Can i recieve money if i live in Pakistan?
I'd like to ask what's the difference between Request payment, and transfer via "Receive from people on wise to your wise account without an account details".
To my understanding, request payment creates a payment link that others can use, and in the senders perspective it works like paying for online shopping, the recipient they see is wise?
Receiving from people on wise to your wise account, how would that work? If they send in USD, do you recieve in USD on your USD balances automatically? What if you don't have a USD balance account?
And what are the fees in these 2 situations?
Hey there 👋 Yes, when you request money, you create a link to share with the sender. We'll show them the details they should enter while sending money. To be able to use this feature, you'll need to have an open Balance and enabled account details. We explain this in detail here: wi.se/request_money
For receiving money without sharing account details, if the Contacts on Wise feature is enabled, other people who know you can sync their contacts, and you’ll show up in their Recipients. If you've marked a primary account, then we'll show them the details of that account. If the Contacts on Wise is enabled, we’ll find a match to your Wise account - you'll also need to have an open Balance for this. More info here: wi.se/receive-without-account-details Learn how to mark a primary account here: wi.se/set_primary
There are no fees to receive payments using your account details, except for receiving USD domestic or SWIFT wires and CAD SWIFT payments. You can find more information in the links above.
Feel free to contact us at wi.se/contactus or on Facebook, Twitter/X or Instagram, if you have further questions.
I received money through wide for a brand deal I had with a foreign company. It says I need to input my USD bank details but I don’t have a US bank account, I’m Canadian. So when I enter my bank details, it tells me they’re invalid even though they are correct. Do I have to open a wide bank account to receive money or can wise money transfers be sent to the current Canadian bank account I already have?
Hey there. In your case, it may indeed be a good idea to open an account with us, in order to receive these funds.
With that said, please note that even though you may be situated in Canada, that you'd be able to receive USD, in a USD balance in your account with us, by sharing your account details with this foreign company.
So for more info on how to open a balance, go here: wi.se/openbalance - and to learn more about receiving funds from third parties using your USD account details, click here: wi.se/howdoiuseusdaccountdetails
Furthermore, it should in fact be possible for this company to send you USD to your CAD bank account using our send money feature, but keep in mind that in this case, a conversion would take place, which would come with a fee set according to the mid-market rate: wi.se/midmarketrateinfo - and if you'd have opened a USD balance in your account with us, then you'd be able to receive USD directly, and without a conversion having to take place first.
We hope this clarifies things a bit. But please feel free to send us a PM, or DM, on Facebook, Instagram, or X. We'd be happy to help you 💚
Hey I have a question. My client said he already sent the payment on wise but I still didn’t receive any email showing such. How many days would it take for the transfer to reach my account/reflect on my balance?
Hi. If you get the email depends on if the sender attached it to the payment, but you can see from here: wi.se/howlongpaymentsbalance how long it can take.
If you need an update on your payment, feel free to reach out to the sender about it 🙂
To quality content, congrats
That's what we do here, thanks for that 😉
Hello sir, Id like to ask you a question.
I have a new Wise account that has no balance at all, and I need to top it up with 20 Gbp to get access to my bank account details.
Can I use the "receive money without a bank account" feature, with only the share link to send to friends who have Wise, so that I can receive money? And then get access to my bank account numbers when I have enough balance?
Cheers.
Reply very appreciated by the way :)
Hey there! Generally, if you want to obtain account details, you need to open a balance in one of our supported currencies, and top up your balance using your own external bank account that is registered under your name. More info here: wi.se/getbankdetails_
Also, it sounds like you can't open a balance to do so. In this case, check if you're eligible to open it here: wi.se/balanceavailability_ 🙂
Hi, is the feature "receive payment by email or phone" available on business accounts? And how to specify which currency we want to receive money in when using this way of receiving money?
Hi, there! It's possible to sync contacts to find people on Wise and pay them only through their contact info: wi.se/contact-sync-friends However, this features isn't available for business accounts, at the moment.
As for the currency, this is set up from the sender's side, so it's always good to communicate with them about the currencies that you can receive in your account.
Hey I have a question, I live in a small country called Brunei, and I want to open a Singapore balance because SGD has the same value as BND which is my country's currency and they can be accepted in both countries, so is it possible for me to receive Singapore dollars and transfer it to my bank account which is in Brunei?
This question also applies to when I have to pay to deposit money when trying to get account details.
Hey there 👋 At the moment, we don't offer our balances feature to the customers residing in Brunei. This means that you can still open an account with us and send money, but you can't obtain account details to receive money from others. You can see it here: wi.se/balanceavailability_
However, you should still be able to receive SGD directly to your local bank account.
Rest assured, we're continuously working on expanding and bringing more features to our customers in the future. Since the situation can change, keep an eye on our communication channels to see if there's any news.
Hi Wise! I want to transfer money for the first time. Does the other person get my full name which is on my bank account? Or do they only see my email. I want to make a transfer without the other person getting my name. Is that possible?
Hey there. Thanks for your interest. When you transfer money through Wise, the recipient should see your name as it is on your bank account, and if you transfer it from your Wise account directly, they'll see your name as it is registered on Wise. See here how to send money with us: wi.se/howtosendmoney
You can also check out this article for sending money with an email address when you don't know your recipient’s bank details: wi.se/moneytoemail And you can send money with a link, but you can only do that from your Wise balance: wi.se/sendmoneywithlink

