Nikola Jokic Is The Most Likeable NBA Superstar

  • After summarizing Joker’s must see offseason festivities plus seeing the mindset and journey behind his 2023 success, we’ll dive into more piled up receipts including old ones from this past season, one of which was shamefully from yours truly. Nevertheless everyone including myself can learn from jokic’s poise and humbleness. I am taking notes.

Not to be that guy, but I would like to call out elephant in the room I think one of the things why Jokic get disrespect is his race, you see most black players (like Garnet, Lebron, Embiid, Towns) and black media people (like Stephen A, Perkins) they can't stand that white guy from Europe is kicking ass over so many "brothers" in the league, so the refuse to give him his flowers, it's because of that that last month of the regular season he didn't even try, he wanted to lose mvp on purpose to get away from all the drama, and while he mostly doesn't care about that stuff and the drama, you could see he was hurt by Perkins racist comments and the narrative, when he responded after the win over the rockets in march "I guess I'm just a stat padder"
ps: Also Bruce Brown said in one interview Joker has never been more serious than in the series vs Lakers, he wanted to win and sweep them so badly, I think it's because LeBron insulted him when he didn't want to pick him during all star game, and Jokic took that personally, thing about Jokic he will not show emotions but he will remember who wronged him and will beat you on the court, he also got his revenge of Booker and the Suns.

The typical American celebrity personality/lifestyle with the ego, glam, self promotion, and showing off is a pet peeve of mine so naturally I'm drawn to Jokic as my favorite player. It's also the reason I hate like 95% of NBA players and will likely stop paying attention to the NBA when Jokic decides to retire. Garnett is delusional. I get it, though. Certain people in the NBA, say about 75% of the players, think that basketball is kind of their thing, that it somehow belongs to them more than say, the other 25% of the players. So Jokic coming along and doing "their" thing better than they can do it definitely rubs them the wrong way.
Crazily, that helps Jokic even more because not only do they overlook him, they in fact refuse to see him. He's a constant surprise, because 75% of the players can only see him a certain way, not as the surpassingly great player he is.

Im going to say this video makes KG look awful and its not deserved. I routinely listen to his podcast as he says Jokic is the best and is great at most everything he does. His AD comments in the full interview were more about AD not living up to his potential than dragging Jokic down. And I agree AD has all the physical tools and skills to be the best he just has to have that mindset. ESPN and most NBA media didnt respect Jokic but Reddick, Barkley, Paul George, KAT all did on podcasts. The media might not respect Jokic but players in the league sure as hell do and thats the true sign of greatness.
