As a BB Pro owner thickness hasn’t been an issue personally - though I do like this new BB 58 GMT. Would LOVE a modern GMT in the Pelagos 39 case. Perhaps even Cole ceramic bezel. So far - we only have GMTs in the heritage BB lineup…
@@neillevy4087 The "Jubilee" doesnt have rivets, which makes it great. The monochrome 41 with jubilee has nothing fauxness on it. I wish for a non gilt BB58 GMT on the "Jubilee".
I probably laughed more than a sane person at Zach W pulling out the calipers, but that was hilarious. The gilt Coke dial was unexpected, but definitely imbues a bit more Bakelite feel in many photos. Leave it to Tudor to not give fans exactly what they wanted though, which was a BB58 sized Pepsi GMT (no gilt). We know Tudor is capable of releasing more than one color on a new model, but they don't so they can have something "new" to release in following years. The non-diver Black Bay refresh last year shows they can give us more than one colorway in a single release, which makes it all the more frustrating. As for the Black Bay 41mm diver, I think it is gorgeous and the modern look was unexpected. It's the closest we have to a Tudor Submariner at this point, though I do lament Tudor fearing the date outside of GMTs and S&G on the Black Bay line. I'd love to have both options available. I personally was hoping for an all blue version with white markers, or a blue Pelagos 39, but I guess that frees up some funds for other watches this year. Thanks for the video!

The blk/why 41mm BB is as close to a Sub as anyone who doesn’t have an in with a Rolex AD will ever get. I got the Pelagos 39 - if I didn’t have it I’d be getting this.
In some shots the gilt GMT bezel looks almost yellow which isn't to my taste. It looks nicest in shots where the gilt colour appears lighter. Will be interesting to see how it plays in natural light.
I don't understand why both Tudor and Rolex have to trickle out watches one colorway at a time. Would it kill them to offer some choices from the get go? Most brands do this.
Why is the triangle so much smaller on the 58 GMT? It looks too small and (perhaps because of that) seems to be placed a bit too high on the dial. Other than that it's lovely.

Guys, I left a comment at Bark and Jacks saying that if you try not to focus so much on the back color aspect of the bezel, it looks like a Vintage Pepsi Bezel, the variant with the Bakelite Navy Blue/Red bezel, kind of similar to what ID guy had put up as a fantasy prediction on his channel. It came close but I have noticed Tudor always try not to be a conflict of interest with Rolex, the black my have been them trying not to. As for the new monchrome version, I say this with some anxiety and excitement, it may take a while for our eyes to catch on to it. This is why Rolex is a success because they do not make drastic design changes, collectors get comfortable with their designs. Taking away the gold accents, kind of going to be a struggle for all fans, taking away the diamond shape counter balance on the seconds hand, seems very odd with the diamond shaped hour hand. In my opinion, that feature has to be cancelled out

Got to admit, looks like a vintage style GMT-coke, but here is my hot take and the ugly truth: STILL, even if it was a $2k watch, I would NEVER wear a Tudor as I'm a mainstream watch guy like most people and a watch for me is a status symbol and a way of communicating to others a certain level of wealth, because it is the only classic jewelry a man can pull off and it is something to show others success or wealth in a certain way (if you like it or not, it does). If you do not care about that or if you are a watch-nerd, this is probably the one to get, but the majority of people will always see this as a cheap Rolex sibling. The only Brands one should wear (only applies IF you are a mainstream guy like me) are Omega, Cartier, Rolex, AP, Patek, Vacheron, JLC. Wearing anything else will make you look like a tool (again,..for the majority, the mainstream) and you should be aware of that.
Almost anyone not in to watches will find spending 4.6K on a watch ridiculous and still works as a status symbol if that’s your goal. You should buy something because you like it and it fits the budget, NOT buy something to show people you have dough to burn (or pretend to have money).
Is it though? Every year they tweak the designs to what people wanted. How many times did people cry for the bb gmt in the 58 size? People complained about how thick the bb was, they thinned it down by 2mm. At least they're listening, where as rolex do whatever they want.
I am a Tudor and Rolex fanboy… but I don’t like any of their releases this year, except for the platinum 1908 which of course I could never afford. No one asked for a Tudor Coke, we wanted a GMT MII Coke. And it looks like a Monta Skyquest with that guilt. No one is going to buy a $30K Tudor, you’re paying for the gold, not the watch. And Tudor discontinued the Glamour Double-Date which was stunning! They never even distributed that in the US! So frustrating! I guess only my wallet thanks them for all these lame releases.
:( color is a YUK! It's still a bit of a thick slab side. Longines Zulu Time Hodinkee Limited Edition is way better. Titanium, no thick slab side, very tool-ish design. The only downside.. It's a Longines.

Knocked it out of the park with the 58 GMT. Of course I'd prefer no rivets, but on my Harrod's BB I don't notice them much when wearing it.

The new black 41 with the jubilee, I was hoping the inside (hands erc) would be that gold ish colour that they were on the burgundy
In some shots the gilt GMT bezel looks almost yellow which isn't to my taste. It looks nicest in shots where the gilt colour appears lighter. Will be interesting to see how it plays in natural light.