Hello
Is there any button for donation through Wise I can put into my website?
Hey Ioannis. That's a great idea, but it isn't something we offer at the moment. We'll let you know once we have a solid update about this. As an alternative, you can request for a payment into your Wise account by following these steps: wi.se/paymentrequest
If you have any other questions, feel free to drop us a DM on other social platforms or call/email us: wi.se/contactus. We'll be happy to help.
I am from Malaysia. Wise business got no physical card to use for transactions. I have few ques in doubts. As business wise acc can’t send myr balance. Can I use personal wise account (director of company ) to request myr payment from local business bank ? 2. Can personal wise request payment from wise business ? 3. Is it alright if send usd from business wise to any personal wise in huge ?thanks
Hey, Gan. Greetings to Malaysia! To answer your question, personal account is mainly for personal transactions only. It sounds like you'll be making business-related transfers. For that, you'll need to create a business account. Afterwards, you should be able to pay for your transfers using your external business bank account.
Since we don't support transfers from MYR for business accounts, you can pay for your transfers with USD/EUR/GBP via SWIFT. We explain more about this at: wi.se/swiftpayments
If you're planning to send money from your business account to a personal account, that's possible. Note that it depends on the currency. You can send USD. More about that here: wi.se/business-transfers-restrictions
You should also be able to request money from anyone. Just note that if it's a business-related transfer, you'll need a business account 🙂
This is my first time to use wise. Does wise hold payment? I would like to set up wise to send invoice to my client but I am not sure if I can receive it as soon as possible. If money is onlhold, how long does it take?
Hey there! In some cases, we might need to perform a verification process on transfers that move through us, these verifications are usually very fast, and we'll let you know exactly what info we need from you, but we'd never hold a payment without due reason. More on this here: wi.se/howlongextracheckstake
Most of our transfers are done in under 20 seconds, but you can check more about how long transfer takes, here: wi.se/howlongdotransferstake
If you need any help, you can DM us to any of our social media channels, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
Hi sir, I wish to ask if you make the conversion from PLN to my EURO account ? if someone sends me PLN from a Polish bank, will it be converted to Euro directly to my wise account ? Thanks a lot.
Hi, there! You can receive PLN into your Wise account if you have PLN account details. Learn how to get them here: wi.se/getbankdetails After you receive the amount, you can convert it to EUR: wi.se/moneyconversion 🎉
I don't have PLN account details and I can't have it now, do you make the automatic conversion to my Euro/Usd account ? i.e a friend sends PLN from a Polish bank account and I receive Euro in my account directly without the PLN details ?
If you're receiving EUR from outside the EU SEPA zone, the international payment will require correspondent bank details. Most banks will auto-generate this using the SWIFT database: wi.se/swiftpayments
You can only receive EUR to these account details. If we receive payments to these EUR account details in any other currency, it'll get rejected and sent back to the sender. But if the sending bank sends a SWIFT payment to us through another currency, the intermediary banks along the way might convert it to EUR - in this case, we can credit it to your EUR account. Learn more about how to use your EUR account details here: wi.se/howtouseyoureurbalance
Can I use the digital card to buy from restaurants and markets?
Absolutely, Ahmed! Use your digital cards to pay with your mobile wallet in-store or for online payments. Here's how to start: wi.se/wisedigitalcard_
Hi.
Let's say someone, pher example from the UK were to go and work in a country like Denmark, Norway or Switzerland pher example.
Were they to get payed in their local currencies be able to just recieve that currency by giving their IBAN?
Does the currency have to be changed to the one you have, in that case british pounds?
Is there a way to have the currency be the one in those country (CHF pher example).
Regards and thank you for your time.
Hi 👋 We don't offer bank account details for DKK, NOK nor CHF, so it wouldn't be possible to receive money in those currencies unless the sender is also a Wise user.
You can receive money in EUR, GBP, for example, but more about that here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney.
Hope this helped, but let us know if you have any other questions.
Hi there! Thanks for the info - I’ve just opened a Wise account as my mum recommended me to it - she said that I could simply take a photo of my paychecks through the app and that’s how I could cash them - is this possible? I haven’t been able to find this function in the app, thanks!
Hey, Lilyella.
Unfortunately, this is not a feature that is currently available on our app. If you'd receive your salary on your Wise account you can this TH-cam video for the different ways to receive money, or you can read more here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney_ Additionally, you can learn more about how to add money on your account here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances_
If you have any other questions feel free to DM us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter or you can also contact via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus_
We're always happy to help 🙂
Hi! When I go to home, I can’t see the open account add sign. I can’t open US account😢.. what should I do? Thanks in advance!
Hi. If you're not seeing the Add option, then the Wise account might not be available to you: wi.se/balanceavailability. If you look through the list, and your region is supposed to be supported, then reach out to us: wi.se/contactus, so we could look into it.
Do i have to put funds first to verify my account?? Is that it?
Hi there 👋 Everyone needs to get verified eventually. Sometimes you'll be asked to verify before you add money and sometimes we'll ask for verification when you're setting up a transfer.
It can be different for everyone! Verification does take 1-3 working days to be completed, though, so it might be best to verify your account before you plan on setting up a transfer. More info on verification here: wi.se/getverifiedguide Let us know if you need help with anything else, we'll be here!
I have opened a Wise account in Canada, but I'm currently in Haiti.
I've tried many times to send money to it from a card linked to an account under my name without any success. Does that mean Wise does not support cards from some countries ?
And also, is it possible to receive money via some tranfer companies like Western Union and others ?
TIA
Hey, Anchelo.
When it comes to paying for a transfer via card, there are some cards we don't accept payments from - you can learn more about this here: wi.se/unsuccessfulcardpayments.
Additionally, when it comes to receiving money from Western Union, as long as the payment is sent as an electronic bank transfer, then we should be able to receive it. This means that Western Union will need to convert the money to an electronic bank transfer before sending it. Additionally, we can see what methods we can't payment from, check here: wi.se/incompatibleaccountsandcurrencies.
Should have any question on this, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Twitter (X), or Facebook. Alternatively, you can also contact us via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus.
i'm not able to get my account detail when i use the debit card option. it says this , "sorry card payment method is not available for this payment. what do i so?
Hi. Sounds like you can't pay the money in via card, since it's not supported. You can pay the money in via bank transfer instead: wi.se/payingbybanktransfer, but if you need any help with it, do reach out to us: wi.se/contactus, so we could help.
Does sender need wise account to send money internationally to a wise user?
Hey, Aadi 👋
If you're looking to received money into your Wise account from a sender that doesn't have Wise then, yes this is possible. Receiving money to these details works just like a regular transfer. Just share your Wise account details with the person or business who wants to pay you. You can only receive payments in the same currency as your account details, so make sure you select the right currency and account details for the payment. For more info, check here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney
Should you have any other question, DM us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Alternatively, you can also reach us on email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus
Thanks for providing this video. My question is can money be transferred from WISE to AMAZON WALLET? If yes, can it be transferred and received on the Amazon wallet immediately?
Hey, Christian 👋 As long as your Amazon Wallet has account details in our supported currencies, we should be able to send money there. We suggest that you reach out to Amazon to see if the can receive money from us.
If you have our card: wi.se/getthedebitcard, you can also add it as a payment method to your Amazon Wallet. All you need to do is to follow these steps: www.amazon.in/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GNQFBWDZJN838JZF

