    Very helpful info on fusible batting...I'm just about to work on doing that to my quilt (w/ Hobbs brand...yep, sticky stuff). I'm also interested in everything to do with Sweet 16 machines. I really hope you'll do more videos on that as well. Thanks SO much for sharing!!! :)

      Does the fusible batting make your quilt stiff? I used the spray adhesive on a quilt and after several washings it is still very stiff. Not at all something you would enjoy covering up with! Love your videos!

    the quilt looks great Emily and loved seeing the Sweet sixteen in action Anna. I'll have to give that batting a try on the little quilts I'm making for our NICU. We're having another snow storm here today too (southeastern Ontario, Canada) and we are also SOOO over it 😊

    I am going to try fusible batting! I have a tip for you! I learned from Leah Day, that you can put a board, about 5 inches wide or so, in front of the machine. This keeps the quilt up off your lap. It has really helped me. I layed mine on some side supports, but I think Leah actually clamped hers to her table. It just gives you a few more inches of support to keep the weight of the quilt up on the table. I really enjoy your videos, and I learn a lot! Love seeing Emily and your puppy!

    I purchased an adhesive iron on batting that leaves a lot of like feels like dirt on my table. Is it safe to use on a baby blanket??

    Hi Anna and Emily beautiful baby quilt. I have a question, since Emily is making this quilt for a friend what kind of quilt are you going to make for your own baby and are we going to be able to watch you put it together from beginning to end?

    I, too, love to use the fusible batting on smaller quilts. I also love watching you on your Sweet 16. Is the leaf pattern you used your own design? So far I am only using stencils, but I would love to challenge myself! I showed my hubby your new toy, as he has heard me talk about buying one for a couple of years now. Hint, hint! You inspire me, Anna 🤗

      I love the Sweet 16...I am a little surprised how much I love it, lol. The leaf pattern is my own...you just have to quilt with a balance of pattern and always think of a way out of the corners you find yourself in...practice practice practice :)

    • @demitch531
      @demitch531 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Practice is the key, but I am struggling with the tiny 7" opening on my Bernina 440. By the way, what brand are your quilting gloves?

    • @quiltroadies1695
      @quiltroadies1695  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure of the brand but i did get them at JoAnn's in their quilting supply department. They were more expensive than garden gloves but they fit nice and snug and I used my discount coupon :) The wonderful thing about the Sweet 16 is not only the throat space but the fact that it faces you...seems to give a larger visual field...keep hinting! :)

    Hi Anna! I just love using the fusible batting! But I have found that it leaves the quilt rather stiff! Would washing the quilt help to make it softer?
