I dont care what anyone else says. I really liked this game. Most of these people admitted they played it for one hour, maybe two, and gave up. Most of that time would've been spent on character creation and the introduction. How are you going to judge a game if you barely played it. This game does have issues, but it's still pretty great. If they do make the second one i hope they do expand the mechanics, locations, features, etc, but in a world of games that are mindnumblingly boring, samish, and anything but unique, this one hooked my interest right away.
yeah i agree, from what i've seen - people just don't give it enough chance and say it's boring when they started which i thought the same to be honest but overall, it was great imo!
The game is good at being mediocre. It came out in a time when people were starving for RPGs, around the time of the pandemic. Greedfall shares a very similar fate imo. Neither games do anything new. They were special at being average in pretty much everything.
I bought the game at launch, i played it, within an hour or so, I was doing this mission, finished it, talkes to buddy, he gave me my reward, & as soon as he did every npc in the city started attacking me, created a new character, same thing, i never sold the game i just let it collect dust, a couple years after i decided to give er a go, to end up at the same part & same bug, so again gave it up, it just came out of PS extra for the spacers choice edition, i am currently downloading it, cause I hate having a game I own that i wasnt able to give a fair shake, but if it happens again imma be pissed lol.
storywise when I was near the end, I thought it was halfway only, and when the game dropped "the end" on me, my jaw just went free-falling, WHAT? definitely, developers cut it short for an unknown reason, I just refuse to believe it was meant to be that way
Outer Worlds is a basically the opposite of something like Skyrim, in that while it isn’t very wide, it’s really deep. You can play the game three different times and have entirely different experiences. If you replay it you should try turning in the guy who saved you, for example. You can straight up join The Board and experience the game from their pov as the bad guy. Edit: My point is that doing one playthrough may make it feel short, but once you realize how many options a single playthrough has you’ll realize where all the manpower went. There’s so much stuff you’ll just never see in a single run.
I beat this game when it first came out old gen...I still remember that feeling like a scar because gosh....I was barely falling deep in love with the game to do that 😅
I love this game because of the freedom of choice, there is just so many choices, it’s like being able to get one thing in a store, so you’re deciding and deciding, it’s my favorite part
I played this game when it released for the Xbox One back in 2019. Instantly loved it. From the looting aspect to the world and story/dialogue. Finding myself replaying it on PC now that it’s free on Epic. Really good game. It’s soundtrack also plays a big role for me. I love the orchestral music throughout most of the game. Truly brings out the scale of the world and shows why everyone in it feels so small (and kinda depressed haha).
Just got into it. Did a mission where I looted meds for this sick guy and this girl wanted in on it too. Game him the meds instead and since he was using it as a junkie I ended up killing him then I was able to loot the meds back! and sell it to the girl as well! Easy 2k in the first 30 minutes of playing. 10/10 game.
I really liked that game. Played through the original, the dlcs and the spacers choice edition (didn't care much for the reddish shaders), and had much more fun doing so than with Fallout76, or Starfield for that matter. It has the best aspects of Fallout without its flaws, the endless grind and the feeling that you are doing chores instead of playing a game. I also didn't need a single mod to enjoy it, while any Fallout without mods is unthinkable. I'm really looking forward to the sequel - if they just expand on it and do more of everything, I'm perfectly happy.
This is one of the best RPG’s I’ve ever played. Just picked it up on PS+ Extra with all the DLC and I haven’t stopped playing it. I was considering going for a 3rd playthrough on TW3 but I’m glad I found this! I can’t recommend it enough
Broooo that’s hilarious. I got this game and TW3 on PS Plus. And they made TW3 wayyyyy harder than before and I started playing The Outer Worlds and it’s AMAZING! That’s so funny.
I got this at release, tried it out finished a couple of the side quests but never finished it because I was stuck in my Destiny grind at the time. Now that I've quit Destiny I went back and finished fallout 4 and started a new game with this, and I'm really enjoying it.