Hey can you make a detailed video on how to go through a verification process. When we want to receive money for very first time. As they charge one time payment to open a balance
Hi Sru! If you want to receive money, you'll need account details. To get your first set of account details, we'll ask you to:
👉 Add 20 GBP to your account (or the equivalent in your currency). Keep in mind that you can use these funds later for transfers, or you can withdraw too, if you'd like.
👉 Verify your identity.
For a better understanding on how to open a balance, verify your identity and get account details, check the following guides:
👉 wi.se/create-a-balance
👉 wi.se/verifyyourid_
👉 wi.se/getbankdetails_
Also, thank you for the recommendation. We're trying to make videos on all important things and will for sure consider this too.
If anything remains unclear, feel free to reach out to us via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Or you can also email/call us using this link: wi.se/contactus_ and we'll be happy to help 🙂
@@Wise thanks this is helpful
You must change the currency in each country in the Wise app? Or you keep your own currency - when take out money from ATM.
Great question! If you see the option to open a balance in this local currency, you can convert a sum and hold it with your Wise account. That way, you're not paying conversion fees per ATM withdrawal. Otherwise, you can continue holding your money in your preferred currency, and we'll charge a conversion fee when conversion is needed.
hi, there is any way to have a chargeback? once the balance is positive, there is any way the sender can reverse the payment?
Hey, there! Once a payment is completed, it's not possible for the sender to reverse it - unless there's a card transaction dispute, or you're asking for a refund from the merchant. More info here: wi.se/reversetransaction

Hello. I have a question I just created a wise acct but I can't receive money. My client can't search my email it says no email found. What's the problem?
Hey there 👋 You can ask them to double-check if they entered your email correctly. We explain more here: wi.se/moneytoemail
You also need to have balances and 2FA enabled to be eligible to use the feature, unless it's not your primary account: wi.se/set_primary And in this case, your address information should be filled out.

@@Wisethanks for the feedback ... i have already consulted this page you shared, my problem is i can't enable this feature because the menu to enable it and allow people to find me by email weither on the web or the app isnt available on my business account (i can see it on my personal account, but not on my business account) .. and as long as i cant enable receiveing money by email (for my business account) people will not find me on the web or the app! .. could you please help?

Hi, I have been using Wise for some time now. And I have a question about the "Request a Payment" option. I understand it will generate a link with details to send money to my account. My question is, the person about to send me money, does not have a wise account. What's the way in that case? When a non-wise user wants to send money to my wise account.
Hi Nabid 👋 If the sender doesn't have a Wise account, and you share a link with them, they'll see the amount, currency, and bank details they'll need to send money to. Keep in mind that, if they don’t have a Wise account, you can only request money from them in a currency you have account details for. Find more on this here: wi.se/creatingpaymentrequest
If anything remains unclear, feel free to DM us on Facebook, Instagram or X. Alternatively, you can email/call us using this link: wi.se/contactus
I just created an account but they r telling me that I can only send but not recieve, what is the issue ?will they send me a receiving option?

