From a bride to be, this took too long so I had to skim... 1. Don’t change your skincare before the Wedding 2. Don’t lost your hair extensions 3. Have live music during ceremony 4. Allow more time to greet guests during dinner 5. Eat your late night snacks if you’re providing
Wow what took you two so long? That's great that you married your high school sweetheart. I just recently found and met again my HS sweetheart after 40 some years. He was so surprised to hear from me. We are friends for now and keep in touch. We never forgot about each other.
I’m married! As of last month 🎉🎉🎉we planned our wedding to have as much time to say hello to each guest and I’m so glad we did! People really appreciated it and it was special to us. I do have to completely disagree about the live band. Our DJ was amazing at reading the crowd and everyone loved hearing various genres. It ended up being like a club rather than a wedding and it was the most fun part of the night.
Infinitely ASMR i feel the same way about a DJ! live bands are cool but I personally would rather hear my favorite songs rather than covers of them and people have a unique reaction when they hear a song they love come on! it’s not the same when it’s a cover
I’ve been Married for 39 yrs!! And getting stronger and stronger every day! ☺️ 🙏Amen, Thank You Jesus!! 👍😍😌 You and your Mom Rebecca are so Awesome! ❤️ Love the Interior Designs and your moms backyard makeover design! Gorgeous!👍😊
Not married or engaged, but my boyfriend of 3 years and I have been talking for quite some time about tying the knot in the coming years. I’ve been binging wedding videos recently and yours is so helpful!
My thoughts exactly. I’m recently engaged 😍🥰 and as I peruse the wedding websites “the knot, WeddingWire” the numbers are astonishing! We have also began house hunting so number crunching for each has been cringing.
I've been married for many decades now and I would have taken that money, 5K or so, and used it to buy a house or condo back then. A wedding is just a very small part of a day. A marriage is a lifetime and I'd have rather spent our money on a home.
My husband and I just did the same thing:) we got married in our living room on Mother’s Day. The best part is that none of our family knew it was happening that day until the officiant got there. It was perfect. Plus the bonus part is we saved so much money and we were able to go on an amazing honeymoon and but all new furniture for our entire house! Yay!
My husband and I did something similar too!! We got married at a bed and breakfast with just us two there. The next day we met up with some family and friends and went wine tasting. My gf who had done a large traditional wedding kept whispering to me, "you did this the right way." I dont regret a single thing!
NurseMegz our parents helped us buy a house since they didn't have to pay for a wedding. My brother had a huge expensive wedding and now he wishes they would have usednthat money to buy a house.
Hello! I love your videos! I am married to an amazing man. I am a cancer patient of 18 years (I was a 23 year old college student, 1st year law student, and was told I had 30 days to live and that I should go home and get my affairs in order, which I refused to give up. So for 18 years I've been fighting the fight. I also have Lupus, shingles and migraines. I wish Tyler and you nothing, nothing the best!!! 💗🌺
I’m engaged getting married in July (in 22 days)! So excited and nervous! Paying for everything in cash and getting help from loved ones! Please leave advice for me 😅
Robeson fan for years and a Sharrah fan for the past 2 years. Reminding people to remember to breathe and take it all in is such good advice. The wedding locale was visually stunning. Did I miss which golf course it was?? Thanks for sharing.
Married 29 years! I loved my wedding day, even though we spent less than 2k for everything including my dress. We had over 100 guests, beautiful flowers, photographer, nothing was missing but we did not start our married life in debt (we paid for it ourselves) and have continued to not take on unnecessary debt our whole marriage. The stress that not having debt can relieve is incredible and has always kept us in good financial status.
I had a groomsmen travel 8 hrs for the wedding and brought the wrong suit to an out of town country wedding. He brought a black pin stripe suit when everyone was wearing navy blue. Luckily his brother brought an extra suit for the weekend that happened to be navy blue.
We will be celebrating six years this coming Saturday! Our wedding was very low-key, completely DIY - my family and I did all the cooking, decorating, etc. I designed the cake (I am a cake decorator) ut my sister actually decorated it for me. I did every bit of the planning, made most of the decorations, and it was perfect! Would not change even one single thing! I always have been, and still am, obsessed with weddings, so I loved this video!