Epic (Canada, if it matters, since I don't recall us being offered this for free before) is promoting it as next weeks "free game of the week" for beginning of April 2024 (4th to 11th, till 11am). The upgraded version, with the DLC included. I hope that's true, I'll grab it and take it off my Steam wishlist (were it's on sale for $70). I say "hope" because Epic has teased a free upcoming game that ended up disappearing (original Fallout trilogy, last month)
@@noahfuelgaming8121 This may not help you, but they have individually been offered free through Amazon Prime Gaming, in connection with Good Old Games. So it took me longer, but I did end up with F1, Tactics, and this week F2:BoS 😁
Not only Canada but The Netherlands as well!! I just looked it up! LET'S GOOOOOO! Thank you so much for sharing this information, you've saved me quite a buck!
I really enjoyed this game when I played it back in 2022. I didn't get very far but I already enjoyed it, and I could see where my decisions when playing really factored into that. My ex is the one that bought the game originally and he was so eager to get off world, he didn't pay any attention to any of the beginning NPCs you talk to. When he got to the spaceship, he was disappointed, expecting something more, and quickly gave up on the game because he missed a lot of background story development and info. Idk if its just me, but when I really made an effort to explore everything, get as much loot as possible, and talk to EVERY NPC and not just skip through dialogue, I became so invested in the story. By the time I got to the ship, I was hooked. I haven't picked it back up since but I just got the Spacer's Choice edition for free on Epic Games so I'm really excited to give it another shot and see if I still feel the same!
SERIOUSLY it's pure and concentrated I was thinking the same thing and made a comment too. Whenever I hear certain phrases here and there in this video I can't help but crack a smile. This guy has the most extreme british accent I've ever heard.
I mainly played this more than fallout. As it’s in space and in different planets like Ratchet and Clank, is what got me stuck and spent hundreds of hours in this game. It got me feeling good during the pandemic
@@RemainMoonI’m hoping the sequel will polish things better as well. I really liked the first one and it seems the sequel will be bigger with more funding, so It seems it’ll be a lot better
For me yes. After the heartbreak that is Starfail, I returned to OW in 2024. Finally finished it last month and even started a NG to try different builds
I grabbed it for free on Epic. No complains there. I would compare it with Starfield, although w/on space game play. Even with its 5 years of age, the looks is on par if not better on several maps, the dialogues, the sound, the maps system etc. While it is no open world game and may not have such a high budget production budget, it is still a high quality game. The game has a fast map switch and fast travel system. So the overall experience is smooth and pleasant.
I’m replaying it now, I originally got it on release physically for the ps4. I just reinstalled it on my 5 and honestly forgot how much I enjoyed this game and its writing. Some of the best, funniest, dialog writing I’ve seen in a bit. I’m so happy to see that we are getting a second game, in a world of live service games filled with micro transactions, it’s nice to have a good solid single player game that’s made by talented people who truly care about their work.
I just started playing outer worlds again recently, i played it on release and liked it but never finished it, and im currently right before the last mission but ive started to play the dlc, and honestly the rpg aspect of the game is great, im playing as a silver tongue space cowboy only using pistols and 6 shooters. The dialog in the game is great and the feeling of the gun play and leveling system. my only issue is it was kind of hard to learn the UI again and the questing system is a little wonky
I havent watched this yet, but I say yes! I just picked this gem up after playing Prey 3 times over and just feeling like I needed to play something else.. At first i had no idea what to expect, and almost didnt continue to play from the intro, glad i did, its quite fun, very extensive, and its really interesting to see who will want to kill you and who will want to befriend you etc.. missions are fun, not too far apart from each other, but like prey the loading is a bit much, but I dont even mind it when the quality of content in the game is as much as these are. That said, Prey is my all time favorite game, this one may be top 10 after a week of playing, but i guess depends on how it ends.. but the dialog aspect of it is quite brilliant! imo its better than fallout.. i couldnt get too deep into that it was a lot of confusing things you had to do to then do something else.. but that could be just me, they make this easier than that .
@@CalzeeDefinitely underrated. Critically it did well, with some like Skillup being in love with it, but the reception among your average player has sadly been middling at best. It’s bizarre.