In india , through wise can we receive payments from the us if yes please tell us
Hey, there!
In case you're located in India and you wish to receive from the US, you'll be able to receive USD or EUR via SWIFT, if your local bank allows international payments.
You can check more info here: wi.se/swiftpayments Just keep in mind that it can be slower, and have some additional fees which we don't control.
Feel free to send us a message on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help 🙂
Hi. At 2:30, you say that we will be able to use later the money we add to the balance (in order to get the account number). However, it seems to be wrong, Wise is asking to pay this amount. I contacted the Wise support and they confirm that "This payment is not a deposit but a one-time setup fee for your Wise business account. It will not stay on your account, but it covers the cost of getting bank account details in all available currencies." In other words, I have to pay GBP 45.00 in oder to receive payments (yes, in my case, the amount requested is GBP 45 !!).
Hey, Laurent!
If you're opening a Wise business account, indeed, you'll need to pay a fee when signing up. Check more info here: wi.se/business_fees
In case it's a personal account, then it's when you add money to your account as it's explained on this link: wi.se/getbankdetails
We have a specialised business team who’s happy to look into your matter, and help further if you have any more specific questions about your account. Please reach out through email or call from here: wi.se/contactus. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
You might also want to check our Business FAQ from here: wi.se/help
Thanks.
Is it possible that getting money as USD for the wise account and credit them to the local bank account after?
Hi there, agent here - thanks for reaching out. Yes, this is possible, however you would need to get a USD balance and account details, so that you can share these details with the sender. See the guide here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney Once this done, you can then set up your external local bank account, as your primary account. Here are the steps on how to do this: wi.se/markprimaryaccount
Please bear in mind, that due to operational changes in the US, we've had to make changes to some Wise Accounts, and in this case we've temporarily stopped issuing USD account details to new personal accounts. We're working to fix this as soon as possible, and we'll keep our customers updated on any changes: wi.se/getbankdetails
Please feel free to reach out to us over on social media for more help. This can be on X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram - we're here to help 💚
Hi Wise, I'm from the Philippines, which is included on the lists that are not eligible to open a balance (USD account). I recently created an account since my employer is from the US and my salary will be sent through Wise. What can I do about this?
Hey, Ninzy. If you don't see the option to get account details on the app or website, then it means the feature isn't available for you, and you can't receive money to your Wise account at the moment. We're working hard on making this available in the Philippines again, but we don't have a timeframe just yet. You can keep an eye on wi.se/balanceavailability - We'll update the info there once the feature's back 💚
Hello
A virtual Visa or Physical card must be provided for Egyptian accounts. It will be very nice. You can do this for an annual fee.
Payment must also be provided through the QR code for Egyptian accounts
Hey there. We haven't reached Egypt with our card yet, but you can add your country to our list: wi.se/cardwishlist_ This way, you'll be the first to know when we get there.
How do I receive funds into my Wise account in Japan? When I click on my JPY balance in my Wise account it reads "No account details available yet". What information do I need to provide to the sender of the funds so that it reaches my Wise account? Thank you.
Hey there, Brian. Thanks for reaching out. We don't have the account details feature available for JPY just yet, so the sender wouldn't be able to send JPY to your JPY balance directly. Check out what currencies we do offer this feature for here: wi.se/balancecurrencies
With that being said, your sender is able to send JPY to your GBP account details using SWIFT. From their end, they'd just enter your GBP IBAN as the receiving account. Just keep in mind that some intermediary banks may charge your sender extra fees for sending money via SWIFT, though. More info here: wi.se/gbpdetails
If you have other questions about this, or need more help, feel free to reach us via DM on Facebook, Instagram, or X. We'll get back to you ASAP 😊

Hi wise. Ive been using your service for like almost one year. However all the conversion will be processed the next day while my friends using the same method and charge usually convert instantly. Can you help why?
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. Please keep in mind, Some transfers can take longer than expected, depending on the payment method used, conversion times, or when the transfer was set up. And, we share more info on this here: wi.se/whymytransferistakinglonger

Hello my account is personal not bussiness, why i don't see option to recieve via email?
Hey there. There are some limitations to our money to email transfers, but generally, your sender should be able to see the option to send to you.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us on our other social media platforms or via phone and email here: wi.se/contactus
Do I need to add money into all my balances before getting account details for that currency?
You don't need to add money in all balances to get account details for the currency, Ambe. Once you make a deposit of 20 GBP (or equivalent in other supported currencies) in on currency and submit your ID, you should be able to get your account detail, not only for that particular currency, but for all currencies that with available account details. Check out this page for more info: wi.se/get-bank-details
I'm in India and the app is not showing the currencies option on home, how can I get access to that option
Personal currency accounts with virtual bank details are not available in India at this time.
how can I generate the link or QR code to receive money for my account? For example, a user visits this link, types any amount of money, and sends me.
Hey there. You won't be able to generate a QR code in order to receive payments through our platform, in order to receive money.
And when you create the link in order to request money from someone, then you'll have to decide the amount that they'll need to pay, when setting it up - for more info on requesting payments, click here: wi.se/creatingpaymentrequest
If you'd like for someone to be able to decide how much it is they'll send you themselves, you'll need to share your account details with that person - to learn more about the account details feature, go here: wi.se/getbankdetails
Hope this helps, if you have any other specific questions, then feel free to send us a DM or PM, on Facebook, Instagram, or X. Thanks for bearing with me.
Hello wise , can indian citizen also receive money from international.
Hey, Saurav 👋 You can receive INR to your bank account in India, including NRE and NRO accounts, or UPI ID - Simply share your bank details with the sender. More about INR transfers here: wi.se/guidetoinr
You can also receive USD and EUR via SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments. But please note that this type of payment is more expensive due to the multiple intermediary banks involved with delivering your money to us.
If you have more questions, feel free to reach out to us via DMs on our other social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook). We'll be glad to assist you there.
What should the sender do minimize costs? A video or info on this would be awesome. I see many options to select in my banks website for sending swift transfers about who will own the sending fees. Also there is an entry for ABA code for sending swift but I don't see that number in my Wise account details (USD)
Hey, there. If you'd like to receive USD, it's free or low cost for the sender to send via ACH. If your sender is sending via SWIFT, we'll charge 4.14 USD for you to receive it. Your sender will need to check with their bank on the sending fees. We explain more about this here: wi.se/usdbalances
To answer your next question, ACH number is the same as ABA number. You can just key in your ACH routing number 🙂
Hi just newby here, i normally add money by the manual transfer which on problem ,however when i tried to do by id pay its still not adding to the card more than 24 hours, what should i do??
Hi, Pattanee! You're trying to add money to your Wise account, right? If that's the case, you can take a look at the estimated timeframe it takes to reach you here: wi.se/howlongpaymentsbalance - this depends mostly on the currency you're adding. Please keep in mind that weekends and holidays can affect, as most payments are processed during workdays.

