I have a Roam 1, which I use in the bathroom mainly. I can take in the shower, and because I have a little visual impairity, I do not have to worry that it falls in the water. And when I’m travelling, I simply take it with me and use Bluetooth, I don’t like to connect my phone with devices in the hotel room. Perfect for me!
I bought a Roam 2 today because I’m out of my city for work and I miss my Sonos at home. I also wanted a portable Alexa and a good sound system for when I travel, which is at least once a year. The Move 2 felt too heavy for flying, so I’d definitely recommend the Roam 2 instead.
great review thx i am trying to decide between the ROAM 2 or the MOVE 2 I know sound is way different and price is quite a difference Black Friday is now and Cyber Monday so price on both have dropped for a bit ROAM 2 is 183 ( canadian ) 130 ( US ) MOVE 2 is 447 ( canadian ) 319 ( US ) cheers from Canada
The Roam has been bashed as a substandard speaker since its release. I purchased the Move2 last week and I set it up yesterday and listened to it for a few minutes so I haven't formed a opinion of it yet but I was impressed by its sound. I've viewed all the videos pertaining to its capabilities so it was an informed purchase. The Move2 is my first purchase of a Sonos product so I am going to find out how great Sonos is. I also have the Bose Max which I will be comparing it with so it should be interesting to see which is the better speaker.
Fix on the way for the past several months. I'll believe when I see it. Arc still can't play DTS-X. Stay away from sonos until they get their act together.
bought 2 Roam 2's and they both died within a year. I couldn't get them to power on or reset. Love my other Sonos stuff but these units seem to have a fundamental design flaw.
Same. I have a play 3 so the app is the only option for me. Just to adjust the volume it takes about 30 seconds for the app to find the speaker, and another minute or so fighting with it to adjust the volume. Same w changing a song. This is every time I switch to the app - even if it’s only a minute or two since I last used it. I suppose Sonos would be ok if you never needed to use the app, so airplay and Bluetooth is good, the sound is amazing.

Awesome, thank you!

Let me know how the max compares to the move 2
@@anthonytorres1929same. I want to know too.
Good review. Wish you had included some classical music or instrumentals for comparison.
Between the sonos roam 2 and the UE boom 4 what do you recommend?
Pls Beats pill va Roam 2 🙏
Do you know if Sonos will update its software to make move2 connect to the submini?
Is it technically possible to have such update? Or it’s not possible
So a Move 2 is basically like a portable Era 100? I think I want to get one on sale if I can find it
They're currently on sale for $359 Costco, Amazon and probably other places
The move 2 is impressive!
Move 2 has an easily replaceable battery and nice when the battery eventually dies
Neither 😮
KINDLY COMPARE SONOS ROAM 2 AND NEW BEATS PILL...THANKS
No aptX in 2024 is wild.
Neither. They need to sort the appalling app!
Considering the whole app update chaos of late, and the way they are dealing with it, none of these should be on one’s cart. 🛒
Fix on the way
@@d17mop in a few months. Maybe.
@@dexterieonly certain users affected. I’ve had no issues. So lucky I guess

Wasn't Roam 2 released like a couple months ago?
What's even the point of reviewing SONOS when the new app doesn't work?
Right? At this price point you’d think they could get their act together 🤷🏻♂️
Right
I hate SONOS right now. Half of my 8 speakers won't even be recognized by the app.
Mine works fine
