After a cease fire the US took the opportunity to turn it into a satelite state on China's doorstep. Taiwan is actually still part of a civil war that has been put on hold after western countries asked China not to pursue to avoid a bloodbath.
The US couldnt resist to use the opportunity and look at where we are now......