Wise I encountered a problem a few days ago while assisting a client. They gave me their credit card information and told me to complete the transaction on my own; they said they would approve it, but I have no idea how. Would you kindly tell me how I can conduct transactions through wise in this manner?
Hey there 👋
To get paid by card by your customers, what you actually need to do is send them a link, so they will insert their own details and confirm the payment.
You can check our tutorial at wi.se/paidbycardbiz 👈
I live in Haïti.
For the moment, I don’t have a credit card, i don’t have a debit card. can I use someone else's card to make the $20 deposit required for account activation?
Thanks !
Hi there 👋 Generally, you can only top up your balances using the bank account that is registered under your name.
However, we're afraid we don't offer our multi-currency account feature for the customers residing in Haiti at the moment. This means that you can still open an account with us and send money, but you can use your account to receive money from others. You can find it here: wi.se/balanceavailability_
Rest assured, we're continuously working on expanding our services and making them available for more customers around the world. Since the situation can change, keep an eye on our communication channels to see if there’s any news.
What should we choose local or global account details.
If I am in India and want to receive money fro UAE.
I also don't have option of bank account details of UAE but wise option exists
Hello, Akshay 👋 We currently don't support transfers from AED. If someone wants to send you money from the UAE, they'd need to pay via SWIFT through a local bank (if it supports international payments), either in USD or EUR instead. You can find more info on that here: wi.se/swiftpayments
And you'll want to open a balance in any of the currencies you wish to receive money to, and just share the details with the sender. Please also check the currencies pages for more info:
- wi.se/guidetoinr
- wi.se/aedtransfers
In case you need further assistance, please reach out via PM in any of our other social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook) - we'll be happy to help.
Dear Wise, I have two questions. I received money in USD and my account is also in USD but the sender said it was rejected. Then now canceled. Why did it happen? Second question, when I received money, why the money didn't go to my wise balance? Thank you
Rejections can happen due to many reasons, Emy. The sending bank should have received a reason for the rejection, so it's best to ask them about this.
As for where your money was credited, it will depend on how your sender set up the transfer. If they entered your external bank account details, the money won't be credited into your Wise balance.
If you'd like us to have a closer look, send us a DM on any of our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), or call/email us here 👉 wi.se/contactus_
Hi, I am having the same problem. Money was recieved according to my transactions but it doesn't show in my balance. How did you fix it?
If I receive money to my Wise card, can I use that money to send it to another wise user? Or is it tied to my card and not my balance?
Hey, there. If you receive money to your Wise card, it will be in your balances. You can send the money to an external bank account or another Wise user. Here's how to do so: wi.se/sendfrombalance 🙂
Hey, how do I add my debit card to withdraw money?
Do you mean you'd like to withdraw cash from an ATM using your Wise card? 🤔
If so, your card should work with most ATMs that accept Visa/Mastercard. More info here: wi.se/usingaforeignatm
If you still have questions, DM us on any of our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), or call/email us here: wi.se/contactus
How much will be charged the other side.Example from Euro to GBP, if you request to send you money? thanks
Hello there 👋
There are no fees to receive payments using your account details. We share some more info here: wi.se/paymentrequest.
Hi Wise! I am currently looking for an alternative to PayPal for transfers from Vietnam to EU. What would your fee be for 250USD, sent from a Vietnamese bank account to my Wise USD balance? Would this be possible?
Some people say they can use Wise from Vietnam to other countries, some others say they were not able to.
Many thanks!
Hey, John! As each transfer is unique, the fees will change depending on the way you wish to pay for the transfer. The calculator will always show you all the fees we'll charge you, learn more here: wi.se/sendfees
If you're sending USD from your bank in Vietnam, you'll need to send this money via SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments
However, in order to receive in a Wise USD balances, you'll have to have this feature available in your region. Check the list from this link: wi.se/balanceavailability
Feel free to reach out to us via PM on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter in case you have further questions 🙂
Got a message from WISE that the transfer is complete. In that message it says that WISE received 115.20 EUR from company X to transfer to me. Right underneath that, in the same message, it says "You received 85.20 EUR." That's almost 20% less... why!?
Hey there, thanks for reaching out. Without specific details, we can't say exactly what happened, but there is a possibility on what could have happened here.
If you're receiving EUR outside of SEPA, the transfer would have been sent using SWIFT, which can occur some additional fees along the way, as it's being sent between correspondent banks during transit. This is likely why you're receiving 85.20 EUR instead of the total 115.20 EUR. See more about SWIFT here: wi.se/swiftpayments
Feel free to send us a PM on one of our other social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) with some more info about this, such as what currency you're receiving, where you're located, or the transfer number if you have it. That'll allow us to take a look at this and give you a more specific answer here.
Hi, Wise. I'm from the Philippines, and I can't seem to find the "open" option on the app nor the "add money" on the web's homepage. What can I do about this? Thank you!
Hi. Balances are currently unavailable for newer customers residing in the Philippines. This is due to high demand. We don't have an exact timeframe on when this feature will be back, so we'd recommend keeping an eye on your email inbox for any updates.
We know this might be disappointing news, but our team is working hard to bring this feature back one day. If you have any further questions or feedback, then feel free to reach out to us on Twitter (X), Instagram, or Facebook.
Hello! I'm currently in India and have been placed on a waitlist while trying to open a Wise business account. Can you provide an estimated timeline for when the onboarding process will resume? I need this account to receive payments from European Union customers for my online store's sales invoices.
Hi Osman, thanks for reaching out! We don't quite have an estimated timeframe at the moment, but our team will be sure to let you know if any changes are made. Keep an eye out for updates and let us know if we can help with anything else.
It account details there no name of bank. Most banks outside of US require the name of the bank. What should we put there?
Hello there. To find the name of the bank, just go to your balance and click on your account details. After that, just click on the question mark next to 'Wise's Address'. You'll be able to find the bank name in that section.
Feel free to reach out via our social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram) or email/call us here: wi.se/contactus
It says on my account that
"As you're in the Philippines, you can only use your account to send money"
How can I receive money from USD? I have a new account. Please tell me the steps.
Hey, Christian 👋 Due to high demand, new customers residing in the Philippines currently can't open Wise balances. This means that you still can open a Wise account and send money, but you can't get account details to receive money from others. We’ve had to turn this option off temporarily, and we’re working on getting this enabled again as soon as possible.
As a solution, you can still receive USD to your external bank account via SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments. But please note, this type of payment is more expensive due to the multiple intermediary banks involved with delivering your money to us.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us via DMs on our other social media channels (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter). We'll be glad to assist you there.
Hey wise, I just transfer money from my PayPal account to Italy transfer wise account but the money just arrived on my wise account but it didn't show on my wise balance, what should I have to do further or should my money can be refund to the PayPal?
Hey there, thanks for reaching out. In this case, we should've been in touch via email with more info about the transfer and given a possible timeframe, for when your money might show in your balance, so please be sure to check your inbox. Please note, that we can't track incoming payments before they reach to us, but you can check this link: wi.se/howlongpaymentsbalance to see how long it takes to receive money into your balance after conversion.
Alternatively, please contact us via social - either on X/Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, and we'll be able to look into this transfer for you. You can also contact us through this link: wi.se/contactus. We're here to help 💚
Hi wise, can I deposit cash to wise balance at paypoint?I currenly living in UK.thanks!
Hey there. As an e-money institution, we're unable to accept physical cash for deposits into the Wise account. Your card is linked to your balances, so all you need to do is make a top-up to your Wise account. We explain how to add money here: wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances_
@wise If you have a wise debit card can you pay in cash at the post office in the UK - would this be the receiving payment via card option?
Hi, I see this message stating "Payments under 5 EUR, and over 9000 EUR, will be returned to the sender". I'm confused.. does this mean that I cannot receive anything below 5 EUR forever or just once? Since it later states "this is so there's enough balance to cover conversion fees etc"
Hi 👋 Can you please clarify where did you see this message? If it's simply to receive EUR payments into your Wise account, then we don't have such limits, as explained here: wi.se/howtouseyoureurbalance_, and here: wi.se/borderlesslimits_.
@@Wise I've just created an account and I see this under "Account details" section. I believe it's a first time usage requirement. I think I will just ask this on email with the screenshots. Thank you. (And btw I'm extremely loving the experience :)
We're glad that you are enjoying the experience. You could definitely email us about that or send us a DM on the channels we support (IG, FB or TW)
Make sure to include your membership number, full name and the screenshot of what you're seeing.

