Love this. I'm a massive Skyweaver fan and have built my Harlequins army around them since 8th ed (casual and local competition). I have 12 of them 😆. It wasn't optimal in 9th ed, but they are always so much fun... Bring them in from strategic reserves, neutralise a big tank, then Fire and Fade to safey 😆... plus they are the best looking models in the game imo. Less useful against tyranids though. They used to be even more dangerous than they are now, and people are scared of them for that reason, so they can be used as a distraction (very tricksy). The advantage of running them in a Craftworlds army is their multi-role flexible utility, because they are more disposable and you have more backup for doing the same things. Great video. More Harlequins please.
I really appreciate all that you do for Eldar players Bret. All your videos are witty, well researched, accessible and you can really hear the enthusiasm for our point eared friends! I have recently returned to playing Eldar after 17 years out and all your content has been invaluable and inspiring. It is great that you look at list building not only through competitive play but also a fluffy and more social gaming lens. Ill certainly be looking into Skyweavers. Thanks for all you do. You have help myself a great deal! Are you Canadian by the way? I can't place accents to save my life.
Thank you!! I am not Canadian, but well-done you for being able to tell that not all American accents are the same, (and that there are more than two.)
I'm so happy to hear you'll make a Full Harlequin list video, I've been thinking about playing a list like that for a while and I can't wait to see your take on it. I have to say I initially severely underestimated these guys, though the Haywire with anti-4+dev did look extremely good (I love when keywords have synergy like that). I might eventually put a squad of them in my list if I can make some space, if only to try them out.
Thankyou for this video, I'm looking to trade a squad of two of these in for Dragons in a Falcon. As a sort of finishing unit for vehicles and/or infantry hit by Warwalkers or D-Cannons. I had settled on Zephyr Glaives over the Bolas for this reason. But now I'm not so sure!
I've used one unit of 2, looking to expand these since I've started back in 10th edition, the dev on 4s against tanks is too good not to have, I use them to hunt the big fellas I go up against and with the zephglaive they are decent in melee too
@@nathangoddard6082 have you watched my video on Harlequins? I talk about her there- but if you have already run that one and still want a unit focus, I will add it to the list
Since ynari can have druhkari models will you also cover those as well? Cause im really curious about what you think of the ravegers a 65pts 3 man bike squad that can have a melta 3 str14 meltagun
@@WBConcilio yea cause i like older white scars lore of mass troops trained in bikes/jetpack/transports ive always been partial to bike heavy armies. And saim hann are up there on things i was interested. But since 10th ed my white scars bikes have taken up the shelf, RIP legends, so now im looking to get into a eldar bike list and as ynari can pull the most bikes and scourges as they are criminally cheap for the eldar rerolls, im looking foward to join the pointy ear gang.
It's a different bag of tricks. You definitely need some conventional hard target elim in a list also. I DEFINITELY am not suggesting you replace all your hard target elim with Skyweavers- you definitely still need either Dragons or Prisms or Wraithcannons etc. Skyweavers are another tool that helps with vehicle destruction and does other stuff too
Would you consider these bikes as an alternative to other eldar anti-tank options? They're certainly a lot cheaper than fire prisms (though I appreciate they don't work so well vs non-vehicles).
Not entirely. They are one tool- you also need to be able to kill tough monsters, etc. I put three units into one of my top two competitive lists by dropping a War Walker, Feugan, and some dragons- but that list still has two Prisms and double Avatars
Can I have the list too? I starter 40k for quins back in 9th and 10h édition clowns are disappointing for me even if there are à lot of plays for me… i’m having a lot of problèms running the pure quins and I feel forced to add craftworld in my list to make it work a little bit more (like Avatar for exemple)
In mono-Harlequins, sure. In a Craftworld list it doesn't suck, but that second squad will be far from optimal at the job it's doing for the points relative to other options
@@WBConcilio I'm not planning of playing craft world, just pure harlequins. The only splash I may consider are yvraine, yncarne, wave serpent and shroud runners.
I really appreciate the help effort and it’s great to see you making the most of it. I’m just too angry at GW to play 10th. Harlequins we’re the reason I play 40K and they’re just no fun anymore- they took away all the stuff which makes them uniquely harlequin. I’m sick of GW’s customer service. Hundreds of pounds of investment in an army and boom- just like that they ruined it. 8 months later and no change. I think it’s disgraceful. I really hope that harlequins get some decent rules and some flavour back soon, but I’m not sure if I’ll play 40K again- certainly won’t be giving GW another penny. Rant over. Thanks for your video 👍
The Auspex Tactics of eldar 🤩
COMMENTS FOR THE LAUGHING GOD!
I just expanded my elf army into Harlies so PLEASE keep these coming!!!
Nice!! Hoping to drop the big harlie video next weekend

I run strictly Ulthwe with my craftworld but for the first time I am contemplating Harlequins now. Thanks Brent
Literally just bought 2 sky weavers yesterday and had them built all the way save for their weapons, this is hype

I KNEW these bikes were great to field, but just couldn’t exactly put it into words! Thank you!

Love to see this! It’s a great unit that often goes under the radar!
Thanks for the fresh and insightful take. You do great work.
Anti vehicle is underrated. The Monolith is a vehicle, have your revenge!
Hahaha- great point
Great video Brent! Hoping to see something on Solitaire tactics in the big Harlequin video!
Oh, for sure!
This is perfect timing. My Farseer said so.
Hahaha
I've been on the fence for the Star Weaver. This has tipped me over the edge. They'll fit in well with my Ynnari list. Thanks for the insight 👍
Woot!
Awesome content! Just bought 4 of these and then this video dropped :)
Great Overwatch Soak/Bait as well with 3 wounds a bike and a 4++!
for my quins I use the provided stickers and put a load on each model, it works well

I sympathize. Harlequins were hit the hardest of any faction in the game by the arrival of 10th.
Hopefully they will get a supplement soon
