I’ve been dealing with this pain for 5 years. Goes away for a couple of months and then is back for months. Thought I would lose my mind. Even pain meds didn’t help at times
Copper Bisglycinate worked fast for me, 2 days and gone, for me. 2 mg is normal dose, I took it up to about 12 mg for two days and back down to 2mg. It is totally gone as of now (2 weeks). Learned about it on Dr. Berg's TH-cam channel.
Magnesium Glycinate - 500 mg (natural anti-inflammatory), along with Omega-3s, and the B-Vitamins. Those options were mentioned on another physical therapy channel.
@@PT4Everybody Sciatica (in my case) was brought on by stress and sitting too long in front of the computer. And then pulling the lawnmower engine 💥 . And yes it was very painful. But not serious, nor lasting. Take care everybody.
I am sorry to hear that! It sounds like your symptoms are progressing so I would recommend finding a Sciatica Specialist who can help you get to the root of your problem. Although it can be a challenge to find the right person in your area, I promise you the long term benefit will be worth it. I wish you the best!
I have a chip from a disc in low backed lodged in the S1 nerve. Will I have to get chipped removed in order to regain the feeling in my right foot which is partially numb and tingling due to this chipped. Any suggestions?
hey thanks for this... i have had sciatica since January and I am a 28 year old male. I sustained a 14mm herniation to my l5-s1 disc in a combat sports incident. (mixed martial arts.) I have gotten injections and have done ~5 months of PT but still very much not close to normal. still occasionally have pain all the way down to my foot. cant bend over at all really. any suggestions? I am not looking for pain to leave, but to treat the root cause so i can get back to doing what i love.
Careful going back to what you love, it is are past behavior that put us here. I have an inversion table I use every day to open my vertebrae and stretch my muscles and tendons, I started slowly and now I'm upside down for 10 minutes a day, pain free. Good luck.🤔
I'm sorry to hear this. All I can say is try little walks, plenty of stretching and most importantly (in my case) try to keep your weight down, so not to put unnecessary weight on the pain. Good luck.🙏
Hi Dr. Amy. Would like to say thank you for your advice regarding sciatica pain. I have got a good relief from using ice pack and not stretching on the affected side.
I had sciatica pain since last may for 6 months so bad that i was literally lying on bed all the time even lying was painfull so i sleep on floor some time but literally exercise helps me a lot there are some stretches that help me to relieve my pain.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s inspiring to see how you’ve found ways to manage your pain through exercise. Wishing you continued healing and strength on your journey!
So she says the way you’re moving could be the root cause of sciatica? So is it a question of are you keeping your back straight and are you avoiding twisting type movements?
@@PT4Everybody Well, my sciatica has reappeared after a 2.75 year absence. It’ll flare up and then go way, and then flare up again and then go away again. When I think it’s gone for good, my lower left hip will get stabbed with that cattle prod again! But in between bouts, if I sit up straight in the chair keeping my lower back arched and if I walk keeping my back straight and upright, the time between bouts become longer. Perhaps that’s what you mean when you say “the way you’re moving could be the root cause of sciatica.”?
Thank you for asking! Moving correctly is crucial for your safety and progress in your fitness journey. I appreciate your interest in understanding the importance of proper form.
I'm going through an episode now.. I find you have to take pain relief what ever suits you... Then I treat my self gently I smother my low back and bottom thigh with tiger balm and really rub it in hard then I use a massage machine.. Then I put a hot water bottle on it that gives me relief Untill I can start to move with less pain.....
No doctor have your vitamins levels because I was B1 deficiency and magnesium and pen med wanted to operate on me for a pinched nerve was b1 deficient and I have talked to 4 different doctors until I found the nerve doctors on you tube
Honest to God, it’s like being tortured. I went 37 months the first time. With complete GP neglect. Had surgery, that worked and 11 years pain free almost. This time 7 months of the most agonizing pain, you don’t know what pain truly is, until you go through this severe of chronic pain. I am not healing, I’ve done everything and only had 5 weeks off work unpaid. Now back at work and can’t take it. 3 years to see a surgeon in Canada let alone get a surgery. Ive been sober for 7 years, I don’t smoke I eat right I swim, I invert, I stretch I walk. I do ice baths. Core resistance exercises. None in excess.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It takes a lot of courage to be so open about your struggles. I'm sending positive vibes your way, and I hope you get the support and care you deserve soon.
I've sciatica for about 3 years, goes down right side of body! Somedays are difficult! Did a year of massages, acupunture, etc and small relief but now in 2023 still struggling with this problem!!!!!!! Not a happy senior!!!!!
I am sorry to hear you are still struggling after 3 years. It sounds like you have tried many great options already. If possible, you might try finding a Manual Physical Therapist in your area who can help you understand why this sciatica pain is not going away. Best of luck!
A dr. Phisio therapist offered epidural steroid shots -herniated disc level 2. -since then, my life is in hell , I never knew a pain what I have now, sharp pain numbness. Changed diet drastically since then, not bec I like it , bec I want to heal .

Those are all great, natural supplements to take when dealing with inflammation. Thanks for dropping them here!
I take those for a long time but don't do anything for me
It didn't start until I started taking these vitamins 😮
The answer to this question is yes (in my case) but it takes time (about two weeks).
So glad to hear you have gotten full relief from your sciatica pain. I hope this is an inspiration to others!

Not necessarily. Everyone is different
Really good clip. Makes sense. My whole back journey just seems to be getting worse. My flares are taking longer to come right

Movement is Life! How you are moving is important to your healing and all motions should be available to you.