Married last spring! Did a more affordable wedding but still real nice! Had 150 people, buffet style bbq food, real flowers but I made my own burlap runners, did my own makeup, and best of all found a beautiful dress for only $200! 👌🏻👌🏻
Engaged! I watched all of your Wedding Wednesday videos before I got engaged and watched them all over again after getting engaged. Your wedding was so beautiful!
I’m getting married next year and am in the process of planning my wedding. It would be a huge help if you could add the agenda you used for your wedding. For example what time was the ceremony and reception, when did you have the first dance, when did you do the wedding send off (with the sparklers), etc.
I'm dating someone. We haven't been dating long but we just passed the "I love you" milestone so that's been the highlight of my week. Far away from marriage but I love these kinds of videos!
I got in engaged this passed December and we have set the date for July of 2020 to give us time to save money and look for venues because they book so quickly in New York. I'm so excited to start planning! I've chose a rustic theme and we found such an amazing venue that will fit perfectly. 2020 seems so far but I know it will be here in the blind of an eye. ❤
I'm married!but my daughter just got engaged so,will definitely share this as I do all your videos!!having been a day1 watcher I love your wedding series and your are a forever beyond gorgeous Bride and your Groom is one lucky guy, sure he knows that....thank you for sharing
HI Sharrah, I'm married (it will be 20 years on Aug 8th. We had chosen amazing hors d'oeurves during the cocktail hour and I asked the banquet manager to make sure that there were some set aside for us. The manager actually assigned a waiter just for us and to insure that we enjoyed all the food we had chosen for the wedding. They brought out drinks and hors d'oeurves for our wedding party while we were taking the photo's on the Golf Course. It was a beautiful summer day. I really loved watching all of your wedding planning and the actual wedding vid. TFS.
I'm married for almost a year! Our wedding day was BY FAR our favorite "special" day of our lives! My mom is German, so we had German style "entertainment" where your guests prepared songs, games, activities to perform/do for you and the other guests. It.was.amazing. We had fire juggling, Polish wedding games that had guests up on their feet, screaming and cheering on other guests who were competing, poems, duets, and more. Then we danced until midnight, had cereal as our late night snack, and sat by the fire until 1 in the morning. So.good. We were able to hire a videographer through a generous gift from a relative, and I could not be more thankful that we have that.
I'm getting married next year in April. I'm so excited but so nervous about all the planning since I'm planning it all myself. I can totally take all the tips and advice I can take. I'm having a "small" wedding 50-75 people or so in our country home. Please let me know any tips anyone might have.
Hello Sharrah! You were an absolutely stunning bride 👰🏼. My son is getting married next month 😊. It’s a destination wedding in Key Largo, so exciting! Excellent tips!! Have a wonderful day!! 😉
We got married in September of 2016 and we always say we want to do it again. It was a wonderfu day but we would do it totally different. We wanted an outdoor wedding and not the traditional wedding traditions, posed photos, etc but we totally had the golf club with the cake cutting, etc. We wanted more relaxed and somehow the day got turned around on us. Totally thinking about renewing our views in a few years and doing it our way.
I have been married for 23 years now to the love of my life. My daughter is getting married in August this year. So I’m rewatching all your wedding videos. Lol!
Hey Sharrah! It’s been forever since I’ve seen you. I’m engaged and I have loved watching your wedding series. It’s helped me a lot with my wedding planning with my mom!
I'm married. We got married in July 2017 at the Santa Barbara Courthouse...just my husband, me, the man who married us, and our witness (who also was our photographer). It was great to have it just him and no, no stress, and easy. It's exactly what we wanted. Then, in October 2017 we threw our reception so we could celebrate with family and friends. We didn't have a traditional reception at all. We eliminated a lot of stuff cause it wasn't our thing. The only moments we kept were our first dance and the cake cutting. We wanted a big celebration/party where we could enjoy ourselves with family and friends, and be in the moment as much as possible. I was apart of 4 different weddings prior to ours, and I learned a lot. The traditional schedule to a wedding reception takes a lot of time. We asked ourselves what was important, and both of us agreed that we wanted to celebrate our love in an easygoing/stress free/schedule free kind of night with our close people. It was perfect.
I think it’s about figging time someone brought you a breakfast burrito and ice cream sandwich sister!!! 🤣😜🥳 I have a feeling you’ll know our story one day. I watched your wedding video, I cried like a baby. lol I found you through your mom who I am looking forward to collaborating with in the future. Everything is going to go right. All things are possible. You have a beautiful family. Y’all are so blessed beyond measure!!! Love yas.