Good informative stuff. Nothing over the top, no simp content and crazy amounts of memes. Coming from playing cod for years to settling down and playing single player games more. This is a easy sub
love this game, put 90hr on it a few years ago and recently started a new playthrough. highly recommend, dialogue, art design, and character development are phenomenal. highly recommend
Played when it first came out got pretty far I thought but just got the ps5 version (free) and I’ve been playing the hell out of it it’s pretty good and understated honestly we need more content on the outer worlds literally can’t find any lore videos on it just videos No voiceover and just clips
I'm gonna answer the title before I watch the video, to just give an opinion. Might edit after with more. I just started this game for the first time, on my Switch. Before you ask, yes it runs iffy at best, like, 20fps if lucky, and it's graphics are lower and there's pop-in, but it's still fun, especially if you're used to that kinda stuff. It's giving me heavy Fallout vibes, for obvious reasons. Also gives me some Starfield vibes, having played that before this. I wouldn't say Outer Worlds is perfect, far from it. I wouldn't even say I like it as much as the Fallout games (I absolutely love the Fallout setting, which is a big part of that). BUT, it's still fun. It's a Fallout styled game, by the people that made New Vegas, with a Space theme. And it still even has that Fallout world vibe sometimes, with abandoned buildings, scavenger type enemies, mutated looking animals, and run-down towns and outposts. So my answer would be, yes. Totally worth playing. I mean, I'm having fun and I'm playing on the lower quality laggy Switch port. I imagine literally every other version is even more fun. Then add in that PC probably has mods to fix any issues with the game you may have. -- Also, to mention Fallout 76, since the video did right away. I wouldn't necessarily say it's worth playing. It depends on the person. In 76's case (and Elder Scrolls Online), there's fairly heavy limitations to inventory and storage space, that can only be fixed by spending real life money on their monthly subscription plan. THEN you get bonus storage, bonus this, bonus that...most of which is stuff that SHOULD be in the game for free, but isn't because Bethesda wants subscription money. IF you can handle having a stupidly smaller inventory, stupidly small storage, and a fairly limited build budget, or if you really wanna spend money on the subscription, I'd recommend playing it. If you can't handle a small inventory/storage, or just get annoyed by the entire concept of limiting free players' basic functions to sell subscriptions, then I wouldn't recommend it. Aside from those issues (that are BIG issues once you're actually playing), the game is actually pretty fun. I mean, I play Fallout to wander and explore, and 76 is just one big Fallout to explore, but multiplayer. But you also have to enjoy the more FPS style Fallout 4 gameplay, since it's pretty similar.
Tried this game recently, played about 2 hours and its not clicking with me sadly. However although its not for me, I'd still recommend it to friends for its humour, action and RPG elements
I started playing today. The first 3 hours of this game are incredibly boring. But once you start getting into the quests more freely it gets real good
@@mikeuk666 some people are not really into RPG game, me on the other hand could loose track of time just to figure out how to finish the quest, not to mess things up, or be stealthy, etc. Next thing you know.... aaaaand it's Monday already! LOL!
@@quatreraberbawinner2628 it certainly does. Perhaps why it was so feasible. But most importantly I actually enjoy it. It wasn't a chore compared to almost every other game I've played. I've enjoyed tomb raider too but with many many breaks (trilogy, rise included but haven't really begun the shadow iteration.) and another game was Mad Max which I've joyfully completed as well. Saints row the third as well, all these three games may be the only ones I've completed.
I tried this game when I got a series X on Game Pass about 3 years ago, and quit after 15 minutes because of controller FPS. I'm definitely going to play this on PC
Whenever this dude says worlds I can't help but crack a smile. This guy definitely has the purest thickest British accent I've ever heard. Regarding the game I've always been thinking of giving it a try but honestly I'm just so worn out when it comes to these Bethesda era Fallout esque games. I couldn't bring myself to play Starfield and I played like 5 hours of Fallout 4 before I turned it off and never played it again. The last game like this I enjoyed was New Vegas and I dumped hundreds of hours into that game but I feel like New Vegas was the peak of this genre and everything after it is just lacking. I wish they would go back and create more Isometric Fallout games I love 1&2 they are still my favorites I was interested in The Outer Worlds just because of the OG fallout creator's involvement but looking at it and it's really just another Bethesda Fallout type game there is probably a heavier emphasis on story telling but I just really don't want to subject myself to these games and the obsession with incessant looting and hoarding.
As someone who played this and beat, and likes these types of games….. I am finishing up God of War and wanted to go back to this and try the dlc. So thank you, from small Southwestern Oklahoma. Great video, and just what I was needing. Very well done!