Let us know if anything comes up.
Hey, I'm working for UAE based company I reciev my salary in dollars.
They only do direct bank transfers, I mistakenly gave them wrong swift code and now its costing me week of late payment, moreover I don't know how much my bank will deduct to make the transfer.
I am thinking of opening a wise account and routing my payments from US as my employer pays in dollars. I don't want to deal with my bank here in India, but I'm not sure what happens when wise transfers to my Indian account. Will there be additional charges from my bank. etc
That's a great question, Sachin! To receive USD into a Wise account, you'll need to open a USD balance and account details for the currency. You can find some info on that here 👉 wi.se/howtoreceivemoney
Another option would be if your employer can send from their USD account directly to your local INR account. To do that, it'd be a standard transfer, which you can find some info on here 👉 wi.se/guidetoinr
As for fees, you can test to see how much it'll cost here: wi.se/ourfees If you receive the USD directly to your account using our account details, though, you won't have any fees for receiving the money.
I have two questions:
1. I have a wise business account and I want to receive money via "email address" instead of bank account. How can i receive it ? I already have tried and sender told me that he couldn't find account associated with this email.
2. I also have a personal account with different email ID which i am not using. I want to close that personal account or want to merge that account with my business account. How can i do that ?
Thanks
Hey there, Azhar 👋 Sending money to an email only works on our website, not the app. You can find more info about it here: wi.se/money2email
There are different ways to receive money to your Wise account, too. You can read about them here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney
And, to close your personal account, follow the instructions here: wi.se/close_my_account

