The game is to be SOLD, not TOLD. Hakeem may be asking for too little. By making players put some skin in the game, this ensures that the player does the most with the wisdom that is taught to him
Gilbert: 1) "He hasn`t been good since the 90`s". 2) "All the moves in the 2000`s he don`t know, 2010`s he don`t know, the 2020`s he don`t know". 1A) Someone might want to tell Gilbert that Hakeem`s prime years WERE the 90`s, so it`s no real surprise his play trailed off at the end of his career when he was 37+ years old and playing smaller amounts of games and minutes on marginal teams. And even then, Hakeem`s last 3 years (at 37+ years old) were still at least 2-3X as good as Gilbert`s last 3 years of basketball (where Gilbert averaged 8 ppg with BELOW .350 fg%, 4.2 ppg with BELOW .410 fg%, and his last season he didn`t even play in the NBA, but in some China league). 2A) I would like to see someone ask Gilbert exactly what "moves" these players were doing and was so inventive in the 2000`s, 2010`s, 2020`s that no other player in 100 years of professional basketball before then have seemed to figure out(particularly centers), especially Hakeem. Are the moves that Gilbert is referring to, things like palming the ball, travelling, offensive fouling, etc...?
Alperen Sengun has worked with Hakeem since he got to Houston. Watch his highlights. Before Alpy, on the Rockets a guy named D-Mo was doing it, he's now successful again overseas after dealing with injuries in his NBA career

Idk how he can look at jokic and embiid and not see the footwork and creative shots
I mean. I'm more amazed on how people still hear what arenas says. Lol
Hakeem should be paid 100k in my opinion, not only he teach you to become better but also he spend his valuable time with you
Arenas was headed to being HOF until the injuries, but you never diss players from the 80's and 90's
You have to pay to talk to financial advisors for advice so why is this even a problem?
Its up to the players to actually to apply the post moves/skills. The majority of players in today's NBA are more comfortable facing up and dribbling.
There's a reason he won back to back titles with Houston and had a winning record against Jordan in their matches
TB12 throws that ignorance 90's basketball is trash right out the window! Played in 3 decades! Won a superbowl in all 3...Adjusted his game in all 3...Its that simple that great ones adjust! Excellent content!
Agent Zero brain cells.
Gilbert would have been nobody in the big man/contact Era. Even giving him all the knowledge of the modern game he has now, drop him in that Era and he still wouldn't be ahead of the time. He's not that guy. He's a journeyman with the ego of a self proclaimed GOAT.
Jordan said hakeem is the most dangerous player againts their team in whole 90s.
Anyone else find it interesting that the only people Arenas disrespects are the ones better than him?
Agent Zero needs attention.
That's what happened when you let a loser speak on a winner😂😂😂😂
gil was cooking that time 50k is too much when they could just watch his film
Olajuwon 94 and 95 NBA champion
94 and 95 finals MVP
94 regular season MVP
93 and 94 DPOTY
All time blocks leader
12 time allstar
First pick 84 draft
Arenas resume ain't nowhere near near Olajuwon. Plus, I know it's been said by a few people here already, but he's the best all around center I've ever seen.
Gilbert career stats -6 rings 6 final mvp 10 scoring wait hold on that's not Gil what has he done again 😂😂
When did they stop playing post up basketball because if it's still used today, then his argument is pure ignorance.
Can someone help me find the video where uncut hoops compares LeBron’s 2007 run to Jordan’ 1988 run, please I’m trying to prove a point
Imagine getting upset because guys invest in making themselves better on the court! Stop listening to bad takes from average NBA players😂
The game is to be SOLD, not TOLD. Hakeem may be asking for too little. By making players put some skin in the game, this ensures that the player does the most with the wisdom that is taught to him
Gilbert:
1) "He hasn`t been good since the 90`s".
GILBERT ARENAS IS why former players are not respected as they should for their 'takes'.
Dude is just mad he cant make 50gran teachin how to shoot a gun 😂😂😂
Alperen Sengun has worked with Hakeem since he got to Houston. Watch his highlights. Before Alpy, on the Rockets a guy named D-Mo was doing it, he's now successful again overseas after dealing with injuries in his NBA career
All arenas has to do is look up yao highlights to see dreams influence in his game
50k is worth learning how to destroy your opponents with lateral movements. 🙏🏾
Gianiss almost always travels in the post, he will definitely benefit with Hakeem's training.
GILBERT THE CLOWN ARENAS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A non hall of famer talking about a hall famer I all ready turn off my brain
I wore Hakeem shoes in elementary school
50k is wild to me. If im Hakeem and im already rich the training will be free. Id rather charge you a donation.
Arenas is wrong most of the time. Constantly taking L's.
If I was looking at minimum salary of $900k, and wanted to hold my job, and try to extend my contract, I'd gladly pay $50k for training from one of the best!
Not to mention, if you're talking about Giannis, he makes $45 million a year! Hell, why not pay $50k to improve his game?!
Gil is setting yall up. He just be saying anything because he knows yall will talk about it
Low hanging off season fruit
The Internet allows the ignorant and ill-informed to make comments without criticism. Gilbert is jealous of Hakeem’s career. We will remember Hakeem, but who is putting Gilbert in their top ten?
Giannis is making an effort to improve his game. Arenas didnt improve his game thats why he went downhill along with his guns.
Its funny how he said lebron didnt learn anything from him. Lebron runs the I Promise school, i wouldnt really expect him to absorb much information😂
Gilbert Arenas was the first Ja Morant
Gilbert almost admittedly doesn’t mind hating 🤦🏾♂️
Does Gilbert Arenas know that you can write of the cost of your business expenses? You can write off training/ coaching/ equipment cost if you structure you finances correctly. Furthermore, there are many techniques in all walks of life that have its roots in the past and even antiquity, good footwork transcends era and even the sport of basketball. Silly take on purpose to boost engagement. I really hate when men try to take money out of the pocket of other men for no good reason. Hakeem should coach for free?
Hakeem is the top 3 greatest center of all time, period. I can even argue that Hakeem is even better than Kareem
I would rather say “tried to train Dwight Howard”. That dude never developed any post moves in his NBA days and only used his athleticism😅.
This coming from a man who never went to the finals or won a Championship, Gilbert is a 🤣😂😂😂
Arenas would make Ryan hollins seem like a genius
