I don't believe every player stat pads. I look at Kobe's 62 pt game in 3 quarters. He sat the entire 4th because the game was over. Could he have played the 4th and got 75-80 pts? Yep but he chose not to. I watched Jordan score only 19 pts in a game and sit the entire 4th quarter because the win was locked up. He was averaging 30 ppg so that 19 hurt his stats. Could he have played the 4th and got to 30? Easily. But chose not to. On the flip side there are guys like Harden who truly do stat pad but that doesn't mean every player does it.

I don't believe every player stat pads. I look at Kobe's 62 pt game in 3 quarters. He sat the entire 4th because the game was over. Could he have played the 4th and got 75-80 pts? Yep but he chose not to. I watched Jordan score only 19 pts in a game and sit the entire 4th quarter because the win was locked up. He was averaging 30 ppg so that 19 hurt his stats. Could he have played the 4th and got to 30? Easily. But chose not to. On the flip side there are guys like Harden who truly do stat pad but that doesn't mean every player does it.