@@Wise ok, after deactivating my personal account , can I create new personal account with my business account which is registered with new email ID and phone number?
If your account was deactivated, then we don't suggest opening up a new one, since the same thing would most likely happen. You can also have only one personal account with us, so seems like we're unable to help out with this. We hope that you'll find another solution for your needs.
I can't create multiple payment links with the option to pay by card, it tells me "You've exceeded the 20,001 GBP daily limit for Card payment requests. Please retry tomorrow." I haven't even gotten half of that yet. 🤔
Hey, Dariusz. There's a limit on the total number of payment requests in a 24-hour period, as these limits allow us to mitigate some of the risks inherent in providing credit services. We explain more about the limits for receiving to your Wise card here 👉 wi.se/receive-card-payment
Since you mentioned that you haven't receive half of that amount, could you send us a PM on Facebook, X, or Instagram, along with your membership number? We'd love to have a closer look at this for you, Dariusz. Let us know how it goes 🙂
Hi, I have both revolut and wise. If I want to send usd from revolut to wise, how would you do it the cheapest way? ach or is there an easier way?
Hey there, Javier! When you set up a transfer (wi.se/addmoneytoyourbalances) and open the “How would you like to pay?” section, you will see the prices of our fees, and you can check there what would be more convenient for you.
But if you're looking for the cheapest way, we believe it would be ACH, yes. If you have any other questions, please send us a private message in our other social channels, and we'll be happy to help! Happy holidays 🎄
Hey wise, I have a question i wanna bring some money from israhel to my new Zealand bank account. If i done via wise is any possible to deduct huge tax from nz or israhel?
Hey there. If you are an Israeli national, you can send and convert ILS to NZD with the fees we show you up front. You can try your wished transfer here to see the exact fees: wi.se/sendfees Make sure to select the right payment method for a more accurate price. Or if you're not an Israeli national, we can accept USD/GBP/EUR via swift as well: wi.se/swiftpayments
But if by tax you mean any governmental taxes, for incomes or similar then it all depends on your transfer reasons and the parties involved. We're not able to give you any tax advice on that.
More about ILS: wi.se/transfers-ils
More about NZD: wi.se/guidetonzd

Hello, my sender wants to send me money via swift on my wise usd account. Who will be the beneficiary (me or bank) and which beneficiary address he will need to put in transfer details?
Hi 👋 We explain how you can use your USD details here: wi.se/usdbalances, but if anything remains unclear, do let us know.
I would like to know,
1. Will our nationality be visible when someone added us by email as their contact? Or like its appear next to our profile pic? If yes, how do we hide it? Is there way to change it?
2. When we tf money USD to USD, will the receipent be able to see our address name, phone number etc through PDF receipt they gotten in the transaction?
Cheers and thanks for answer 🙏🏻
Hey, there. Generally, the country account beside the profile icon refers to the currency, and it typically shows up for recent transfer contacts. If someone adds you by email, the currency flag is usually not visible.
When you send money to someone, it would show your full name, registered address, but not your phone number. Also, transfer receipts are not automatically sent to your recipient. You'll need to manually download it and share it with your recipient. Learn more here: wi.se/getpdfreceipt
We hope these answer your questions 🙂
@@Wise got it. So it stays private thanks..
Another question, Do full name and Wise account holder mean the same thing? is it possible to change it if we aint comfortable showing our name in public? for example our full name matches the national card ie; John Snow. but we only show aliases ie: Snowman etc ?
That won't be possible because the name on your Wise account should match the name on your Identity card - it can't be an alias. It's like when you open a bank account, your info is the same as the one you have on your identity document.

Hello wise! I'm very new to wise, and can I know whether Sri Lanka can or cannot receive money from overseas via wise?
Currently it says I cannot send anything from Sri Lanka, but I want to know if someone from...let's say, US for an example, can they send money to SL via wise? Thank you in advance:)
Hi! You can receive in LKR into your external bank account in Sri Lanka. Check here for more info: wi.se/guidetolkr
Find more info on how a sender can use our send money product: wi.se/howtosendmoney
Since balances are unavailable, you won't be able to receive money into your Wise account directly. However, if you have an external bank account, a sender should be able to send you money there using our product above.

@@Wise hello it seems Sri Lankans can only setup personal accounts, so if I am the receiver, will I be able to receive money from a sender outside of SL?
You don't need to create an account with us to receive money to your external bank account. Only your sender, who is outside of Sri Lanka, needs to create a Wise account to send money to LKR.
Just to clarify, if you create a Wise account, we don't support receiving money directly to your Wise account. This is because balances are not yet available in Sri Lanka. Also, only personal accounts are available in your country. Business accounts are not available yet, if that's what you're asking.

Hello dear 👋
How can we sen payment from our wise account to someone's bank account in Pakistan while we are having USD .
Waiting for your reply.

Hey there! If you have USD in your Wise account, you can set up a transfer normally, and once you need to select the currency you want the recipient to receive, you choose PKR. We'll convert the money from USD to PKR.
This means that your recipient will receive PKR. You can find more info about sending to PKR here: wi.se/guidetopkr - if you need any assistance, you can reach out to our DMs on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. We'll be happy to help.

Hello there! I am from South America and want to buy some products from a store in Canada with free shipping worldwide. They accept several ways of payment, but Wise isn't one, and I think PayPal is the best of the available ones. That said, what are the steps that I have to take to send money that I have on my Wise account to PayPal so I can pay for my order?
PS: I have some USD and NZD at the moment, but no CAD. Do I convert the currencies in the Wise app or can I do it on PayPal as well? Thanks in advance!
Hey there. We're glad to hear you're intending to use Wise for your purchase 🙌
On our end, we can send money to PayPal, but check with them if they can accept it. You can also reach out to the store directly, and ask if they'll accept a bank transfer payment. If they do, you can follow these guides: wi.se/howtosendmoney and wi.se/guidetocad
The platform to convert your money is up to you - Wise will always use the real exchange rate, or mid-market rate. More info: wi.se/realexchangerate and wi.se/moneyconversion
Lastly, if you have a Wise card, that's a possible payment option too: wi.se/getthedebitcard
Hope this helps, but if you need further assistance, drop us a private message on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter/X. Our team is also available via: wi.se/contactus
Hi, I want to recieve money in my home currency (AUD) from someone overseas (EUR). If I request a set amount in AUD will they be able to pay in Euros?
Hey, Jade!
If you're using the request money feature, the sender will need to pay in the currency that's being requested. Therefore, since we don't accept payments via SWIFT in AUD - you can only send AUD to Wise from a bank account in your name within Australia. Then, this will not be possible. For more info, check here: wi.se/guidetoaud
Alternatively, you can just get the sender to set up a normal EUR to AUD transfer. Once we received the money in EUR, we'll convert it to AUD and send it to you. For more info on how to send money, check here: wi.se/howtosendmoney

