This is the best tutorial than anyone on TH-cam right now!! its clear and and concise. Everyone else seems to be in a rush to explain what they are doing. Thank you!!!
Herr Simon, boolean works only in two values: 0 (completely smooth) and 1 (completely noisy). In the intermediate values there is a monstrous distortion of geometry.
Duuuuuude :D I was looking into this for work and started watching this video and then realised it was you! Good to see you former colleague :D Noellie
Great tutorial! Very easy to follow! Only have one question, how can i use these bushes/trees in a different project i am working on? Is it as simple as copying and pasting them as needed or does the entire node system need to be there as well?
So i copied the steps until 13:57 where my leaves are sharp like grass. It expands in a certain axis and not circular. I cant get it to shape like the video. Using Blender 4.0.2 so can anyone help me??
Hi, great tutorial, but I encounter an issue. Using the scale node I don't get the same distorsion as you do. Yours is pretty uniform in each direction, while mine gets completely squashed. That's something I've been fighting with a lot when using noise texture in geo nodes and still did not find a solution
Hey, I'm new to blender and tried to copy from this video 1 by 1, BUT somehow the shaders won't show om my objects, the object is still white. do you know how to fix it?
This is the greatest Blender video I have ever seen.

man, thank you very much for this
Holy moley! Just finish your tutorial! so awesome! thanks so much!!!! Learn a lot how powerful geometry nodes are!!!

Best tutorials for blender on TH-cam. 👍
SPREAD THE WORD !! ^~^

Noellie
Lol cheers ^^
Thank you! That is so powerfull you dont need to have textures uv maps and stuff to put into just the nodes.
absolute cinema 🖐🙂🖐
this guy looks like christian from chase atlantic. W video
Thanks a lot for the great tutorial. Please consider doing a course(paid or free) on geometry nodes.
love you Thank you for this work❣
Such a fantastic tutorial! I learned a lot about how these things work. thank you
This is awsome !!! good job mate
very nice tutorial
Great video! Very helpful:)
loved it
thx for the tutorial
I subbed because you like bush just as much as me!
This is awesome! I love your tutorials!!!
Keep up the good work :D
If this one does well, anime grass and anime clouds are next in line ^~^
@@Simon3D 🤩
Yes please!!! would love to see the anime clouds and grass! tutorial! Thanks for making this tutorial!@@Simon3D
"This geometry node be scary" *tales crocs out of spotts mode* good call
thanksss
Nice
Man, would love to try this out but im currently sick🥶
Get better soon and I'd love to see your results ^^
Great tutorial! Very easy to follow! Only have one question, how can i use these bushes/trees in a different project i am working on? Is it as simple as copying and pasting them as needed or does the entire node system need to be there as well?
But how can we optimize it the most? Cause every bush/tree i make, depending on the shape, will have crazy polycount
Спасибо бро
love your video! Can you make one for tree bark? Like for trunks, logs, etc
nice but what if i want there to be some areas that have a gap?
is there a good way to do this, and then reduce the poly count and make these into game assets with normal maps and stuff to keep the detail
This was a super informative video. Is there a way to export a model that retains the generated colors as a texture?
im afraid you would have to bake in the textures - or recreate the same shader in whatever other game engine you want to use it
@@Simon3D yeah, I was afraid of that. It occurred to me I'd have to anyway to let the shader adjust to lighting changes in-game. Thanks!
Looks like some skunky kush lol but for real cant wait to give this a go
🤣
🔥🔥🔥
but can this work in say, unreal engine, in a video game? or is this for blender use only?
So i copied the steps until 13:57 where my leaves are sharp like grass. It expands in a certain axis and not circular. I cant get it to shape like the video. Using Blender 4.0.2 so can anyone help me??

After scaling, try CTRL + A and apply scale, hope that helps
Does this work in blender 4.2?
Should work, dont see why it wouldn't :)
@ it worked! thanks for the tutorial.
This is amazing, im gonna try to make it into an addon!
What gpu do you have
Hey, I'm new to blender and tried to copy from this video 1 by 1, BUT somehow the shaders won't show om my objects, the object is still white. do you know how to fix it?
Do you assign material like at 3:50? Do you set to render view like 4:03?
Still white? In blender or engine?
great tuto!!! one question, are these types of trees optimal to use in unity?
pls another question, did u model individualy each trunk and branch to match the bush of the tree?
I didnt model anything in there. Its all generated with geo nodes. As for unity, im not sure. Best try yourself and see whether it will work well :))
Input geometry has unsupported type :(
Can you tell me which processor you are using in your pc😁?
A weak one
@@Simon3D name??
İs it possible to do that shape with displacement map
Not wirh the default textures no
I can already make animationsJust study tutorials on TH-cam❤❤❤