Hey ignore this if you want to but a game I want to see your honest opinion on is Trepang2 a fast paced shooter that blends horror into it just like it’s main inspiration F.E.A.R I still have yet to complete the game but I’m just saying I want to see your honest review for it
Just got this for free on Epic. Also, 6:52 "Almost 5 years later which is crazy", 5 years is crazy? Dude, I play I-War and Freespace 2 from 1997 and 1999 respectively.
I just started paying two days ago I’m loving it. I had an itch from Fallout 4 so this was perfect honestly. Obsidian knows what they are doing. Any recommendations on games like this? Who let you play whatever way you want with a bunch of dialogue options? These are my favorite type of game now.
Hey calzee, a game that gets mixed up with outer worlds a lot is outer wilds, you should really give it a try, it might not be the style of game your used to based on what I’ve seen from your channel, but I think you’ll really like it🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’ve heard about it and funny story, I actually got confused the first time and was very close to buying the outer wilds by accident until I realised. I will check it out though!
I finished the game but found it really lacking in some areas, constantly the same enemies and I thought locations just weren't that interesting. I wanted to like it but just couldn't.
@@KILLERKID0605 I agree the exploration part kinda a bit lacking, but I won't say some places aren't interest, because some do imo... some interesting landmarks, abandoned places, few living towns have unique npcs with some side quests to do, some good and some aren't, but I just wished the sequel we'll have more places or even planets to explore. About enemies, especially human enemies yes I also agree most of them are the same. But a few unique monster enemies do stand out. Same with weapons also feel all the same, but the game also offer five very unique science weapons that I like to use. Those things aside though, what keep me playing is the story and characters... like some new dialogues pop up if you have do or found certain things before them get mentioned by the npcs, and some npcs do remember things you've done in the past and in other places... it makes me feel like the game has a sense of coherent worlds in it. But then again, the game still has many flaws and hopefully the sequel would be a massive improvement from the first one.
@@KILLERKID0605 well, I'd say the dlcs especially murder on eradinos added a new region/planet to explore, and peril on gorgon added new quest (obviously) with its detective-like story... oh and the dlcs do increase the level cap, very nice add on if you play on the original version. Then the dlcs story, well I quite enjoyed them... it's like a nice little detective-like investigation, adding nice numbers of more hours to play the game. I can't say more about the story, since everyone has their own taste. But what I can say the dlcs don't really add anything special except the story that I quiet enjoyed which also added some new lore for the main story.
I tried it but the world just felt completely soulless for me. The story sounds interesting but I couldnt care less about the impact of my choices in this one for some reason.
I bought it when it came out because it was the opposite of Fallout 76, even when the game has the bones of a Bethesda game. When F76 was announced, they revealed it as a multiplayer live service game. I wanted more of a singleplayer exprience, and I knew Obsidian were good at mirriroring Bethesda's and Bioware's exprierences while adding their own flavor to it (KOTOR II, NW Knights II, FV New Vegas, etc) I know they aren't perfect (Dungeon Seige 3, Alpha Protocol gameplay, etc) and so even though the gameplay overall may not be as good as NV to plenty of people including myself, I do still like the physics and some of the mechaics like time slowdown. I like the persuasian and dialogue system, and the characters, etc. The premise and plot still kept me interested. I think Obsidian are sort of the underdogs of the industry that got put under Microsoft's wing to allow them to grow. I want them to take their time with The Outer Worlds 2, and address the issues that contributed to people calling the game "mid" which is what I hear most of the time whenever I bring this game up.
If you're gonna play it, play the original version. the Spacer's Choice edition sucks. throughout my couple of hours of playing there have been multiple frame drops and constant crashes eve no the LOWEST POSSIBLE SETTINGS.
Yep, it's an Issue with the Spacer's Choice Edition. I played the original for the same amount of time and I experienced no frame drops and no crashing
I have gone back to it a few times, but I always end up feeling bored and burnt out. The gameplay mechanics feel really basic and underdeveloped, and the story and quests aren’t interesting enough to keep me playing. The game just feels really surface level to me. It’s like a proof of concept game. The reception that Starfield got may mean that more eyes will be on the sequel to this game though, so let’s hope that they execute the sequel well. I want a good space RPG that I can really sink my teeth into.