I'm married ! We have celebrated ours 6 years of wedding the January 14 2018. We have two beautiful children, one girl of 6 years old and one boy of 4 years old. The wedding has suppose to be in the first week of june 2011, but after Christmas 2010... I have discover that I was pregnant. The wedding can't be done because my wedding dress can fit me for the wedding day. Finally, the wedding was on January 14 2012 with my little girl of 5 months old, who begin to crawl the night before the wedding.
Just had my 6 year wedding anniversary 💕 I agree, live music definitely makes it much more fun! I also missed out on the late night snacks, the table was completely empty. Which was a bummer for me, but at least I knew ppl had enjoyed it! If I had one tip to add, would be try not to compare your wedding to others. Live in the moment and know that you gave the best wedding within your means and just enjoy it!! Dance and drink the night away, the rest is just details.
We just celebrated our 30th anniversary. We were married on a Friday 13th! (It's been GOOD LUCK for us and we celebrate each Friday 13th just for fun!) I wish that I had been reminded to pause and look around on our wedding day. It was such a blur! If it weren't for photos, there were so many moments I would have forgotten! Thanks for your great advice/suggestions Sharrah! Your wedding photos from this video are amazing - now I need to watch your video!
Married at 27 years old and one different thing we did with our wedding was that we had no traditional speeches! My Dad is the super nervous type and though he said he would do a speech I knew he would be so worried and not enjoy himself. We decided to scrap them all and my Mom asked multiple people from both sides of the family write down lovely things and she printed them on scrolls. This was themed perfectly as our wedding tables were Game of Thrones houses :P
great tips! relationship status- dating seriously for two years and we are hoping to get engaged by the end of this year! obsessed with event planning and particularly wedding planning because of the style of decor that it involves. I can’t wait to start designing my own wedding!
Loved this! "My thing" was that my stretch hummer limo broke down 3 times on the way to the ceremony. I had to get out (leave my bridal party behind) and ride in my mom's friend's car to be sure I made it on time to the venue. Luckily my bridal party made it to the ceremony with plenty of time to spare! And apparently we forgot the ring bearer pillows, and my parents had to call a neighbor to use our spare key to get in and bring them to us, but I didn't know about this until after my honeymoon! I'm glad they decided to just not tell me. ;) Looking back, these are things we can just laugh about now and I remember and appreciate all of the things that went perfectly! I have to also agree that a band is SO incredibly worth it. The whole experience of a band is top notch! All of the instruments and interactive entertainment is our favorite memory and what people still tell us they loved about our reception! And the food. :)
Watching this before getting married this fall. I worked at a venue for a few years, and usually as servers we try and prioritize feeding bride and groom. I would go to the bridal suite and leave a plate and tell people it'd be for the bride because it's crazy how many brides don't get to eat anything.
I had a live band too...my parents insisted on that. I had a second veil that was cathederal length. My veil extension got caught on the bottom corner of one the the double doors that opened at my entrance down the church isle. I felt my head pull back and something rip (it was on a velcro strip). But everyone was in the process of standing up and turning around to look at me so I could not stop and fix it. I had to deal with that thing half hanging off the back of my head for all to see. Fortunately, It was under my shorter tier veil, so it wasn't super noticeable. But I was worried it would fall off walking and moving around. So yes, things can go wrong even if planned to perfection.
Great advice on the music ! Having had live music at our ceremony and recorded music at our reception -both worked out fine but definitely gets crazy if you are trying to mix live amd recorded at same time ! I have sung with both as well and can't stress enough how much timing is taken for granted with recorded tracks. Also dont rule out someone singing A capella - it will be a very special piece and the soloist / duet will have the freedom to focus on the song rather then worry about the accompaniment.
I’m Engaged! 🎉💕💍 wedding planning is SO much more stressful than I ever thought it would be! What helps is that all that really matters at the end of the day is I’m marrying my best friend and get to spend forever with him 🥰...however if I could’ve done it all differently I would’ve/should’ve definitely saved up SOOO much more money 🤣
pichuchulove Congrats! It's really important to carefully think about what suits you best and not compare your wedding with other people's weddings. Do what's closest to your heart! Best of luck!
My husband and I got married a couple months after you. I loved watching your wedding videos and related to the process as I was living it at that time!
