Thanks to your videos, I've gotten the confidence to upgrade my own laptop. Last night I replaced the cooling fans and installed 32 GB of RAM and now it runs much more smoothly. Thank you so much!
Thanks! I was a little afraid because the laptop is brand new, and under warranty, and didn't know if i have the same model, but yes! It was successful !! PS: I didnt remove the battery or the cable
Thank you so much for this video! I've never upgraded computer parts and was nervous about opening up my new and expensive laptop, but you showed me just how easy it is!
Thank you so much for this video! Planning to upgrade my storage and as a girl who doesnt have someone who can help, this video really helped me a lot! Appreciate it a lot
Yeah SSDs don't have moving parts, while HDD do. SSDs rely on doing things electronically which makes them exponentially better than HDDS. I'm upgrading my HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop's SSD from 256GB to 1000GB because that is NOT enough for gaming lol Update: I got my 1tb ssd now i can play Gta V Story Mode, Black Ops 2, Minecraft, Forza Horizon 4, and Mortal Kombat X without worrying about space :,)
I hope you see this! Do you have the same laptop as the one in the video? I want to upgrade to 1TB but don’t know which parts I can use and can’t seem to find a way to get the answer 😂
I was trying to find where the main drive is... Thanks for your Video Explanation!! mine came with a 265 Hynix BC511 , i did also add a second drive right after i purchase myself and added 32gb total, can run games like fortnite, warzone, emulators just fine! i also stream from same xD
i am thinking of buying dk1511tx model of pavilion 15 series, which has only nvme ssd in it. Do you think there is an empty slot for HDD where I can add a SATA ssd? And how much can I add? 2tb?
Is this the same deal with the HP Pavilion 16-a0032dx gaming laptop? I've seen videos where they have the same place for the SSD, but just though to make sure.
so, SATA is way slower than NVME, should i still consider buying a SSD SATA to storage my videogames? Would it affect the behavior or speed of my main NVME SSD?
Got a question, if I was to clone the included Win 10 to an NVME drive will it retain 1:1 copy (I'm not a windows person, mac) I have a Samsung 512GB NVME laying around
5:02 cannot find this cable on my motherboard, i do however have an adapter with that teeth, will that do or do i have to get a specific cable that works on the motherboard?
if u upgrade the m.2 you will have to copy the old drive onto it before installing, the original has the operating system on it. as to how u go about doing that im not sure.
Hi Thanks for the video. I have HP Pavilion 15-au003tx with 8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM ,Can I put another RAM of 8GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM but of a different company like samsung. The existing RAM of 8 GB is of a different company. Thanks
hey guys the you know the blacksticker you see once you remove the backplate? does anyone know what that is since its covering up a part of the intake fans and my laptop also has it i dont know why its there or if its safe to remove i dont see any harm in removing it just seems like extra performance but i dont want to damage something
Is there limit for the SATA SSD you can add to this HP Pavilion? We are thinking of adding 2TB SSD where currently there is nothing (just a dummy HP plastic like the one in your video) installed.
It's impossible, the graphics card is soldered into the board same as the cpu with micro soldering bga balls. you must get a same size bga's graphics chip that's hard to do and expensive like buying a new laptop
hey sir, i have already 250gb ssd that means i can add second ssd storage? hows that works? i got same hp pavilion i just was looking to upgrade it with an + hdd but seems i can add ssd in that place too? could you help pls
i have the 16" hp pavilion gaming laptop and the only time the fans are really loud is when i boot up a game, it throttles the fans up to keep the gpu/cpu cooler and allows u to game in high settings on most games, i also stream and havnt had the fans carry over to my audio once. i cant even hear them with my headset on. but off they are loud
I have the 15 and it's the same for me to but not when browsing. happens when my wife uses the laptop and blocks the vents while on her lap. Other than that they're ok
They’re VERY loud a lot of the time, enough that I may turn my tv up a notch or two (but I listen to tv pretty low). I’m a HEAVY user though, well above average with a lot of very draining programs and I’m usually doing 5 things at once
I got an error saying operating system not found after adding a 2.5" SSD on top of the existing m.2 drive. What's up with that? I can't change the boot order in BIOS. In fact, can't find either drives in BIOS...
They probably stuck a blank in there to keep the costs down and reused an old mobo, but it feels like when they throw a few extra fries or sauce packets in the bag lol. Rare to see nowadays with everyone pinching pennies.