I just got it. It feels a little stiff but I’m enjoying the characters and writing. I think I’m gonna like it enough. It’s only been an hour or two but I’m enjoying exploring every hill and building so far. It’s too bad they had to cut a bunch out to get it done. Good price though with the dlcs included.
I finished the spacers choice version 100%. All DLCs Full Codex 19983 Bits (Wow ez to find them huh) All Secrets All Endings All Normal + Psycho routes On the hardest difficulty In my ship i even had all science weapons and all regular ones All cosmetic armor Incredible reputation from ALL of the corporations. I truly think that to understand how good the game is, you have to play it slowly like it did. Going around the map Looking for stuff to do And sneaking near enemies. Doing a 100% completion was so, so good. Hot take, but for me this game is better than Fallout New Vegas
i think people don't give it enough chance. play a few hours and then get bored. it seems to really pick up and it's more of a slow progression game where if you sink many hours into and discover lots then you'll appreciate more and more just like you! glad you enjoyed!
This is a game tailored for people who enjoy classic, older, slower RPG's. It's about taking it slowly and immersing yourself in the world. It's not for everyone. People calling it boring was the reason I picked this up. I immediately knew I'd love it. LMAO
@@johnarvanitis9328Totally agree. Imo it’s actually a lot like NV - a slower burn that prioritizes writing, player freedom, and open ended quest design. It really seems like those that get bored by it are the types that prefer, say, Fallout 4 to NV.
I’ve seen people say this game is shallow and boring.. and I can’t really disagree with that assessment, but I still love it lol just something about it is so much fun to play in my opinion.. the art style, the worlds, the insane characters and over the top personalities, the locations u explore for loot, it’s just all so satisfying to move through
You can argue that it’s boring, I mean for someone that doesn’t want to sit and listen to dialogue for a significant chunk of time that’s totally a fair opinion to have, but calling it shallow is just plain untrue.
Good game, new bag as has so much more content tho so it’s hard to compare, side myssions are easy and okay but I have like 20 / 30 hours in it, nes vegas hours are around 2600
I haven't played it since january 2020. If you've never played it sure, but tbh it's a very mid game outside of story & RPG choices. I really dislike the lack of many weapons and variety of armor sets. I went in with the expectation of a New Vegas in Space and it didn't scratch that itch. I think the world, art, and presentation is interesting. However, I feel the game overall was half baked.
Good game but way too short. If the core game was gonna be so short they shouldve just gave each company you work for have repeatable missions on each planet. Say for instance on the first planet when you help the marshal hunt down those 3 bandits. Why not keep having you kill random bad guys? Or if you work for Sublight Salvage have you take on repeatable missions hauling frieght or something? I like the game a lot but the lack of much to do keeps me from repeatable playthroughs and/or jumping back in to replay it.
You’re not meant to play forever, that’s why there’s a definitive end to the story. Where this game shines is in repeat playthroughs, there’s loads of stuff you’ll never see if you only go through it once. You should try messing with different dialogue options, maybe kill important NPC’s and see what happens. Hell, you could even turn in the scientist who saves you and see what happens. This game isn’t very wide, but is deceptively deep.
Thanks for this overview, got it for free on Epic and considered if it might be worth a try... Rather not my cup of tea, seems like yet another pre-scripted game aka the genre I commonly find pointless. Was hoping for it to be more like the Far Cry open world experience..which is the only genre I like aside from competitive titles which I play 95% of the time.
I didnt realize this game had so much discourse surrounding it. I thought their marketing was very clear about what the game was suppose to be. To many people wanting games to be good at everything. It doesn’t work like that.
@@TheFuriousMulattoThe game *does* have good rpg mechanics, in fact that’s easily what it does best. What it doesn’t do well are combat and open world non-linear exploration. So for those wanting the next dopamine filled, shallow Bethesda game, this won’t be it.
