    Do you notice that when leaving the roam on the charging pad while playing, it heats the battery to the point of not charging? This will significantly decrease battery life.

    Sadly mine is now a paperweight. Constant orange light and will not turn on or reboot. Loved it when it worked, but the issues with battery shutting down, despite being plugged in, and it now being useless have me looking at alternatives as a replacement. Too bad the Move is too large and pricey for my kitchen space. 😢

      Hey Scott! That’s really unfortunate. How long have you had it and how did you typically charge it out of interest with usb-c or wireless charger?

      Should check out the teardown video, people have had a lot of success replacing the battery with a little bit of finesse and patience. 🤓🔋

      Thanks for reaching out...I initially purchased the Sonos Wireless charger and was using that for awhile, but had to revert to a usb-c option. Anyway, good news...I did reach out to Sonos Support and they replaced it after doing a quick diagnostics review. New one is perfect so far (fingers crossed). @@LovingTechLife

      Mine had the same problem, I charged using wireless mostly. Currently in the process of changing out the battery, hopefully it will help. The battery swap so far has been pretty easy, only downside is I’m for sure gonna lose my IP68 rating from taking it apart.

    How about a stereo pair of the roam with a sub gen3

    • @LovingTechLife
      @LovingTechLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Marvin! As far as I know the Roam and only be paired together as a stereo pair. The App won’t let you pair a Sub to them.

    • @marvstercat32
      @marvstercat32 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LovingTechLife yes, true.
      But can you not cast in multiple rooms?

    • @LovingTechLife
      @LovingTechLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      @marvstercat32 Sure as long as the Sub is paired with at least one other compatible speaker first.

    • @marvstercat32
      @marvstercat32 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So in essence, you could put stereo pair of roam left and right while listening to music to expand stereo field?

      @marvstercat32 correct 👍🏻

    Hi I have some old sonos system such as play:1 and sonos bar which is still working well. If I'm too get a sonos roam, can i use this Roam and do grouping with the old sonos? that would make my old sonos slight smarter via the sonos roam (by using the airplay). Thanks in advance for the advice

    • @LovingTechLife
      @LovingTechLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey BT! It comes down to the S1 & S2 app for grouping. You just need to have the speakers on one or the other. Since the Roam is only compatible with S2 then you just need to see if your speakers also work with S2 and then they will group via the Sonos app! See the list below:
      support.sonos.com/en-au/article/sonos-s2-compatibility

      @@LovingTechLife In that case, it should work. Thanks for the details explanation. Cheers

      Thanks. I’ve spent a lot on Sonos and the system is s1 and I’m glad you shared the Sonos Roam is only S2 computable.

    PLEASE somebody help me turn it on. The instructions only teach how to charge...

    • @LovingTechLife
      @LovingTechLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Sylvia! You press the long button on the back to turn it on. Here’s a link and I copied som instructions below www.sonos.com/en-us/guides/roam
      Power/Bluetooth button
      Power on/sleep/wake: Short press (less than 1 second)
      When you put Roam to sleep, you’ll hear a quick tone and the status light will turn off. Press again to wake. If you put Roam to sleep, it will stay asleep for 10 minutes before powering off.
      Bluetooth: To pair with a device, press and hold until you hear the second tone and the status light blinks blue, then select Roam from your device’s Bluetooth pairing list.
      To pair with a different device, wait until Roam connects to the current device, then press and hold again to restart the pairing process.
      Power off: Long press (about 5 seconds)
      Press and hold until you hear the third tone. The status light blinks blue, then turns off.

    This is so much better than '6 Months Later's' long-term review 😂. You were very straightforward, but 6MR was very flashy with his video, and there's not much useful and objective info at all.

    Sonos speaker will not connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
    Sonos Roam is a big fat No from me.
    None of Sonos troubleshooting recommendations worked.

    It’s a deal breaker for me because you can’t stereo pair via Bluetooth

    • @LovingTechLife
      @LovingTechLife  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely a downside, let’s see if the Roam 2 improves on this particular feature. They have at least remove the requirement to set it up on WiFi first since the new one will work off Bluetooth straight off the bat.