Today is my 6 month anniversary. We had a civil ceremony but still made it’s as special as possible. Suit, elegant wedding reception dress, photographer, flowers. The only thing I would have changed would have been the flowers. They were handmade and hand dyed. Crafted out of wood but the look very realistic and had a nice floral scent. I still would have gotten artificial flowers because now I have something that will last forever and can be passed. I would however change the color scheme and design of the flowers. And I would have gotten matching corsages for the women of the family and boutonnières for the groomsmen. Also the whole reason we chose a civil ceremony was to keep it simple and to focus on us. But having to try and match the colors of something I was waiting on in the mail made me a bit anxious and I would have just liked very simple black, white and greens theme. Also I would have rented a driver instead of relying on family and friends. It just would have been more romantic than my bff driving while were in the back seat
I just found your channel and love it! I'm getting married in two weeks! It's small (30 guests), and am so happy that we decided to go small and to have just our closest friends and immediate family members there.
We are celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary. You’ve given some good advice, the only point to the wedding is that you are getting married. Everything else is bonus.
The like doesn't even describe this video! I love it!!! I started watching it this morning (but with kiddos and all wasn't able to finish it until later). And in the mean time, found out that my best friend is engaged!! I'm passing this video along to her!!
I am in a 6 year relationship! He’s been pretty open about the next step which is why I’m aware a ring is being made :) You had such a beautiful wedding!! Did you have many guests?
Im engaged! We have set our date to december. Since i live in central america the climate is fine, it would be rainy but maybe we can can have a sunny day. I want a garden wedding. My boyfriend wants barbecue, we are a match... my father thinks that we should totally elope, my moms think we should ger married by church. Its crazy planing a wedding. Even if is so simple as a garden wedding. I dont have to many help, would love to hire a planner but dont have that big of a budget. Also the venue of yours was a amazing, i wish i could get something like that in my hometown.
this was a really helpful video! 😁 I'm engaged and getting married in exactly 2 months today 🥰 and I definitely need all the helpful tips I can get so that this last bit goes as smoothly as possible! 🥳 thanks again!
hi sharrah I just saw your cannel for the first time today. I am a swiss girl and I am engaged we gonna get married next year in marrakech marocco😍 we have a lot to prepare.... xoxo from switzerland
Single!! But... lots of weddings coming up in my life and I was wondering if you'd do a couple style videos on what to wear as a wedding guest in all sorts of venues and themes! Xoxo
I'm coming up to my 25th wedding Anniversary...Sept 2018. Can't wait. I had an amazing wedding at Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbrige MASS. LOVED IT. The reception room looked like a garden.
married, my wedding was way too stressful for me, wine spilled on my dress, unprofessional dj and 30 mins late so everything was late afterwards, wrong songs played, everything was rushed, uninvited guest crashed, and I was in a bad mood throughout making sure everything was perfect and worrying way too much about my guests to really enjoy any of it, and overall wanted to scream but had to smile throughout....at least my photographer and videographer were amazing! and although my wedding wasn't what I had hoped for, my honeymoon made up for it all!
Hi! I am engaged! This is a second wedding for me. I am also a wedding florist, so I am surrounded by all things wedding. I loved this video! Well said! I think after my first wedding (which was beautiful) I learned a lot. Most of what you said in your video is exactly what I would have said. I didn’t get to try my tomato soup and grilled cheese shooters 😜. It was nice hearing it again from someone else. One of the biggest things we did differently is splurge on quartet, and a 7 piece band for the reception. Live music makes a wedding! It’s three months until our big day, and I think the best advice you gave is to stop and pause! Both You, and the pictures of everything are absolutely beautiful! Congrats to you both! ❤️
Married. Did a very simple, modest wedding. We trimmed off a lot of traditions that meant nothing to us and saved a heap of money and stress. Ps. My mother-in-law made my dress for $100AUD!!
From a bride to be, this took too long so I had to skim...
1. Don’t change your skincare before the Wedding
2. Don’t lost your hair extensions
3. Have live music during ceremony
4. Allow more time to greet guests during dinner
5. Eat your late night snacks if you’re providing
Yachy Ivy bless your soul for this
Thank you
Thanks
Thank you!
Thanks. Her lists sucks. I wish I would have seen your comment before I wasted time on her stupid video
I’m ready to do it all over again 😘 best day of my life.