BEST GAME EVER IN MY OPINION, IT GOT RID OF MY DEPRESSION, I CAN DO ANYTHING. I AM THE MATPAT OF THIS GAME, I HAVE NOT FOUND THIS GAME BORING. I LOVE, But Spacer’s Choice? The Spacer’s Choice Edition is literally made from Spacer’s Choice. Disgraceful. I have memorized certain lines. I have ranted and ranted to friends about this. I have made Outlaw Survival Journals, and I plan on making a scientist’s journal on testing Adrena-time on someone, having it slowly turn them into a marauder. I want to live in the universe this game is made in. I live for this game. I will not sleep until the 2nd game is released. I, and I mean this extremely, more extreme than killing a manti-queen on supernova, I *LOVE* THIS GAME. There is nothing that will make me hate this game, I love the lore, I love exploring, I am trying the Gorgon DLC. If it’s boring for you? Too bad, you don’t understand what this holds for you. Anyways, are you interested in buying some Spacer’s Choice Manti-floss? It cleans it better than that SAM robot “cleaning” the Board.
NICE. it seems like theres a lot of people who love this game and a lot of people that really dislike it for many reasons. glaf you enjoy! i found it not bad! enjoyed others more tho.
Loved the game and gameplay. Plots and dialogue need major fixing. I don’t wanna listen to 5 mins of non entertaining dialogue to do something. At least hire smart writers with REAL LIFE experience. Not everyone wants to sit down and invest their whole entire life into the game
I wouldn’t say the spacers choice is fully worth the money and I heard it has issues on console for some reason. It may have changed but I’m not sure as I played through on PC. Personally I would choose the base edition.
Playing it compare to Starfield and it’s definitely better. Better looking, it runs better (I’m playing the original version) Setting is better and the game hooks in right in and doesn’t waste time like Starfield with its boring ass introduction.

Oh that sounds good, hopefully it happens
US too, beginning April 04th
I would have definitely wanted to play Fallout 1 and 2 to see what the Interplay Fallout games were like
@@noahfuelgaming8121 This may not help you, but they have individually been offered free through Amazon Prime Gaming, in connection with Good Old Games.
That is one BRITISH f***ing accent

SERIOUSLY it's pure and concentrated I was thinking the same thing and made a comment too. Whenever I hear certain phrases here and there in this video I can't help but crack a smile. This guy has the most extreme british accent I've ever heard.

I mainly played this more than fallout. As it’s in space and in different planets like Ratchet and Clank, is what got me stuck and spent hundreds of hours in this game. It got me feeling good during the pandemic
You spent hundreds of hours in a game that has barely enough content for 40 hours of gameplay? What a madman!
Nawwatives, stowy, chawacters, weally, wepwayability, awea, diawogue, awter, categowy, wandom, way guns, vawiation, wecon, assassin's cweed, wecwuits, vawiety, compawison, vibwant, expewience. Love it.

So the overall experience is smooth and pleasant.
glad you enjoy it! it's not bad, i'm happy it's free!
Just finished on ps5. So much fun :)
ay! nice one!
How’s performance on ps5?
@@SoulPotato007 we'll never know
I’m replaying it now, I originally got it on release physically for the ps4.
I played it this week for the first time. Can’t put it down
I just started playing outer worlds again recently, i played it on release and liked it but never finished it, and im currently right before the last mission but ive started to play the dlc, and honestly the rpg aspect of the game is great, im playing as a silver tongue space cowboy only using pistols and 6 shooters.
That said, Prey is my all time favorite game, this one may be top 10 after a week of playing, but i guess depends on how it ends.. but the dialog aspect of it is quite brilliant! imo its better than fallout.. i couldnt get too deep into that it was a lot of confusing things you had to do to then do something else.. but that could be just me, they make this easier than that .
for sure! it's kinda underrated
@Calzee just beat it first time through. Looking forward to completely different decisions next time !
“Simp content”? Are you 15 or something?
@Mrchair905 no I'm 30. I say that because much content these days capitalises on over sexulising females to increase viewer count easily.
I just started yesterday and my experience so far its like Fallout meets Mass Effect. Can't wait to play more.
I loved Firefly, so this game just fit perfectly!
my thoughts exactly, its like Firefly and Fallout mixed
love this game, put 90hr on it a few years ago and recently started a new playthrough. highly recommend, dialogue, art design, and character development are phenomenal. highly recommend
--
Also, to mention Fallout 76, since the video did right away.
2hrs 😂
@mikeuk666 I mean yeah, how long do you put into games until you make a decision? 10 hours?
