Excellent job on the video. Helps me get the most out of my 4000 series card. I will point out that, for MWIII, when the game updates, it will replace the new dlss and dlssg files. Also replaces when the GPU driver is updated. If you use NVCleanstall to create your Official nvidia GPU Driver, and install that, there is an option where a message will appear on your in-game screen telling you which DLSS version you are running. It just helps you to know and verify that you are running the newest version of DLSS. That is an option for those who wish to pursue it.
Yes always check DLSS version after a game update. Usually, drivers won't mess with game folders but is safe to check anyway.
So you can get the new ray reconstruction features for cyberpunk and other games now or will that only work once the phantom liberty driver/dlc drops?
RR will come this fall but you'll still get frame gen on 4000 series cards now.

Is it possible to use frame gen in games that officially do not support fg but support older versions dlss?
Only games that support FG will have it enabled. Could there be a hack? Maybe.

Yes. DLSS is game specific with game devs deciding IF and what version of DLSS to use in their games. If a game supports DLSS then you can experiment with the file versions.

Yes. Some games don't react well to it. Some do just fine.
ok i dont uinderstand how but i have 3060 and checking dlssg and dlss both already have latest version which are availbale on website. so how and what should i do to enable fg if its possible or i m just getting too exicted about that
Frame Gen is for 4000 series cards unfortunately.

So I have a rtx4070ti. My game folder has both dlss and dlssg files. Do I update both or just the dlssg?
You can do both. It's okay to experiment.

does this work for RDR2? whenever I try to update the Rockstar launcher deletes the new one and redownloads the old .dll file

Didn’t work for me if I have the ability to enable ray reconstruction do I already have it was that already there for version 3?
Only a few games support RR at the moment. If the game supports it, it will provide the file and you can try new versions from techpowerup at that time.

@@trollstechokay so I have version 3.1 if I just follow the video will I have 3.5 because I tried it already but I used the 3.5 Ray reconstruction version I couldn’t use DLSS after that so I deleted it
@@rovosunny1687 Yeah you need to use the regular dlss file nvngx_dlss.dll if you're just trying to use DLSS without RR.

That sounds like your file association for .zip files is set wrong. You could download 7zip and open it as it is. or Go to Settings > Apps > Default apps and select Choose default apps by file type.
Go to Control Panel > Programs > Make a file type always open in a specific program or Default Programs > Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
Right-click the Start button and choose Settings > Apps > Default apps > Choose default apps by file type.
Select a file type in the list and click Change Program.
i have a 3080 and if i download the dlssg version does it work?
No, DLSSG is for 4000 series cards. Sorry.
I have done it with watch dogs legion,but it's graphics got pixelated.
You may have to experiment with different versions.
@@trollstech I have tried simple 3.5 dlss version. Now it is quite good,but something is still stuttering there
@@motion69 Try experimenting with low latency modes in the nvidia drivers control panel. Also, that is a game you want VYSNC ON for the smooothest game play.

@@motion69 Gotcha. Yeah try low latency on, off, turbo. and see if that resolves the stutter issue. Also trim your ssd/nvme if you are using one.
It doesn't work with rdr2 because I do what you say, but it does work with dlss2 because rdr does not support dlss3 but it has an old dlss2, 2.10 and I want 2.5 the newest but as soon as I start the game and look again that new file is there. from 2.5 adjusted back to the old one?
Some games are absolutely DLSS locked by the game devs.
I just copied those files from cyberpunk to rdr2 😂 let's see how they work. CP had dlssG 3.1.0 and rdr2 don't support ray tracing I think 😂 idk...game is still running fine tho with dlss turned onn

@@trollstech it didn't work ig coz fps was 20. I downloaded from that site and man oh man it looks so great now with 45-60 fps 😀. Even cyberpunk went from dlss balanced to quality at 1440p (although idk how this big gap happened)

@@trollstech So I've tried it with many games, like Lords of the Fallen, Lego Fortnite, Forza Horizon 5, Crew Motorsport.... none of these games are running better. I'm very confused.

is dlss 3.5 only working on rtx ? or does it work on older gpu's like gtx 1060
DLSS 3.5 works on all RTX cards, sub DLSS files are as follows: DLSS = RTX Series 2000 and 3000 cards DLSSG = RTX Series 4000 cards. Sorry no support for 10xx series cards.
Can i update it directly from Nvidia experience tho??

@@jsostick I would bet money that you could not however. DLSS is for game devs to decide what version to ship, support and update the game with. nvidia just provides the tools and innovation for dlss on a hardware and api level.

@@trollstech I found the file , had to search the file in game folder and I have rtx 3070 so I think dlss 3 is not for my gpu
@@NERO18_ You're good. DLSS is a game specific support option. Your card will run everything except frame generation.

How do you update the nvngx_dlss.dll on a pc which game (MSFS 2020) came from the MS store? When I search my C drive for nvngx_dlss.dll, the search does not yield the file or files installed. Could they be hidden?
It's possible. I have read that DLSS Swapper has allowed updates for some people with MSFS.
@@trollstech im struggling here, the msfs folder doesnt give me the permissions to paste a new file in there, I tried changing the security settings and ownership privilages but it wont let me do it. DLSS Swapper also will not run, it just doesnt open on my pc.
@@alheeley I'm assuming you have admin rights on the pc. If you bought MSFS through Windows Store, you may not be able to access those files due to DRM. There are ways around it you may have to google.
@@trollstech Yep - admin rights, and its msfs from the store, I spent a few hours googling and watching related videos but so far the suggestions for ways round it have not worked for me.
