescura y transperencia, por ejemplo el último Karajan.
In the historical versions there is Bruggen who is for me clearly above the others in this symphony, he is celestial and even metaphysical ( one feels that it was Furtwangler his great inspiration )

@@Sofronichrist I actually prefer Mackerras to Kleiber in this symphony and mind you: I love kleiber. Especially the inner movements are a bit too heavy and slow with kleiber IMO and mackerras’ interpretation is just perfect
Excellente analyse, Kleiber un génie, et Mozart un génie encore plus transcendant, quelle sublime et divine version qui annule presque toutes les autres avec les merveilleux Wiener Philarmoniker en état de grâce comme toujours avec un tel chef d'orchestre

Carlos Kleiber had his style and this is a more modern Mozart. Notes are nicely linked and strings are dominant force.
This is for me the best version of the Linz symphony.

Yeah, Bohm was one of the great mozartians, but to me Klemperer was the real deal
