Greetings all, and welcome to my channel where I make original music and covers. If you are new to the channel, you may find the "Songs From Around The World" Playlist more cheerful, but the "Songs From The Second Civil War" contain most of my originals. We now have Christmas songs too!
In all my videos, I include the lyrics for the song in the description for convenience's sake (I know, my pronunciation may not always be on point), as well as a little blurb on the song, its history, or its meaning. I hope you enjoy the music!

Magnolia's In The Snow - Alderon Tyran
This song is the first song posted that I wrote expressly for someone. While I still hope everyone enjoys the song, and I am still greatful for my Patreons This one is for that person. Lyrics Below:
In the silence of the north, under skies so wide and cold,
Now planted, a magnolia, a beauty fair and bold.
Beside the pine, of older stock, so steady and so true,
Now they stand together, in winter's bright white hue.
Magnolia's in the snow,
so delicate and fair,
Way out in the cold,
your bloom whispers of summer air.
Like the roots that grow deep below,
The pine tree knows the frost, needles formed amid the chill,
The magnolia knows well the rain, and sun of a southern hill.
Now side by side, they both stand, in the pure white snow’s embrace,
The there roots entwine to find a warmth no cold can e'r erase.
Magnolia's in the snow,
so delicate and fair,
Way out in the cold,
your bloom whispers of summer air.
Like the roots that grow deep below,
From the icy plains and biting wind to spring’s most gentle thaw,
The pine tree shelters magnolia from every northern squall.
Their roots have grown, they've taken root, entwined beneath the snow,
A kind of love, to pure and true, that only they could know.
Magnolia's in the snow,
so delicate and fair,
Way out in the cold,
your bloom whispers of summer air.
Like the roots that grow deep below,
So let the north wind howl and beat, and let the snow lay deep,
Besides the pine still evergreen, sweet magnolia still keeps.
In the steadfast pine's embrace, under the winter's eve,
A love endures, forever warm, and forever we believe.
In the silence of the north, under skies so wide and cold,
Now planted, a magnolia, a beauty fair and bold.
Beside the pine, of older stock, so steady and so true,
Now they stand together, in winter's bright white hue.
Magnolia's in the snow,

Experimenting with my early songs, I hope you Enjoy! _The Back of the Album case reads:_ _"I Hear the Sirens Calling" is a poignant reflection of resilience and camaraderie, born from the ashes of societal collapse and war. Composed in 2026 by The Refugees, a group formed amidst the chaos of the Sierra Nevada War, this song encapsulates their journey from the Starvation Riots of Los Angeles to ...
Yellow Rose Of Texas - Alderon Tyran

An Absolutely Classic, Texan song, now brought into the Universe of the Second Civil War! I had lot's of requests for this song so I hope you enjoy! Lyrics: There's a yellow rose of Texas I'm going for to see, no other soldier knows her, not half as much as me. She cried so when I left her, it like to broke my heart, and if I ever find her, we never more shall part. She's the sweetest rose of c...
The Day It Fell Apart - Alderon Tyran

"The Day It Fell Apart" is a really fun song by Leslie Fish from a ways back that I've enjoyed for a long time. The song was chosen by the Patreons for last month's song and due to delays got pushed back. But here it is now! I hope you enjoy! Lyrics: Just a little general hospital, in a little factory town. The board put me in charge for mainly keeping prices down. I hadn't touched a patient si...
Cold Iron - Alderon Tyran
มุมมอง 93Kปีที่แล้ว
This song is an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's "Cold Iron" Poem put to music. The Melody and chords were borrowed from Leslie Fish's version recorded in 1983. The song tells the tale of Man (The Baron), and the struggle to use war (Cold Iron), to make the world by might alone. This leads Man to wage war on God (The King), and learn that perhaps Cold Iron isn't the true marker of what is Right....

Finally finished this song that I've been working on for a few months! I first heard this song as a young kid and I give it credit for my fascination with space all throughout my childhood and, by extension, youth. This song was originally written by Dr. Jordin Kare and originally released in 1983 in the album "Minus Ten and Counting". The version, I listened to as a kid, and thus expanded upon...
What Wonderous Love Is This? - Alderon Tyran

The final song for Easter/Pascha 2023! This Beautiful hymn is from 1835. The hymn itself showed up in 1811, but the music is credited to William Walker's "The Southern Harmony", (1835). I have always adored this song and it's been a common one I grew up with as a kid during the Easter season, so I felt it was a good idea to get it recorded and thrown up on the channel. Its relatively simple lyr...
Were You There? - Alderon Tyran ft. Janissa Lang

For Good Friday we have an abridged version of the Easter song "Were You There?". The song is sometimes done twice, once on Good Friday with the first 3 verses, and second on Easter with the final verse about the resurrections. Being for Good Friday, this version is the shorter option. Likewise Janissa volunteered to join in on this song so we hope you all enjoy! Lyrics: Were you there when the...

Easter of 2023 is getting a few more songs than usual! For Holy Thursday/Maundy Thursday, We get this Beautiful Catholic Gregorian Chant penned by St. Thomas Aquinas between 1227-1274. As Patrick Lenk does a far better rendition in the original Latin, I felt that I would do better doing an English translation of the song but keeping the traditional melody intact. I highly recommend checking out...
The King Shall Come - Alderon Tyran

This song has been a favorite of mine for several years since I heard it in church as a little kid. The hymn was originally written by John Brownlie (1856-1925) and was inspired by Greek Orthodox hymnody. Since it's original writing down it's had multiple melodies put to it, this one based on the version I grew up with which uses the melody of "Morning Song" by Elkanah Kelsay Dare (1782-1826) A...

Cleopatra - Delilah Montgomery ft. Alderon Tyran

Delilah and I have played/sung this song almost since I first picked up guitar, so it felt natural to be the debut song for her on this channel. While the original version of this song by The Lumineers is done with male vocals, I've always felt this song sounds better with female vocals. This song tells the life story of a woman reminiscing about "The one who got away" because she didn't take t...

First song in the "Song's From Home" Playlist, "Living Proof" is originally by Gregory Alan Isakov, and has been a favorite of mine for several years. I am estatic to finally start posting the songs that I play for family and at local events. Unsurprisingly these songs, being more modern get copyright claimed out the door so none in this playlist will have ads from me. If you like these songs a...