Hi, Shamima. Generally, there are some types of accounts or payments we can't accept when sending money to Wise - either by paying for a transfer, adding money, or sending to another Wise user. We've covered some here: wi.se/incompatibleaccountsandcurrencies
While Paddle isn't listed there, we'd suggest checking with them as well if they support sending to Wise. And you can check our Acceptable Use Policy for your reference to ensure that it's a supported transaction: wi.se/usepolicy

Can we request for recurring fee using a single QR code or link?
Hi, Kennethdale! If you mean using the same link to receive recurring payments, at the moment, only some business accounts can generate payment links can be reusable - personal account payment links can only be single use.
Single use payment links can only receive one payment and will be automatically closed once a payment is received. Reusable payment links can receive multiple payments, and you'll need to close them if you want to stop receiving payments

Hello, there 👋
We do support transfers from USD to PHP. But if you mean to receive money in your Wise account, new accounts in the Philippines can't open balances. That means you can't receive from third-parties. We're always expanding and hopefully things will change in the future.

Hey Ana 👋 Please note, we only accept incoming payments from cryptocurrency related businesses if they’re regulated and/or supervised in the EU or UK. You can see more on this here: wi.se/incompatibleaccountsandcurrencies

In the meantime, you can use USD, EUR or GPB to pay for transfers, and receive payments in USD and EUR from other Wise users. In both cases, it would be sent via SWIFT: wi.se/swiftpayments

Hi there. No, they won't need a Wise account. To receive money into your Wise account, you'll need to open a balance and get account details to share with your sender. See here how: wi.se/getbankdetails
Once you’ve completed all the requirements, you’ll have your own account details that can be shared with whoever wants to send you money - friends, companies, or customers.

If you're living in a country where our balances aren't available, you won't be able to receive money into your account by updating it: wi.se/balanceavailability

How come I can't see Manage on the app in the personal or business account?
Hey there. We're assuming you're referring to the 'Manage' option that is shown in the bottom right corner of the app in our video here, is that correct?
If so, then please note that with the recently updated version of our app, that option is not found in the same place any longer. And that now the 'Payment' option is present in that spot of the app.
We understand that this may indeed be confusing to say the least, but please take note that you can find more info on receiving payments on our page here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney - as this was what the video then further elaborated on after selecting the 'Management' option.
We also went ahead and reached out to our relevant team about the fact that this video is outdated, so thank you for your reply here.
Furthermore, please feel free to send us a PM or DM via Facebook, Instagram, or X, in case you have any other questions or concerns. We'd be happy to help you, of course.
@@Wise Hey thanks you for the reply, appreciate your time.
No problem at all, we're happy we could help out!
I am unable to get access to my usd details to receive payment … currently to receive payment is not functional with wise
Hey, there.
Thanks for reaching out. Whether you can receive money onto your Wise account is determined by where your account is registered. Since the balances feature is not available to everyone. This means, if you're not located in an eligible region, you still can open a Wise account and send money, but you can't get account details to receive money from others. This is likely the reason why you can't receive money on your Wise account in USD.
For more info on where this feature is available, check here: wi.se/balanceavailability.
If you have any other questions on this, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter (X), so we can better advise you on your case. Alternatively, you can also reach out to us via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus.
I opened an account for Wise in my mobile. But I can't setup or open a balance because it's not showing up there. What shall I do?
Hey Marleo! It sounds like you might not be in an eligible region, if you're not seeing the option. Keep in mind, our account features haven't reached every country, yet. Please double-check this list here: wi.se/balanceavailability
If you do see your country listed, then you'll need to reach out to our support team for further help 👉 wi.se/contactus Or, we're also available over Instagram, X, or Facebook private message.
If I use any of these methods to receive payment (i.e email, phone number, Wise card number etc) will the person sending me money be able to see my Full Name as per my ID?
Hey there. When the sender enters your details, they will see your name as it is registered on your Wise account 😊
Here is more on how to send money with a link: wi.se/sendmoneywithlink
And this is for sending money with an email address: wi.se/moneytoemail

Hi I have wise account i create but money not received why can you guaid me please my friend send money but na receive but why
hey wise, if someone sent money using wise, would i receive it directly into my bank account?
Hey there. You'll just need to share your account details with the sender so they can set up a transfer, and this way you'll directly receive money into your bank account.
Once Wise has sent the money out, it can take some time for your bank to process it. If you’re receiving EUR, for example, it can take 1-2 working days before the money settles in your account 🙂
i am trying to get an Iban account in Kenya but its not possible. i am a freelancer and i like your rates since i have been advised by a friend how will you help
Hi. We currently don't offer the Wise account to new customers in Kenya: wi.se/balanceavailability, but we certainly hope to in the future, so keep an eye out for any updates about this. You can still send money with us: wi.se/howtosendmoney 😊

As a wise user i can receive payments without exposing my details to the sender, and can i send money without exposing my details to the receiver, how do wise protect my data.
You can find people using the email if they allow you to. And then you'll either see the name you're sending to or also see the account details if you've done money to email feature with us. I meant can I receive payments without exposing my account details?
Yes, you can absolutely do that! If someone is sending you money using Wise, you don’t have to share your bank details with them. You can set a primary account to receive money into and just share your email with them. Check here for more details: wi.se/markprimaryaccount