I’m married.. I finally said I do last year in March to my high school sweetheart, after being together for 19yrs 😁

A wee bit freaked out about the cost of all of these details. It adds up.. Would you ever consider sharing the cost of your wedding?

Sarah A that sounds so much more fun than traditional wedding ceremony 😁😁

Engaged. Getting married 5th October 2019. 💒
Getting married in just over a month and I'm FREAKING OUT!
great tips! relationship status- dating seriously for two years and we are hoping to get engaged by the end of this year! obsessed with event planning and particularly wedding planning because of the style of decor that it involves.
I got married back in May and I loved watching your wedding series whilst planning our wedding! 😊💕
Married 21 years this week June 7th. Your wedding was gorgeous!
Comments I heard especially of the elder guests...was that our son and daughter in law rounded and greeted all 80+ guests during the reception.
It's great that you're marrying your best friend that is how it should be.
Engaged! Getting married August 2021 and I love all your videos! So helpful and your wedding was exquisite!
It’s fun when people suddenly discover u r Rebecca Robeson’s daughter.. i thought ur wedding was perfect and you looked amazing..
I jus found out shes rebeccas daughter like right now lol
Have been married for almost 3 years!!! I so needed to watch this video before we started our planning back then, thanks for sharing your tips.
thanks for sharing! now 10 years in a relationship and I'm waiting patiently
ENGAGED!! Still figuring out what we want to do big vs. small, cool elopement abroad? still unsure!
pichuchulove Congrats! It's really important to carefully think about what suits you best and not compare your wedding with other people's weddings. Do what's closest to your heart! Best of luck!
I am getting married in exactly ONE month!! I am so nervous!!
My husband and I got married a couple months after you. I loved watching your wedding videos and related to the process as I was living it at that time!
Great tips!!! I’m married for a year and a half and pregnant.
Currently in an 8 year relationship with two kids.. ❤️
Loved this video sharrah! And your wedding was very beautiful as well.
What did you do to stay/be super fit and lean for your wedding? You were such a gorgeous bride
I have to ask. Where did you buy your reception dress??????? I want a dress just like it !! would you care to say where you bought it from ?
Hey I'm engaged I'm excited, love your videos. Very good tips to know for my wedding coming up.
He’s been pretty open about the next step which is why I’m aware a ring is being made :)
You had such a beautiful wedding!! Did you have many guests?
I'm engaged and planning my wedding for this December! :)

Getting married this September, and this video definitely helped a lot with the little finishing touches!
Married for 25 years!!! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!!
i am planning my wedding just now... i will rewatch everything.
it is a lot of work, but it is the best experience.
I’m dating but want to be engaged in the next two/three years! I’m definitely going to rewatch your wedding series when the time comes!
I'm coming up to my 25th wedding Anniversary...Sept 2018. Can't wait. I had an amazing wedding at Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbrige MASS. LOVED IT. The reception room looked like a garden.
I love Sturbridge. Was just thinking today of Christmas there.
Eternally single
Enjoy it!
married, my wedding was way too stressful for me, wine spilled on my dress, unprofessional dj and 30 mins late so everything was late afterwards, wrong songs played, everything was rushed, uninvited guest crashed, and I was in a bad mood throughout making sure everything was perfect and worrying way too much about my guests to really enjoy any of it, and overall wanted to scream but had to smile throughout....at least my photographer and videographer were amazing! and although my wedding wasn't what I had hoped for, my honeymoon made up for it all!
Just got engaged March 16th,2019. Loved this video! ☺️
How did you do the burritos? Did you make them the night before? How did you warm them? Love your video!
Getting married next spring. Do you recommend any particular hair extension brand ? In the process of getting glam booked/trials etc. thank you!!
Married. Did a very simple, modest wedding. We trimmed off a lot of traditions that meant nothing to us and saved a heap of money and stress. Ps. My mother-in-law made my dress for $100AUD!!
Happily taken!! Coming up to 2 years and still going strong haha
My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary the day this video was published! :)
Here's a blog where I've documented a few unique decisions I made for our wedding. Check it out! kpjune3.wordpress.com
Will definitely keep these great tips in mind, as my daughter will be getting married. Thank you for sharing.
Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Loved everything about your wedding! Where did you purchase your rehearsal dinner outfit. I'm obsessed! Ps I'm married 😘