I started playing today. The first 3 hours of this game are incredibly boring. But once you start getting into the quests more freely it gets real good
@goodtimejoe1325 interesting, I'll have to look into this, thanks buddy
@@mikeuk666 some people are not really into RPG game, me on the other hand could loose track of time just to figure out how to finish the quest, not to mess things up, or be stealthy, etc.

'Tis one of the very few games which's story I've actually finished from beginning to end. It's truly a rarity.
It helps that it can be beaten in like 4 hours

Haha! Nice
I don't even care about all the Fallout comparisons and other nonsense. I play this game because it is great. I do not need approval.
As someone who played this and beat, and likes these types of games…..

So how is it?
I played about 3 hrs at release and found the game pretty boring tbh.
3 hours? wow...
With those "many" hours I just landed on top of someone's head (literally) then did the basic tutorial.
@HourajiBallare Hmm maybe I'll give it another go! No harm in it. Do you have any experience with the DLC? Do they add anything of value?
Looks way better than fall out 4 which I am currently playing. Forgot how good this game was, I beat it so fast and then forgot about it.
I tried it but the world just felt completely soulless for me. The story sounds interesting but I couldnt care less about the impact of my choices in this one for some reason.
well I just got the Spacer's edition for free on epic games so I will definitely playing it in 2024 for the first time
Glad they’ve done this!
Same, its so fucking good. Its really what starfield should have been
Ah man, I can't believe I missed that. It's been on my wishlist forever.
I want them to take their time with The Outer Worlds 2, and address the issues that contributed to people calling the game "mid" which is what I hear most of the time whenever I bring this game up.
i agree with most of this, the reason i played it was because of fallout 76. i enjoyed it more but at the end of the day, could've been a lot better
If you're gonna play it, play the original version. the Spacer's Choice edition sucks. throughout my couple of hours of playing there have been multiple frame drops and constant crashes eve no the LOWEST POSSIBLE SETTINGS.
Are you sure that’s just with the SC edition?
@@Calzee I'll have to play the original version to find out
Yep, it's an Issue with the Spacer's Choice Edition. I played the original for the same amount of time and I experienced no frame drops and no crashing
@@noahfuelgaming8121 interesting

I truly think that to understand how good the game is, you have to play it slowly like it did. Going around the map
Looking for stuff to do
And sneaking near enemies.
Doing a 100% completion was so, so good.
Hot take, but for me this game is better than
Fallout New Vegas
i think people don't give it enough chance. play a few hours and then get bored. it seems to really pick up and it's more of a slow progression game where if you sink many hours into and discover lots then you'll appreciate more and more just like you! glad you enjoyed!

If you’re on about it being improved since spacers choice launch then yes it has in the 1.1 update I believe
I’ve seen people say this game is shallow and boring.. and I can’t really disagree with that assessment, but I still love it lol just something about it is so much fun to play in my opinion.. the art style, the worlds, the insane characters and over the top personalities, the locations u explore for loot, it’s just all so satisfying to move through
I agree tbh
You can argue that it’s boring, I mean for someone that doesn’t want to sit and listen to dialogue for a significant chunk of time that’s totally a fair opinion to have, but calling it shallow is just plain untrue.
Good game, new bag as has so much more content tho so it’s hard to compare, side myssions are easy and okay but I have like 20 / 30 hours in it, nes vegas hours are around 2600

I’m about to start Outer Worlds right meow 😊
I haven't played it since january 2020. If you've never played it sure, but tbh it's a very mid game outside of story & RPG choices. I really dislike the lack of many weapons and variety of armor sets. I went in with the expectation of a New Vegas in Space and it didn't scratch that itch. I think the world, art, and presentation is interesting. However, I feel the game overall was half baked.
i can agree with most of this, it's not bad
They said this game wasn't the best, they weren't seeing starfield, tihs game is miles ahed of starfield.
It’s the same people that made fallout Nee Vegas is it not? I feel like the comparison is valid
I didnt realize this game had so much discourse surrounding it. I thought their marketing was very clear about what the game was suppose to be. To many people wanting games to be good at everything. It doesn’t work like that.
lol imagine thinking wanting an RPG to have good RPG mechanics is "wanting games to be good at everything"
@@TheFuriousMulattoI don't see anything wrong with it
