Even those who don't play baseball know how talented one must be to get a chance to bat on the major league's batter's box and pitch on that mound, but Ohtani managed to do them all by himself. On top of that, he's also got great personality. Inspirational player with phenomenal talents.

Ohtani is a breath of fresh air in a sport that was becoming an upper middle aged mens sport…With new younger generation bringing new energy and speed, this sport hopefully will get it’s much needed renaissance. It doesn’t hurt that Ohtani is an ideal role model for kids with discipline, respect and good demeanor on the ground. Being a star and a gentleman makes him special. ⚾️⚾️⚾️👍🏻

He is!!!!! I agree with you completely. That is exactly how i feel too. He makes baseball so much fun to watch. I've went to games where the stadium is filled with families, kids, young and old people wearing different Jerseys but all cheer for Shohei!!! It was amazing!!!!

I've been a baseball fan for over 45 years and I've seen a lot of great players come and go but like shohei ohtani never have this guy's amazing this man is something else congratulations to the Japanese people they have the best player I've ever seen in my life

@@Jsalcedo23 you value batting average that much more than everything else? If you took the names away I think you'd like the top season more. The OPS+ is what I'm looking at here, and Sr.'s is actually discounted by other guys being on roids...but anything above 170 puts you top 5 in pretty much every season since 2000, which is all I'm trying to say here. 2020 had some insanely high ones, but it was covid shortened...other than that there are the Bonds seasons that are in another stratosphere, Trout being around 190 a couple of times, Bryce in 2015...and then a handful of seasons close to where Vlad is right now.
Another fun fact: In this game against the Rockies at 5:24, Ohtani stole second after they kept trying to pick him off multiple times, and he ended up scoring a run to help himself.

I was here for a work function. It was this game makes me Shohei's and Angels" fan. Something that my friend failed to convince me to be for years. It was just amazing to watch!!

I agree he is more then capable of putting up the greatest season any player has ever played. But I will not agree he will be considered "The G.O.A.T" at the age off 33 with at this pace 1,100 hits. Maybe the best player of the decade! But if he wants to be the goat its gonna take more then 5 years...Especially if he can somehow avoid major injury! It doesn't help he throws right and bats left. One fastball up an in that hits his throwing wrist it could damn well be over for him. Hope it doesn't happen...but he's tackling something that an injury is Very likely and he likes to steal bags to boot.

I'm glad the MLB is giving some shine to this part of his game, but even more impressive are his infield singles, the singles he legs out into doubles, and the doubles he stretches into triples. Wish they had those too.

The guy is not only talented but he is respectful and polite. Just look at how apologetic he looks at times after dusting himself off. You can be competitive and sporting at the same time.
Not sure why Ohtani get so many unfair strike calls that is far out of strike zone when he is batting. Almost at least once a game on live TV for audience to see. Shouldn't the game be fair and square?
There was an article a while back that stated that white umpires make unfair calls more often for non white players compared to white players, so plain old racism.
I've also noticing this. It becomes a pattern for me to expect at least one bad call when he is at bat and multiple when he is at the mound.
Yeah just like last night’s game against the Yankees. Pitch was outside of the strike zone and Ohtani was called out on strikes
@@nickmaster2854 i saw that too!! That was at least a ball and a half away from the strike zone. Fun fact: the same ump hit on the shoulder from one of the pitch :x.
Joe Carter of the Blue Jays back in the 90s always told his teammates that they have to play better than the 13-15 guys on the field... the 9 opposing players and the 4-6 umps depending on if they made the postseason.
This notion makes things even more phenomenal that Shohei Ohtani has been able to do what he's doing.
