  • In this flight, we fly the AviationFix 1979 Piper Cherokee 6/300 to Port Clinton, Ohio (KPCW). However, a direct flight would be pretty boring so we decided to do some island sightseeing first! We hope you enjoy this longer less edited flight too! In this video we actually flew the airplane for its annual inspection, so we wanted to get another video filmed before we couldn't (we apologize for the shaky panel footage). As always, thanks for watching!

I enjoy your excellent videos very much. During my flying days (I soloed in 1963!) I flew out of Wadsworth airport and went to the old Sandusky airport and the islands many times. It brings back a lot of memories for me. I would also fly to the Ashland airport on Sunday mornings for their fly in breakfast. Your Cherokee Six is a beautiful airplane!

I love seeing your videos. I happened to stumble across your channel a while back. I actually used to own 2905B. Great airplane, glad it found a good home.

Can you tell me what you guys are seeing for typical true airspeed in cruise and also your fuel flow? Great videos.

Glad you enjoy the videos! Indicated is about 145 knots and true is ~ 155 knots. Fuel burn is about 17-18gph in cruise.

Where you guys at 5A1 Norwalk the other day? That is where I and N3899W are based and I thought I saw your plane there the other day. Also there are a couple of great groups on FaceBook for PA32. The first is Piper PA-32 (Six, Saratoga, & Lance) Owners & Pilots and the other is Ohio Pilots. A third one is Piper PA-32 Cherokee six it doesn't have as many members and is not as active as the other two. The first group being very active and informative..

We sure were! We fly over there to get fuel every once in a while! You’ll have to come over next time you see us and chat. We haven’t really thought about joining a Facebook group... great idea! Thanks!

AviationFix Cool. 5A1 does have one of the better prices for fuel around. My office is in the big hangar to the right of the FBO building so I get to see the planes coming in and out all day. My business isn't aviation related but the office space is cheap and can't beat the view...lol and it keeps me close to my Six in the hangar space next door. The first group I mentioned is very active and most of the time they are very friendly. :-) Some other TH-camrs are in that group too like Eric Haase (SoCal Flying Monkey), Eddie Cardentay (Flying with kids) and Savannah Raskey (TheSavyTravler), all PA32 drivers.