Why im literally do it all alone👌
I have an old 17" pavilion. It was always very slow. I replaced the hdd with ssd and couldn't believe the difference.
Then replace hdd to ssd makes the diffrence...dope i didn't know that

Hey, I'm planning to buy a hp pavilion gaming 15 ez-c200. Can I upgrade the storage to a 2 TB HDD or is 1 tb only the limit?

Can you do a video changing CPU.

For games a sata SSD is fine
What kind of screw drives should I buy to open this laptop? And to use inside for changing ram and ssd ? Thank you.

Is there any significant difference in the performance of programs running on the new drive compared to the m.2 SDD?
I want to change my ssd but don't know the size pf the screws of the metal tray, I tried all my screwdrivers but they are either too small or too big
So is this video adding to the storage or replacing the storage for a new one?
Hello!, You can have SataSSD and M.2SSD at same time??
Got a question, if I was to clone the included Win 10 to an NVME drive will it retain 1:1 copy (I'm not a windows person, mac) I have a Samsung 512GB NVME laying around

very nice
isnt that the spot to place a new hdd?
Is it possible to upgrade the m.2, if there is, is there a difference between just upgrading to the stata ssd or the m.2
if u upgrade the m.2 you will have to copy the old drive onto it before installing, the original has the operating system on it. as to how u go about doing that im not sure.

Can we add 2tb ssd sata ?? Is it support that much ??
Hi, i from Argentina, so i not speak english.. but you can tell me what memory is compatible with my notebook hp pavilion 15 ec0013dx? Plis

does this also fit on the model 15-dk1010ca- ??
Is there limit for the SATA SSD you can add to this HP Pavilion? We are thinking of adding 2TB SSD where currently there is nothing (just a dummy HP plastic like the one in your video) installed.
wich sizes of ssd can i put into it???
2.5
Whats the other ssd stick for?
Is there a way to move all the data on the old SSD to the new SSD added in the laptop?
No because if you chek the disk you will see that the old one is a boot partition and the new one is not
You have to clone the disk to the new one
I would put my files in external hard drive, because it can be a back up
Does this laptop allow a pci 4 ssd? Or only 3?
Tell me what sata ssd to use
help me, i cant remove the screw on the caddy, i tried every screw driver i have

Can I have 2 SATA SSD in my laptop ? (Same laptop as yours)

how to change the processor of the HP Pavilion gaming 15

yes you can, but the second ssd is SATA connection, not nvme.
Do all PC's HP Pavilion Gaming 15 support ssd m2??
You should already have one installed, there is only one slot for one though.

Can I just buy an SSD to add it in just like you did or do I have to program the SSD before like I have saw in other videos?
just buy and use it, its plug and play

just a basic screwdriver

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue
I was doing so but , after completing laptop is not booting
Can you have m.2 memory and an SSD at the same time? 🤔
yes
Two screws were stuck so instead of taking out the whole thing I only took of the plastic thing and put the ssd on
They probably stuck a blank in there to keep the costs down and reused an old mobo, but it feels like when they throw a few extra fries or sauce packets in the bag lol. Rare to see nowadays with everyone pinching pennies.
So what does that hard drive actually have on it? Like the operating system or user data?
Never mind, got it! Thanks jake!
I upgraded my ram and my ssd card and my computer won’t turn on I’m not sure what I did wrong I followed the video step by step
recheck your ram as they are probably not installed correctly
in your version of laptop, the fans are not very well located, you need to change its setting in bios so that they will power in turns
Since the pavilion doesn’t have an ssd, I don’t have to go through the process of cloning the disk right?
It has an M2 I believe
So the NvMe was hidden under the plastic xd
