  • The final song for Easter/Pascha 2023! This Beautiful hymn is from 1835. The hymn itself showed up in 1811, but the music is credited to William Walker's "The Southern Harmony", (1835). I have always adored this song and it's been a common one I grew up with as a kid during the Easter season, so I felt it was a good idea to get it recorded and thrown up on the channel. Its relatively simple lyrical structure makes it a really good song for youth to learn and makes for a quick one to pick up in church.
    Lyrics:
    What wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul!
    What wondrous love is this, O my soul!
    What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss
    to bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul,
    to bear the dreadful curse for my soul!
    When I was sinking down, sinking down, sinking down,
    when I was sinking down, sinking down,
    when I was sinking down beneath God’s righteous frown,
    Christ laid aside his crown for my soul, for my soul,
    Christ laid aside his crown for my soul.
    To God and to the Lamb I will sing, I will sing;
    to God and to the Lamb I will sing;
    to God and to the Lamb, who is the great I AM,
    while millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing,
    while millions join the theme, I will sing.
    And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on;
    and when from death I’m free, I’ll sing on.
    And when from death I’m free, I’ll sing his love for me,
    and through eternity I’ll sing on, I’ll sing on,
    and through eternity I’ll sing on.

    Hey All, Last song of the Easter/Pascha season for this year! This song is another Easter Favorite of mine that I thought would work well so here we have it. This'll probably be one of the last religious songs until Christmas for the year unless I get "Agne Parthene" to a suitable quality before Assumption of the Virgin Mary/Dormition of the Theotokos. After this I'll try and get back into the production of my other songs which I've had waiting for me. Real sorry for the wait, but I hope you enjoy!

    This one has an awesome sound, excellent work! I love the pipe organ and echo in your voice. Gives me Palastinalied vibes with a bit of Oro Se Do Bheatha Bhaile

    If you don't mind me asking, are you Eastern Orthodox? I am, and with the previous songs (in which you labeled as Orthodox) it just made me wonder. Iconography also made me wonder.
